My favorite place to go shooting. I liked the customer service so much from John and Chris I signed up for a year membership with two of my friends. The staff is open to sharing knowledge, and making sure you and the people around you are safe. I highly recommend this facility for experienced and first time shooters. Weekends are busy so get there early. if you dont have a firearm try and bring a friend that does, they have firearms to rent but to avoid or limit accidents they typically don't rent to groups or single individuals who don't have a regular or occasional access to guns. read more

Every time I come to this place something goes wrong. A few months ago I bought a case of mag tech 9 mm bullets and they were actually 40 SW, But labeled 9mm. So each time I shot my Glock 19 The round would get stuck. I thought it had to do with my gun and my gunsmith said whoever reloaded these labeled the box wrong. They mixed up the brass cases. these were not new bullets. they were supposed to brand new bullets. So somebody there at elite Armory is reloading bullets and labeling them is brand new. Anything that has to do with guns and ammunition needs to be taken very seriously. The bullets they sold me could have easily injured myself and people around me. Now, I called twice to ask if there was a line and wait time the guy said no on both calls. I show up he said there's a long wait time. I highly do not recommend this place.. read more

Lined up for the range 30 minutes before opening on a Saturday and was maybe 8th in line. I was in the door shooting at 10:15 (place opened at 10). Guys behind the counter tried to get the line moving as quick as possible and still provide quality service. Will definitely be stopping in more often. Today was my first visit to Elite Armory Plus, I immediately could tell the new owners made this place more welcoming than before. I can't remember the guy that helped me but he was bigger homie with a beard and a Smith and Wesson on his hip, anyway he was super helpful and took the time to explain some of the details for minors on the range. The range is clean and well kept, clean bathrooms is a plus when you have a young lady accompanying you. The only reason for the 4star is not every employee was as helpful while I browsed the gun cases. But all in all a good experience for my already firearm proficient daughter. We need more places like this, where parents and minors are welcomed with open arms..after all they are the next generation of pro gun advocates. read more

I've had a wonderful experience the both times I've visited this range. The staff there are very knowledgeable and often times there's barley any wait to enter the store, especially if all you want to do is use the range. In my most recent visit I brought my Ruger 10/22 for range use but had a problem with the bolt locking back and not returning, I went back into the main store and asked for help and was met by friendly staff members who did their best to help, and we found a temporary fix for the time being. As I was shooting more, the bolt locked back again and wouldn't close so I went back and this time got helped by the armorer on staff, who quickly disassembled the gun and found the problem in less than 5 min, when I asked how much I owed they said not to worry about it. The people who work here are absolutely wonderful and make sure all their customers have a great experience, I will definitely be back! read more

This honestly pains me to write this since I've been coming here since it was Tracy Rifle and Pistol. I used to believe this was the best shop in the Central Valley, but not so much anymore. I went to go to the range that they have at this location and was waiting in line patiently and was told it was a hour wait which I was fine with. While waiting I asked if I could leave my stuff behind the counter so I could use the bathroom quickly while I waited. The guy behind the counter said no. I was kind of taken back by this as I've asked previously to do this and it was no problem then. I didn't want to take all my stuff back out to my car, take it in the bathroom with me, or leave it completely unattended. When it was my turn to go into the range there was no issue until towards the end of my time. Before I had gone in I noticed a couple had gone in before me about 4-5 minutes ahead of me. So theoretically towards the end of the hour long session everyone gets they should've been called 4-5 minutes before my time was up. This was not the case I was called off my lane before they were which didn't make sense since their time would've started before mine started. Idk it was a holiday weekend and I get customer service jobs can be rough at times but I felt unwelcomed. This used to be the only range that I'd go to, but now I'll be looking into other places. read more

