But my most memorable trip in The Lone Star State was during the Yelp Spring Break in San Antonio on May 2017. It was my 2nd YSB experience before Yelp discontinued them (not sure if they did permanently). Most of the events were centered in San Antonio. We held events in Downtown and the River Walk: * The Vistana - rooftop pool party * Food Tour that included samplings from Ocho (inside Hotel Havana), TacoLand Riverwalk, Paesanos Riverwalk, La Boulangerie, and Zinc Bistro & Wine Bar * Briscoe Western Art Museum - Dia de Los Muertos themed Fiesta for Cinco de Mayo * UYE at the Hard Rock Cafe * The St Anthony Hotel - masquerade ball * Hemisfair * UYE brunch at the Pigpen ... it was hott, hott, hott in San Antonio but we had so much fun! Everything's BIG in TEXAS! Our home away from home was at WorldMark New Braunfels. The unit had a maximum occupancy of 6. It was a freakin' house. LoL Between the YSBSA events we did a little exploring on our own: AT&T Center - Home of the San Antonio Spurs (at the time of our visit the Spurs were away playing Game 3 in Houston) San Antonio River Walk - iconic landmark The Alamo - historic! Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo Tower of the Americas Observation Deck / Chart House Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo Texas has a plethora of delish and famous foods, but the main two are Chili and BBQ. There's a first for everything... it was my first time having a kolache when we stopped at Shipley Donuts. There's so much to do and see in this state. It's such a diverse population there's plenty to enjoy. My favorite tourist destination is the Alamo. If I return to Texas I would go elsewhere. Until I can visit again I'll enjoying seeing this beautiful state on Yelp. I've seen enough of it by car! Next time I'll fly.

There's only 100 of these futuro homes in the world! Originally designed to be a ski chalet. Wish that it wasn't vandalized. The orange color is a little faded and worn but the structure was all there. The little door was opened but we didn't climb in. What a fun little adventure in the area!

This was probably a perfect race for the yelp running club to start off with. The race itself was…read morewell organized and well it should be it's been going on now for nine years. The race was organized by the junior league of lake highlands. I was happy with the price options at this race. They did well by starting the fun run people well ahead of the 5k start. The carnival was great and they had tons of food, water, chick fil a, and un sweet tea from enchiladas. They had a cross fit tent out there at the carnival but I'm not sure if Scott L had a chance to check it out and meet the people. The race itself had over two hundred participants. I think we all did fairly well except Cat might have had an issue with timing. I'm thinking it might be from her trying to eat before the race and getting sick. The race results were posted very quickly after we were done and I was pleased with how it all went down. I hope this is one of many races we might end up doing in the future. I will tell you that immigration was unable to keep up with me today! Great fun and I'm glad we had a solid turnout. Thanks, to all that showed up and this was a great start to whatever goal it is you're trying to achieve.

Anyone who has considered or moved from out of state to north Texas knows about Frisco. This type of growth has to be well managed and a cooperative effort between local and state governments. I dont think youll here many complaints from the residents of Frisco: Nice people Good schools well built infrastructure excellent city planning too much shopping too many restaurants Dallas Cowboys etc, etc

Frisco is a very far distant north suburb of Dallas which is peaceful and affluent and has a high majority of caucasians living in the area. Lots of expensive new housing and sort of like a Suburban Paradise for all of those who want to be very far away from all of the action and kind of have their own little world. It reminds me of the Woodlands north of Houston in a lot of ways, although I suppose it's not quite that far out and remote, but on the other hand the best way to get here is using a toll road so it does have a lot in common. The reason I don't give it 5 Stars - other than it being quite generic and Suburban - is that it has not as many food options, especially ethnic food options, and not that many bubble tea shops, unlike Carrollton and Plano who are its closest neighbours, and therefore the places that I'm most inclined to compare it to. Actually Barbie just insisted that I up it to 5 stars because of the shopping and weather here, so there you go. And she did look amazing here, for sure.
