The home I bought had something like five different kinds of floor throughout the house, the same room would have multiple types of floors, I just didn't like it. Moreover, there was carpet everywhere. I hate carpet, especially in bathrooms. I spoke with my realtor and he recommended I reach out to T&D interiors. I drove into T&D interiors, my first trip to Lima, OH. I spoke with Joel, and we went over our options. I originally was going to get tile... I love tile floors. There was a problem, though, tile is cold. Ohio is frigid. Yeah that wouldn't have worked because heated tile is a bit too expensive for my budget. I don't like hardwood floors because it's easily damaged/scratched and needs a lot of maintenance. I was looking at just simple vinyl floor when he recommends luxury vinyl plank. It's scratch resistant and water proof. Sold! He showed me different colors and styles and I picked one that was grayish brown in color. Had him do my entire house. It wasn't cheap, but the end it looks amazing! I love my new floors. They originally gave me an estimate of 10 days to perform the labor, they did it in 7. Awesome! My home, thankfully is quite warm in the winter due to my furnace and the fact that I have two gas fireplaces. Like anything, though, fireplaces require maintenance. I have not had my fireplace swept/cleaned or had any maintenance performed since I moved here several years ago. I certainly do not know when that was done by the previous owners. I decided it would be a good thing to do so as I had used my main fire place quite extensively last winter and I wanted to be ready for this one. Finding a chimney sweep is a lot harder than I thought. Not a lot of businesses do it, and getting a hold of one was a pain as there were many people wanting them chimneys swept. I asked a friend of mine in the area who he would recommend and he said Showcase. I called them and they gave me an appointment. I was away on a business trip when they came to service my home and so dealt with my family. According to my family, they took some time as my fireplaces had a lot of soot/debris and needed a serious cleaning. The staff were courteous throughout. Definitely will use them routinely to ensure my fireplaces work efficiently and safely.

On September 8 a lightening storm took our 100 year old tree down on our home leaving us with a huge hole and water in living areas. I called roofers and Steve showed up buttoned down the 2 areas. I didn't see him leave as I was dealing with tree removers. I requested estimates from several companies and went with Buckeye other businesses could not do the job of a full roof replacement til December. Buckeye had the crew and put me on his list for October. His crew came and set up equipment and was ready by the 7:30 appointment time. The crew of 8 worked tirelessly for the day with only taking 1/2 hour break for lunch. I was impressed with how hard they worked, never stopping til they finished. It was a big job on a large 2 story home with addition. They had there system down to a science and left no debris of any kind behind. On top of all they were a pleasant and friendly crew.
