This is a great spot. Not only is the food delicious, but the prices are great too. This is a very non-descript place that I've been overlooking but am glad I found it. There's not many places to park but parking is free. Service is very good and welcoming, with a casual atmosphere. There's a reasonable size menu to choose from. I went for two chorizo tacos and one chicken. I found the chicken to be the better option, but enjoyed both. Also, my wife and I shared esquites, which was absolutely delicious. Finally, we finished off our meals with a tamarind drink and a jamaica drink, both of which were tasty.

Food was good maybe a 3.8/4. We were the only ones in there. The place wasn't noticeably dirty but it definitely needs a deep clean. Food came out pretty quick, and although it wasn't the most flavorful food I would try again.

Tried this place tonight after reading about it on Yelp's top 100, though It is listed as a different name on there or has changed it since the list. Service was great and attentive. Very friendly and offered lots of recommendations of their favs which I always appreciate. Went with the popular carne asada fries and the chicken, Birria and carne asada. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I do think it is kinda hard to find good street tacos in the DMV area so was very happy to find some really flavorful and obviously marinated meat for each of the ones I got. Need to come back to try so many other menu items As far as ambiance it is your kind of hole in the wall type of place but in a good way and not a scary way haha. I do wish they served beer or wine, but oh well guess I don't need a beer with my street tacos haha. Do yourself the favor and make the trip to try!

Yum birria tacos and ramen! Eli's Taqueria opened about a month ago, and for those who are NoVA foodies, yes they are in the spot where NoNos Taqueria was. But we are here to talk about Eli's Taqueria. They are a no frills, "hole in the wall" stop for tacos, specifically birria tacos. Slow cooked beef bathed in consumme broth, wrapped in warm cheese and a crunch outer shell. Yum. I was also thrilled to see they had birria ramen as well as I've found this dish hard to come by. Service was quick, and food was delicious. 4/5 as I felt the tacos could have had a extra spoonful of meat for that wowfactor. Can't wait to see how this new business fares out!

Phenomenal tacos and great people. Came here to get some birria from Noños, only to discover Noños was no longer operating here. Stuck around to see how this new place was and... wow. As a recent NOVA transplant from South Texas, I've struggled to find good tacos here. This place is phenomenal, just as good as any place you'll find in south Texas or So-Cal, and the star dish is anything with asada. The asada is beautifully seared and seasoned, and they add a generous portion whether on the tacos or the fries. I've already come twice in their first week opening. The Birria is also excellent. Service-wise, the person running the front (I think her name is Alex) is so sweet and friendly. Makes it all the easier to come back.

Went in for the first time today, and let me tell you this place is great! Aurora was such a sweetheart made us feel right at home with her charm, very patient with us as we figured out what to eat given it was our first time. The food, the food was great came out hot and steamy, taste buds gave the Chicken tacos/Shrimp tacos and the Birria tacos all a pass a thumbs up We will definitely be coming back again next time for the Carne Asada fries !!! Keep up the good work you guys! Thanks again

This is my go to stop when I'm craving Pupusas. I used to order from their food truck, Taqueria La Ceibita on Columbia Pike. I was very excited when I learned that they had opened a brick and mortar right down the street as well. Both are still in operation. We have tried all of the pupusa flavors, and all of them are really good, but my favorites are the Revuelta, and Frijol com Queso. On my most recent visit, I tried their Esquites for the first time. The flavors were all there, but I do prefer my corn to have more crunch and a char to it, still good though. I also tried their Queso Birria taco. The flavor of the taco is good, and I appreciate the fact that they automatically provide you with a small consommé. They have a large dining room if you would like to eat in, but you can also order takeout. Their full menu is available online. Everything is made to order. Very small parking lot, kind of tough to get in and out of, but there is also street parking if you can find a spot.

Both times we've gone, it was during their happy hour, which runs until 7 pm, and we stuck to the special menu. Those have included their Charcuterie Board (something that contributed to Dr. Oz not being a senator), crispy Brussels sprouts, their Margarita flatbread, chicken skewers, and truffle fries. Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. After it opened up for a bit it was quite drinkable.

There's two parking garages nearby and street parking. It's also walking distance from the Courthouse Metro stop. I sat at the bartop and my server was named Julia and she was so friendly! I asked her a bit about the menu and I ordered this drink that was kinda like a whiskey sour but I'm blanking on the name. The interior of Verre was nice. It looked like a wine bar, very quiet wasn't too loud despite me going around dinner time. Def a great place for a girls night or date.

This place is perfect to meeting with friends or even a date night. The back or the restaurant is dark, but in a good way. They also had live music Saturday night (not sure if this is every night). It was a good volume, until they went back to the restaurant music and then it got LOUD. Not too bad, just was shocked that it was so loud. For food we started with my fave, miso soup. After that we had the Chirashi. It was a nice assortment and a good start to dinner. Next we did the Dragon Roll, a classic and they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is chill, with great decor and thoughtful lighting and as the name suggests, bartenders always have a record going. The front room is largely the bar with high tops up front. About that $23 salad: The portion is a little skeet (that's an STL term - look it up) but the chicken was honestly juicy and flavorful as hell. Could not ask for a better parking situation. Ordering was almost seamless. We got there at 1 o'clock, middle of the day on 4/18, plenty of empty tables. We went up to the bartender to take our order, and then gave them our table number and they delivered it. The QR code on the table only shows you the menu. It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