First timer at elite and the experience was terrible walked in took awhile to get help after after getting help from one of the guys answered questions for a few minutes a guy coming from the back saying we cannot shoot because he smells smoke on the door we noticed that there was a sign about Marijuana but that was none of our concern because Noone I our party smokes .. yet we came in and got accused of smelling like smoke we mentioned no one smoke Marijuana guy responds "I didn't say anything about Marijuana" our next question is we'll smell of what type of smoke whole thing was sketched and seemed like a bunch of stereotyping based on color which is unfortunate we proceed to leave and there is a guy's smoking cigarettes right out front overall beware of "fitting the description" that is not accepted here my experienced sucked read more

Nice set up for a very safe shooting range. Love the dividers and all of their safety measures. RSO are active and step in when rookies mess up, firm but patiently. Targets are fun shapes and pics and I bought my handgun here and lots of ammo and they did a good job with that too. read more

Really glad we purchased here and not a big box chain store. This is our first gun purchase and we could not be happier with the customer service from beginning to end. We purchased our gun about 2 weeks ago and the guy helping us took his time in answering all of our questions and really made us feel confident in our purchase. When picking up our gun and trying it in the range today it was another top notch experience. We were helped with additional questions we had and the guy helping us today even came to check on us in the shooting range to make sure we were ok. Nice place, friendly staff and awesome selection of firearms. The range is nicely ventilated and well kept. My only gripe is the price to shoot. Its definitely the most I've ever paid anywhere to shoot (indoor and outdoor). But I guess their business their way. It's your choice to shoot there..or not. Cost me about $35/hr for my lady and me to shoot (I think I also paid for 3 targets in that price) Luckily I had my own eye and ear protection and my own guns! I can imagine if you rented a pistol, purchased a few boxes of ammo and needed eyes, ears and targets. You are definitely spending $150 or more for a range trip. But bottom line..nice place, friendly staff. read more

No longer a fan... I've been shooting here for a long time, back when it was tracy rifle and pistol. I've been taking my son shooting for the last 2.5 years since he was 5. Even when elite took over, I was able to rent him a 22 and let him shoot. Recently they've changed there policy to kids have to be at least 8 to shoot , and 21 and over to shoot a rental. I can no longer shoot with my son so I just take the ride to California shooting sports in modesto were they will let him shoot. Customer service isn't the best, there not really friendly, and never answer the phones..... Hopefully, they can iron out some kinks, I used to enjoy shooting here all the time because it's so close to home. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. Do not come if your are black or any other disenfranchised minority group. After being in close proximity for more than 15 minutes, and we were getting ready to shoot, the attendant stated that he smelled weed and that my group wouldn't be able to shoot. Complete waste of time driving out here, filling out the paperwork, and going through gun selection, just to be told after 20 minutes we couldn't go in because the attendant smelled weed through his mask. I can't help but wonder if it was my dreadlocks and Black Lives Matter mask that caused the attendants sudden change of heart. read more

Great group of people working here. Clean, efficient, and safe range and sales floor that's very family oriented. Watched staff tastefully brush off SJW types who scream racism and politics at every turn for every perceived injustice in the world. Lines are managed well. Staff will normally ask what your looking for and comment from memory to prevent any unnecessary waits. They seem to be churning out the ammo for range use, but regrettably not for takeout. Sa!es staff pleaded for patience due to primer delays, etc. Steve sold me a membership and couldn't be happier. I make appointments for the range, skip the waitlist, and have unlimited access to the range and it's rentals. Seems the Castro store has more guns for sale, but Tracy plays classic rock and has a range/classroom with instructors. Found my second home. They even have a dog! read more

Being from Tracy, this was always my go to place for firearms and firearm related things. Yeah maybe they have historically been a little pricier than local competitors like Elite Arms in Manteca (rip) or Barnwood in Ripon...but I try supporting local businesses as much as I can. That is until I tried to purchase a Glock 26 from them last week and they gave me an over-the-phone price of "low 900's before taxes and fees." Talk about taking advantage of a pandemic and the market demand for these firearms... Needless to say, it really rubbed me the wrong way and I went to one of the aforementioned competitors and walked outta there paying just a hair more than half the price that Elite Armory wanted to charge for that Glock 26. I guess what I'm saying is, shop around before making your purchasing decision....especially in these times. read more
