My wife and I just recently came here as this place was just remodeled last month. It used to be owned by AMC for a while, and was just taken over by NCG. They have extremely comfortable seats here now; they all recline, and the place is very clean. The prices are reasonable if you come earlier in the day. Hubby and so came for the Sunday matinee.. $7 for a ticket is pretty good. The young man checking us in was very pleasant and I liked the self-butter popcorn station. The womens bathroom was not very clean imo and the seats, although comfy were very worn and could use some upholstery. As soon as we walk in, there was several workers just standing by the front desk not doing anything while me and my wife waited for someone to literally just come and scan our tickets so we can go watch the movie. Great experience at the movies! Plenty of parking. Walked in line wasn't to bad. I took my kids to see Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. $7 a ticket and we got popcorn and a soda $6 each but you get free refills. The theater was pretty clean and we started out in an empty theater but by the time the previews were finished it was a full house. The movie itself was soooooo long but pretty good kinda reminded me of Return of the Jedi so like a Return of the Jedi reloaded lol. The seats are recliners so you definitely sit in comfort. We always come to this theater for the latest movies. We were just here 2 weeks ago to see Jumanji 2. With that being said we'll definitely be returning for Bad Boys 3 lol. read more

No movie, no communication. after sitting in theater 8 for over an hour past the start time and guests repeatedly leaving to ask management why the movie hadnt started we gave up. When queried, the best answer the workers could give was "we're working on it". No one ever entered the theater to inform the customers about the problem, gave an estimated time to fix problem, or that the movie was not going to happen. finally it took the shift leads mom (yes mom) to organize a refund line for customers who had given up and came out to the lobby find an answer. worse yet, it was two customers who thought to to return to theater 8 and inform the rest of the folks that the movie was not going to run and to go to the lobby for a refund. Obviously there are a lot of teachable moments for the young kid who was left to deal with these issues. He was too young and inexperienced to deal with an issue of this magnitude. There was no written plan in place to deal with this issue and it was left to the customers and the workers mom to organize and deal with it. Again not blaming the shift lead. He was out of his league but whomever is the sr manager needs to step up and enact more training to deal with these issues. We all get that problems happen but a complete lack of communication turned a small problem into a fiasco by not addressing it. After an hour in the theater and another half hour in line everyone was refunded their money. I am sure that the projector was not fixed and that the workers were busy selling tickets for the next showing with absolutely no thought get ahead of the problem. read more

Wonderful concept, but needs better implementation! We ordered tickets in advance at 10am. My 80 yr old mother and I arrived early thinking she wouldn't have to stand in a long line. We were wrong. The scan bar on my phone meant nothing. Additionally, we weren't able to access the "free popcorn " coupon without standing in a line again after waiting on the email to populate. Furthermore I was told I could only get the popcorn coupon if I printed it. Once again it is populated with a bar scan. The sound and visual of the movie are great. The chairs are comfy. The theater is dirty and my expectations of great experience were met with ambivalence. We deserve better in Snellville read more

I would like a refund on the ticket I purchased on Friday, December 27th for the 6:15 pm showing of Wicked. That night, there was a power outage which caused all the movies and movie-goers to end their showings abruptly and we were asked to leave. When I inquired about a refund, I was met with rude responses saying they could not do anything with the power out, and I was given a Rain Check ticket. After returning on Saturday, December 28th for my refund, I was told they could not give me a refund due to it not being the same night as the showing and because it was a cash purchase and they do not do cash refunds. If that is the case, then they should have further inquired about my request for a refund on that night and had the General Manager figure out how to get me my cash refund that night. Instead, the General Manager, Paula, was very rude to me again today on Saturday, December 28th and told me there was no way she could help me. I expect a refund on my ticket purchase for the movie I did not get to see. The theater is gross, worn-down, and the service is poor. read more

I'm impressed. It takes a lot to do that. I used to work at this theater many moons ago when it was Snellville Oaks. It has come a long way. For the better. Ticket prices here can't be beat for this area. We were among the first to view Black Panther last Friday. I bought tickets in advance and when we arrived for the 11:50 am show, it was sold out. Wow! Snack prices are decent. They are not over the top and there is a good selection. They have 2 refill stations for drinks and popcorn. I was nervous walking into the theater. Would we have to sit in those tired old seats? Nope! They had brand new red leather recliners waiting on us. This is a vast improvement. My shoes didn't stick to the floor either. There is hope yet. My siblings and I tried to see the film Renaissance Film that was showing at 10:30. I arrived at the theater at 10:40 to avoid watching previews and when my siblings and I tried to enter the theater the doors were locked to our surprise. When two young ladies opened the door they asked "what did we need?" And we explained that we were here to see the Renaissance Film and they told us the theater was closed and we could only come in if we brought a tickets online, so we tried to buy a ticket online and they would not let us. I think if NCG wants a group of young employees to work the closing shift alone, they should be respectful and not make up fake rules in the moment to not allow people from watching a movie. read more

We arrived at 10pm for a movie that started at 9:50pm and before we even got to the door, a young male worker EXTREMELY RUDELY opened the door from the inside stating "y'all can't come in, we closed" because we didn't have online tickets prior. There was nothing nowhere stating we needed online tickets yet he didn't even give us a chance to say anything before he shut the building door in our faces. Horrific customer service. read more

