What's poppin'? BoBaPoP!! So POP right in :-) I was pleasantly surprised to find out that BoBaPoP's mission was brought to life in my hometown, Maryland. And, did you'll know the French Bulldog logo honors the memory of the founder's cherished pet? Thank you BoBaPoP for bringing your love for bubble tea to Southern California and giving us Yelp Elites an opportunity to join in. Another thank you to Audrey for making this connection. I'm always on board for anything homemade as well as the use of fresh premium ingredients. BoBaPoP is where it's at! Calling all the BoBaholics out there!! You're in for a BoBaPoP Tea Treat. I loved the variety of drink options. The tea bar setting was clean and cozy. The service was stellar. The owner and staff were very polite and professional. Definitely a great boba tea spot that I look forward to returning to!!!

Located next to Mama Kats. Great customer service, they were super patient as I decided what to order. I went with the strawberry matching. You can get the sweetness different levels 70 or 100, I went with 100. It was very delicious. The matcha had me wired all night. The inside is cute modern & airy with lots of seating.

The vibes are vibin' at BoBaPoP! Came early on Wednesday to a beautiful minimal space. The Weeknd bumping, fresh tea brewing... just a relaxing and clean space. I was intrigued by the "flower" tea on the menu, which I learned is their speciality. It's a blend of green tea and camellia flower, which is similar to jasmine. My salted cheese flower tea with boba was excellent. Presentation is beautiful, and I like the open lid to enjoy the cream top. Looking forward to more trips here! Thank you Audrey + BoBaPoP!

So excited to see a tea shop open up right along the 78 fwy. Once I stepped inside I felt that relaxing ambiance where I can sit down and enjoy some delicious tea. Unfortunately, I was on the way back home so I took a couple items to go. The Matcha Latte was superb. Although I chose to have zero sugar, the rich matcha flavor along with the milk smoothed out the flavor where I didn't feel to the need to sweeten it. I do enjoy matcha tea by itself so if you're not into that then definitely sweeten it up a bit. The BobaPop Milk Tea was also really tasty and it didnt taste like those sugary powdered milk tea drinks that you get from some other local milk tea shops. The owner was very friendly and patient while I took some time to consider what to order. The plaza has ample parking and with the location being close off the freeway exit, I'll be sure to be back :)

BoBaPop is amazing! Open since March 2025. Friendly hostess and store owner who greeted customers upon entry. Interior space was open and inviting. Neutral colors and pleasant to the eye. There is enough table space to place your laptop to work and electrical outlets to charge devices. I am very happy to see a variety of teas choices from caffeinated, decaffeinated, creamy, fruit teas, and salted cheese. Loose leaf testers are available to enjoy the scent before you select your drink flavor. Teas are brewed fresh and are full of flavor. I tried the caffeinated Darling Milk Tea, 30% sugar, and half ice. Perfect consistency. The quality, quantity and texture of the boba and lychee jelly toppings were amazing. Not mushy and has the right amount of chewiness. Hands down best boba in North County SD.

Standing out from all the others and recently opened, this establishment offers refreshing flavors and options of Boba Tea, Milk Teas, and Coffees. At first glance my impression was the typical Baba shop with the popular option, but once inside the menu just blew my mind! Some of the great options were: "3Q Milk Tea" - Floral Black Milk Tea with 3 in-house toppings (black pearls boba, egg pudding, grass jelly). "Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea" - Japanese green tea with roasted popped brown rice. "Roasted Oolong Milk Tea" - Full bodied Taiwanese tea and full-bodied oolong. "Winter melon Green Milk Tea" - Green tea, syrup from winter melon extract and house non-dairy creamer. "Sea-salt Tie Guan Yin" - Premium Fujian green oolong tea infused with Osmanthus flowers from Phoenix Mountain. "Sunrise Tea" - Jasmine green tea combined with strawberry and passion fruit puree, and white crystal agar boba. "Lychee Green Tea" - Roasted Oolong tea with a Lychee garnish. "Marble Matcha Slush" - 100% organic young Japanese green tea leaves ground into a power and blended with in-house cream brûlée wrapped around. Kailene, Kerry, and Ken assisted me my selections and they were "spot on" with tastes! I selected the Marble Matcha Slush with boba and Lychee toppings; and a 3Q Milk Tea.The preparation was magic, and the first sip exploded in my mouth! The Marble Matcha was smooth, cold, creamy, and bursting with lychee and boba highlights among the subtle but delicious matcha slush. It was heavenly!Totally relaxing and clean environment, with comfortable seating. The previously mentioned staff were extreme customer service oriented, friendly, and eager to assist. Definitely a place to revisit when in the San Marcos area.

