The Steam Lab and H20 rooms for my toddler and baby make this a great place to have a play date in Buford, especially on a Thursday when they are open until 7 pm (other days it's 4 pm). I didn't take pictures because of other children around, but whether your kids have high sensory needs like mine or you just want the option for indoor or outdoor play this was great for the kids to get to run around outside too. It did its job to entertain and be unique, but the cameras were fuzzy when taking our pics and the gift shop was so-so. There are bathrooms which are nice to have in there. I say it like that because it seemed too tiny to have any sadly not gender neutral.. in any case. I would say go here if you have nothing else to do, but once you been, that's kinda it. Was hoping it was more elaborate and bigger and maybe even informative and more scientific perhaps.

Some of the paintings actually made me hallucinate just looking at them, because of the vivid trance causing design the artist created. I really liked the metal sculpture outside the building created by Rita Blitt named "The Passionate Gesture Retrospective Exhibition."

Getting the tickets was a pain because they don't take checks so it makes it very difficult for schools, but once we got that settled, the exhibit was great. Mr. Ray, the tour director at site, was amazing (as were all his team). He was a pro with our students and our needs. He addressed some other loud patrons for me when they caused some drama...handles three large groups at one time, really went the extra mile for us. I was extremely pleased as my kids really enjoyed it. I have been before and value them adding a Japanese room, and they upped the cafe game as well. We will continue to visit these exhibitions if Fever continues to support great local workers and great content. Well done.

I went at about 3pm on a Saturday, and the line to get in wasn't long at all. There was an option to choose Titanic or Van Gogh, regular ticket($40) or VIP($60). It started with a timeline of his life, and some of his most famous paintings. There were 2 different large rooms with the paintings from his Japan trips and flower series projected everywhere around the room. I'd bring a jacket because it was really cold in few places. You can take as long as you want, but it really doesn't take much time to get through the entire thing. Maybe 40 minutes if you're reading everything. We got the VR experience added for $5, and that was cute, but nothing to really write home about. At the gift shop, I got a sunflower tea set ($30) & the large can of blooming tea ($19.99). Those were my favorite part. Then as we exited, we were able to draw a picture and have it animated on a projector for a while.

I definitely learned a lot about the Atlanta and South music landscape. Could not leave without taking a picture of the famous pink car. Before leaving I also had the opportunity to do the escape room and baby that was an experience like none other. The entire experience includes a tour guide and he did not come to play with us. Lots of fun and puzzles to figure out. I am not sure if we made it out safely or not but I had a few good laughs. I would definitely recommend if you're into music and leaning about the culture.

As it happened, we were able to make it here around 2:15 p.m. or so on a Saturday. We had visited once before over a decade previously, so I had no real recollection of it. The museum is located within a mile of the loop highway around Athens. We arrived and parked in the covered deck. To access the museum, you then walk down away from where you entered. I found the front desk and offered to show the young woman staffing it our tickets. She said that she did not have a way to actually scan those, so we were waived in... I liked a wall-exhibit as you enter: large letters spelling 'WELCOME' but formed from several types of mounted security cameras (none or some of which may be active...). You ascend a long stairway. to your left is some temporary exhibits. These were more of the 'modern art' variety. A series of rooms about Hiroshima and another room with sensory nausea-inducing video. In the opposite direction are the more static galleries. These are laid out roughly in accordance with art styles or time periods. There is a room devoted to colonial / antebellum Georgia, one devoted to Impressionism, one to 1930's Depression-era works, etc. I enjoyed these more than I did the modern wing. We finihsed up and headed out within an hour. The exhibit is free. Unless there is some travelling exhibit that is of particular interest, I don't think I'll likely be back within another decade, though.

Representation by the de Koonings, Renoir, Cassatt, Okeefe and other acclaimed artists, you will also be turned on to talent you likely haven't heard of. I was captivated by the photography of Jim Fiscus as well as the gallery featuring work of black artists. Regarding logistics: the museum is open every day except Monday. Check their website for hours. Parking is free, as is the museum. But if you can, consider putting a few dollars in the kitty to help defray expenses.

The painting is itself spectacular and top of that they have added a visual aids element to it and makes the whole art more digestible and easy to understand. There are other portions of the exhibit we come to visit and know lots of history about Atlanta. One day is not enough to cover all the exhibits.

Inside the planetarium, the domed projection screen displayed the night sky in stunning 10K resolution, featuring a live view of the moon and surrounding stars. As you recline in your seat and look up at the beautiful visuals overhead, classical musicians perform a creative mix of timeless pieces along with arrangements from Star Wars and other contemporary music. The combination of the music and the immersive visuals made the whole experience feel magical. I had a fantastic time and would absolutely return for another show. It is a unique and memorable way to enjoy live music in a truly special setting.