This is a very nice theatre. I went to the late showing of A Simple Favor. The line for the tickets/snacks was very short. There was only one register that was open and my wait time was very minimal. To my surprise the ticket was only $5.00. The worker told me that is their Tuesday special. The seats are comfortable and roomy. I usually freeze when I go to the movies but surprisingly the temperature was at a comfortable setting. Pre-pandemic we loved going to NCG. The young woman who helped us was awesome. The trash cans were pretty empty. The employees all had masks, one girl had hers on the others had theirs just hanging around their necks. The popcorn was stale the only thing they have out for you to put on your popcorn is butter, you have to ask for the salt. They now charge for the flavored salt. Our nachos were gross. The Coke freeze machine choices had very little flavoring it was mostly ice. There was very little selection of candy. There were no napkins where the drinks were the one dispenser that had napkins was more of a small roll of paper towel type of napkins. You could hear the movie next-door. We had to hit both sides just to get enough straws for our drinks. I can honestly say that was the last time we ever visit them again. read more

I'm glad NCG took over this movie theater . The last time I was here this movie was owned by another theater company and I paid nearly 50 dollars for me and my 5 and 2 year old to see TMNT. It was horrible! This location is bigger than Stone Mountain location and a little nicer. Prices still the same, matinees $6 evenings 7. Reasonable prices on snacks as well. We went for a matinee and paid $5 for the movie and got a huge tub of popcorn and large drink for $7.50 and it came with free refills. I went on opening day to see Black Widow. It was supposed to start at 1:25pm. The screen was still dark at 1:35 so I went to the lobby and found an employee, and asked that he have the problem addressed. A couple minutes later several still flashed on the screen and then it went black again. After ten more minutes I went back to the lobby and asked for a refund. They offered me a free movie pass. No thanks, this is not the first time this theater has had problems with projections while I was there. They also told me that manager had been made aware of the problem, but no employee had yet come into the theater to apologize and make the audience aware. I demanded a refund for the ticket and the concessions purchased, which they then provided. Think twice before you go there. read more

Went to NCG Cinema off of Main Street with my two cousins and don't think I'll ever be going back. Parking was easy to find but upon entering I was met with several looks of annoyance as if the employees did not want to be there. They were disorganized with my ticket check-in and food ordering as well. The prices were decent because t was a manatee and the food wasn't too expensive either. After we finally sat down in the theatre, the screen was just black for about 20 minutes until they finally cut on the movie. However, the screen was angled too high therefore the top quarter of the projected movie was off the screen. I immediately went to go tell one of the employees but the screen wasn't fixed until 3/4 of the way through the movie. Overall NCG is good for the price but I'd much rather just pay a little extra for a better overall experience at a Regal. read more

Overall value when it comes to concession and ticket prices compared to its competitions. FULL DISCLAIMER: This occurred several months ago and I have yet to return, I'm not sure if the theatre has improved or worsened since my visit. I would put my visit at around late March-early April. - I usually have a pretty easy experience coming here; it's very reasonably priced, and the student discount makes it worth it, but my most recent experience was less than pleasant. My girlfriend and I entered the movie house a considerable time before the film was scheduled to play (I say "considerable" because I realize that a young couple entering a theatre early can come off as sketchy.) We sat in the theatre talking for about 10 or so minutes before the manager entered the movie house and asked us to leave. After asking why, we were told that it was because another employee allegedly entered the movie house and heard us fooling around. I can understand the concern and, if I were in the manager's position, likely would have taken the same action up to this point. However, I became especially tense when, after leaving the room, the manager publicly announces (I quote to the best of my ability) "Please remain outside of the theatre until your movie starts," and several people gave looks to my girlfriend and I. It was just attention I would have rather not had. I noticed that as she made the announcement, she and another employee were looking at each other, and this statement made the employee laugh quite a bit. The movie eventually starts, we watch the movie, the movie ends, we leave. After leaving, I realize I've misplaced my phone, so I call the cinema from my girlfriend's phone, explain that I believe my phone may still be in the movie house, they said that there was a movie going on in the theatre and they couldn't go in. Before I was able to respond, I was hung up on. We immediately drove back to the theatre and my girlfriend knocked on the door (they had just closed) and the manager came to the door and said we would have to wait until tomorrow. (I would like to add here that the manager seemed rather annoyed and impatient with us.) My girlfriend pleaded with her and she reluctantly allowed her in, she quickly went in and returned with my phone, and we left. She informed me in the car that when she entered the movie house, there was no film playing and it was entirely empty. With the exception of the announcement made by the manager, I'm not as unhappy with the action she took as I am with the attitude she maintained while taking action. I'm also quite dissatisfied that I was hung up on when trying to recover my phone. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience that ruined what could have been a wonderful evening. On the bright side, if you HATE when kids try to get steamy during the Incredibles 2, this place is for you, because the staff here will not only take immediate action, but they will also indirectly publicly humiliate those menaces. Seriously though, don't let this review stop you from seeing your movies. They're cheap. You're there for the movie, not the customer experience, and if you ARE going for a good customer experience, take your expendable income to a dine-in theatre (literally anywhere except ovation theatre though they are literal dogs and they treat employees terribly.) read more

In general, NGC locations are pretty cool, and this redo of an old theatre fits that bill. It's a good place to watch a movie. There are fewer seats per theatre but they are roomy love seats. However, these don't recline like at the Stone Mountain location. The free refills on popcorn is nice, and the spot is generally clean. The crowds haven't picked up yet because it's new, so you'll be able to get in easily and watch many first-run movies. read more

Came in to watch a movie with a jug of water which I figured wasn't allowed, but it's also just water so I thought it'll probably be fine. The guy behind the counter didn't greet me and instead just said "no outside food or drink". I was like fair enough and my girlfriend took it back to the car. Then I politely asked for a complimentary cup of water and he said "Alright." then I look on the screen and he's charging me $4 for a kids cup. He heard me say complimentary and still tried to sneak it in there. I've worked at multiple theaters and they've all offered courtesy cups. I just told him to take it off and forget about it. Overall not impressed with the staff at this location. The Stone Mountain location is definitely worth the extra driving much more friendly staff. read more
