Saw Dr. Ash Khorram on 9/9/21 for an eval. Office personnel & COVID screening, excellent. Had current x-ray but was told I needed to get theirs, paid out of pocket for new ones $185. I was told Dr. would review & get back to me. Second appt 9/13/21, Dr. said I had bone loss and & recommend attaching bridge to existing implants. I explained I would like 1 more implant in the front and would be ok with bridge after removal of a teeth that needed to be extracted. Dr. Khorran told his assistant to get an imprint of my teeth to make flipper for the 2 front teeth in question on same day at an out of pocket cost of $500. I informed Dr. that I was going to ask previous dentist if a tooth can be added to my existing partial before getting the imprint. Dr. Khorran recommended I see an oral surgeon who I do not wish to name, a colleague of his. I explained that I could not see that oral surgeon. Dr. asked why & I said I was not going to discuss. I got an appt with a different oral surgeon for 10/13/21. On 10/25/21 I returned elite dental, told Dr. Khorran the oral surgeon said I had too much bone loss and he recommended using current implants to add permanent bridge (same recommendation made by Dr. Khorran on my 1st visit). Dr, Khorram looked into my mouth and said he cannot move forward until he speak to the oral surgeon I visited for more details and that he would let me know either way "if he can do anything for me". A supposed expert in his field, just said "if", a different tone from the 9/13/21 visit. I knew then that the Dr. Khorran had reservations about providing me with the much needed dental work. On the following day 10/26/21, I received a call from the office stating the Dr. said he cannot assure a good outcome and will not continue to provide dental service. I asked to speak to the Dr. but he was told he is with patients and would not be available to speak to me for that entire day. I asked if the Dr. spoke to the oral surgeon I visited and was told he did not (so much for not moving forward until he received further details). I asked what the Dr. Khorran's decision was based on and again I was told the Dr. does is not able to assure a good outcome. I was disappointed and let down by Dr. Khorran who not only wasted my time but acted unprofessional by not providing me with a proper explanation for his refusal to treat me. I believe his decision not to provide me with dental services is biased. read more

The definition of Elite- a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society. I have been coming to Dr Khorram for over 20 years! The reasons I have stayed is because he understands that a patient needs to feel in control of his or her treatment. I love his honesty, humor and compassion and he also educates me on my diagnosis, treatment and preventative care. His staff is exceptional and caring and attentive! A special shout out to Barbara, she is so kind and very easy to get along with, like an old friend who you haven't seen in a long time and like no time has passed! She is the perfect dental assistant and really know how to use the water suction!! Lucy Khorram is so nice and greets you with a beautiful smile! After 18 years of being a patient, I remain completely satisfied with the entire practice. I have just completed prep for 8 crowns on top, something I have been contemplating for years. With his steady hand and amazing bedside manner, Dr Khoram is not only a dentist, but an artist and and architect all in one. I haven't opened my mouth to smile in over a decade! My entire smile is transformed and this with only temps currently in. The entire office staff is professional, caring and together they are what keeps me coming back. 8 crown preps, lots of novacaine and a whole lot of grinding down the teeth.. no pain, no discomfort- just a beautiful smile as a result. My whole family are regulars at Elite Dental Studios. I'd highlight three specific areas as excellent. 1) Foremost is the dental care. You leave knowing the preventative measures are thorough (thanks Lisa), and Dr. Khorram has efficiently and painlessly handled all remediation. 2) Customer service is excellent, from expediting insurance claims, sending text reminders about upcoming appointments, and being ready for you as soon as you walk in the door. 3) Lastly is the fact that everyone is just so extremely nice. if you value the olden family doctor/dentist who actually knows who you are and what your needs are in a patient friendly environment, you would like the yorktown office. it differs substantially from the larger group practises where excellent physicians too often are ruined by snarky and obnoxious staff. the us govt been destroying commerce since wwii with the economy now that of thy typical ploutocracy where money counts more than service. but that's what voters have been voting for and so it goes. it's not just factory work that has been destroyed but also real estate and insurance. medicine is just the latest victim. read more

Everyone at Elite Dental Studios are extremely nice every time I come in. When I walk in it's a warm and welcoming environment. My family goes here and that's for good reason. I personally do not get nervous or anxious for any dental surgery but I know my mom can be and they always take care of her. My mom loves this place for that exact reason. Very personable people and you can tell that from the moment you walk in. This is the reason I highly recommend for children who may be scared to go to the dentist. To put it short... So I am a HUGE baby when it comes to the dentist . Worse then the kids . I unfortunately cracked my tooth and I called panic stricken the staff was wonderful , got me in the next morning and fixed me up, they fit me in for the same mid morning to get temps till I could get my crowns . It was actually a wonderful experience. They were all so nice and understanding of my fear . I would totally recommend everyone looking for an excellent dentist and staff look no further . It is just an overall great experience. You don't even feel like you're going to a dental office! Last week, after a cleaning - I was told I would need a crown. In prior years, I would've put it off continuously. However, no issue here! I was back the next day knowing you are always in the best hands.
