And let me tell you, some of them made it sound like I was about to enter the dental version of a medieval dungeon. Chains, dragons, and angry villagers may or may not have been implied. But plot twist: I went in anyway... and guess what? No dragons. No dungeons. Just a super professional, kind, and welcoming team who actually treats everyone--and I mean everyone--with the same level of respect and care, no matter your background, race, or how long it's been since your last flossing confession. There's no racism here--period. You walk through that door, you're a patient, not a stereotype. Let's also give a special shout-out to Donna at the front desk. She might come off a bit quick and to-the-point, but she's basically the dental office version of a well-organized fairy godmother. Always smiling, always checking in on how you're doing, and always wishing you a great day on your way out. If she ran for mayor of Yorktown Dental, I'd vote twice. Also worth noting: all those reviews complaining about past dentists? Pretty irrelevant now. Most of those folks don't even work here anymore, and the current team is doing a great job of turning the ship around--and making teeth shine along the way. So if you're nervous because of what you've read online, take it from me: leave the pitchfork at home, bring your teeth, and let these folks do their thing. It was my first visit and was better than any dentist office I've ever been to. Mary at the front desk was very friendly and got me checked in quickly and brought me back to meet my dental hygienist immediately where I met Claudine who was super friendly as well. She cleaned my teeth without any discomfort and was very efficient. I then met Dr. Jen Wachs who has great bedside manner and came and gave me the goood news that I was cavity free! I made my 6 month appointment with Mariann who was very accomodating and was on my way. Everyone I met was smiling and happy and seemed to be part of a great team which really exemplifies the name Family Dentistry. I will be bringing my wife and kids back for all their dental needs.
