They have a variety of services available for all ages. This is hands down - the best workout you can come across in the Lower Hudson Valley area! They helped me to tone up and build core and upper body strength that I never had before. This establishment is good for all ages. Not a welcoming environment at all and very dissatisfied with the clear favoritism being shown. It's almost as if sensei is scared of saying something to the parents of the jewish kids.

The program promotes fitness, confidence and respect of oneself and others in a positive and fun learning environment and my son has thrived with each successive session. I have been so impressed with not only the Little Ninja program (which, as I mentioned, goes beyond karate and teaches respect of one's parents, healthy eating and exercise habits, discipline, etc.), but also with Sensei Yuri who has the unique ability to pull the best qualities out of each student. His way of teaching is one that is fun, but treats each student regardless of age as one who must give and must receive respect. He is not afraid to expect the best of each student, and the students thrive! I'm excited for my son to now go to the next level of classes and also for our family to check out the other offerings at the school. The school has fitness programs for men, women and children (such as self defense, dance, piyo, etc.) and it's worth mentioning that many of the classes are sensitive of the needs of Orthodox students. While we are not Jewish/Orthodox, it is heartening to me that a student who is more comfortable with a male or female only teacher/class can choose that, or they can choose a unisex option depending on their comfort level, religious requirements, etc. There's lots of parking and the hours are great, with late hours and weekend hours for people who work/have school. This family/community-oriented place teaches martial arts while reinforcing life lessons (ex., confidence, positive attitude, humility, etc.). There are many reasons why my wife and I chose this place. We chose this place primarily because Master Bill Stevens and his staff are great. They keep kids continuously engaged throughout each lesson. Another big plus is that his schedule is flexible, and he offers a wide variety of class times, which makes it easier for my wife and me to schedule lessons, given our busy schedules. Aside from this, I like the location, the app, and the place is clean. He periodically hosts Game Night on Friday, allowing my wife and me to grab dinner without the kids. While in chemo and rehab, I did the "solo form" every morning in the hospital courtyard. When I was diagnosed (13 summers ago) and going through chemo, I sought out my sifu and he explained the training was so efficient that it masked the symptoms and added vitality. These techniques, ie those found in the solo form and other exercises build your inner strength in ways you might not even notice until put to the test. To me there is nothing better than authentic Shaolin and Tai Chi Chuan, for improving your well being into advanced age. At 67 with the cancer in remission since 2014, I can truly say that this is the absolute best system of learning martial arts. I was a pretty good fighter, winning trophies in the 1980's in Europe and the US into the early 2000's. Having studied Japanese, Korean and Chinese arts I felt comfortable with the process. But with all my past training this program kicked my behind. It's the absolute real deal.

What's it like to have your expectations exceeded every time you show up? One word that comes to mind is "awesome!" First of all, the dojo is spotless. Secondly, from the first time I showed up, I was treated with respect by the students and the people who work at the school. (As an aside, other places I visited I was barely acknowledged - I had to practically flag someone down to get some questions answered!) And when I looked around at the other people in the waiting area, everyone was friendly and had great things to say. Lastly, my interest is mainly in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I was glad to find out that there's a structure in the classroom where students can actually learn what they're supposed to do. All the instructors are gracious with their time, and they're very patient. As a beginner I was a little worried that I'd get wiped out in the class, but it was the opposite - I feel like I'm starting to get a grasp on jiu-jitsu.
