With an aesthetics and calm ambience, this salon deserves praises for its spa, facial and wax services. They used Dermalogica products in all of their beauty treatments, leaving one feeling supple, fresh and rejuvenated. I should know, as I am a huge fan of Dermalogica! The price range is a bit on the steep, but still affordable if you are looking into a spa and facial session every 3 months or so. They are strategically situated near the Goodwood tram station, train station and along the bus routes on Goodwood Road. Parking is available behind the salon or across the street, along the Goodwood library.

They are all extremely nice and make you feel comfortable and trusting. Bikini waxes (and triple X's) are always awkward. You get a bit nervous getting your parts out for someone else! But Linda and her employees are extremely nice. They are as gentle as they can be and chat away with you ensuring that you are happy. They use a range of waxes, so the right one can be used on the right body part and you can have the best result. It is not extremely cheap as it is a small boutique shop, not a chain. But the service is very personal and I definitely think it is worth spending the extra money. They shop also offers tans and manicures. I have never had either here, but I think that the quality would be great like everything else they offer.

In fact, their service and warm helpfulness began on the phone. Referred by a friend, I phoned looking for a short notice booking for myself and two girlfriends. We wanted to all have facials at the same time, prior to my friend's wedding the following day. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and after some creative juggling on their part, sorted us out a booking just when we wanted it and complete with a private room so we could bring our own champagne and nibbles. We each had a facial in succession, while the other two stayed in the 'champagne room'. So we were there over 3 hours and they made us feel so welcome and pampered. Each spa treatment begins with a foot spa, which feels amazing. New clients fill in a questionnaire based on Ayeurvedic principles and temperaments, to determine the type of aromatherapy oils and blends that are most suitable. A complimentary hot beverage is also part io the treatment as is a small gift pack of products and information on the first visit. Their marketing materials could be the subject of a 'this is how you should do it' masterclass. The treatment room is dimly lit with candles, smells divine, has unusual and pretty ornaments and features as well as relaxing music. I saw Kerri who just made me float away with serenity. She was sensitive and professional. All of us came out absolutely glowing and our skin felt sensational! I felt compelled to return the following week for a full body aromatherapy massage and saw Rose, who was also sensitive and professional. The care and attention as well as the take-away feeling of utter relaxation and rejuvenation is just amazing. I can't recommend them too highly. The salon offers a range of services including beauty treatments, the patented Anastasia brow treatments, hair and nails. Can't wait to book in again. I could get used to a life filled with L'indulgence!

And downstairs is a hair salon (which I haven't tried). Always make an appointment, as it is a popular place! And yes, they will recommend products for your skin, but are not overtly pushy about them. And I can highly recommend Jess, my current beauty therapist, she is very friendly and spends time looking at my skin and adjusting the treatment where needed.

However, the resident hairdresser at Kudos, David, is definitely a good choice. He used to work at SAX along Unley Rd until he recently opened up his own place. The interior of Kudos is very appealing. It is black and white, with minimal decorations and a red couch. Oh and the chairs. When you are having your hair washed you get to sit in chairs that give the rest of your body a massage. I didn't think there was anything better than a head massage at the hairdressers, but this is it. David always gives a good haircut. He is also amazing at dying. Once I decided my pink hair needed to be blonde. I proceeded to sit at the hairdressers for three hours until I had an amazing white blonde colour! Another lady works out of the hairdresser, doing manicures, spray tans and waxing. This means you don't even need to leave the shop to have the works!

Zeda was so professional and explained everything from the start and during the process, I felt so relaxed and comfortable and in safe hands. The redness went away for me later that day and I was able to wear make up that same day and continue normal product use a few days later. My skin feels and looks fresher and the blotches and patches I had seem to have gone to leave one tone. I've had the same lady do my waxing (cringe, who wants to hear me talk about waxing? Oh well, too late) for 9 years and she is amazing. No one can do it like her. She's quick, efficient and gets the job done the way it should be. On the odd occasion when she's not around and it's been important that I have an appointment with someone else, it just hasn't been the same. Still good, but not as great as this one lady: Vicky. Seriously girls (and guys who like to manscape and feel oh so smooth) head down to West Lakes at Gauci and make an appointment with Vicky and Vicky only. Your body will love you for it, I promise.