Thanks to BoBaPop I got to enjoy such a refreshing strawberry matcha on my lunch break! I actually didn't know this boba spot was here until this event, but glad that Audrey introduced this to yelp. They specialize in a great selection of freshly brewed teas/coffees all made to your liking and I appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness as well. The shop itself is clean and aesthetic and there were several spots to sit and relax while you sip away. Will definitely be back!

I am so excited that Bobapop Tea Bar has finally made its way to the West Coast -- and right here in San Marcos! After hearing rave reviews from friends on the East Coast, I had high expectations, and this location absolutely delivered. I tried the taro boba tea, and it was hands down one of the best I've had. Creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet -- plus the boba had that perfect chewy texture. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and take the time to get it right. The interior is clean, modern, and has a fun vibe, great for studying, catching up with friends, or just grabbing something to-go. The staff is friendly and helpful -- they walked me through the menu since it was my first visit, and their suggestions were on point. I also found out that the owner, Kenny, runs the Rancho Peñasquitos location too, and it's clear he takes pride in consistency and quality across his stores. Love supporting a local business that really cares. If you're a boba lover or just want a new favorite tea spot, Bobapop San Marcos is 100% worth a visit. Welcome to North County, Kenny -- we've been waiting!

BoBaPoP has the cutest logo! I got the BoBaPoP milk tea that came with boba. At 50% sweetness, it was still a little too sweet for me, but the boba was nicely chewy. The mango green tea has fruit chunks in it, which I love. Thanks, Yelp, for the event!

This place took over the previous mom/pop boba place in the MamaKats plaza. I love the open / clean / minimalist vibes! There is bench seating to the left with two cafe tables and a community table to the right. For the Yelp Elite offer, you get one large drink of your choice. My go-to lately for boba has been Oolong milk tea so I had to try it! I saw they had mini boba so had to get that, too. The tea flavor isn't too strong, and subtle at 0%. There are other tea options if you don't like milk tea. I love that they have the tea canisters on the counter, it helps so you can smell the tea! Thank you Yelp team and BobaPop bar for the yelp elite experience!

Thank you so much bobapop tea at San Marcos and Yelp for hosting this event! I tried their Thai green milk tea with boba 30% sugar with less ice and it was so refreshing and super delicious!! Boba was super chewy too! I will def come back to try diff drinks!

First, I'd like to start by thanking BoBaPoP Tea Bar, Yelp, and Audrey for this fantastic Yelp event!! I've never tried BoBaPoP before, but a while ago, I did briefly pop into their other location. But this is my first time actually trying something! Right off the bat, I want to take a moment to highlight the interior design of this space. It's gorgeous! Yes, it's a bit simple/minimal, but this is so aesthetic. I genuinely love designs like this. Plus, there are outlets under the table, and there's a giant table for larger groups. The seating is a bit limited, but it wasn't very crowded when I went, so that wasn't a problem at all. I can definitely see myself coming back for the immaculate study vibes here. Kenny kindly took my order at the counter; I got the Mango Cloud with white crystals. What a unique drink! My order came out pretty quickly, too. I was so excited to try it that I almost forgot to take a photo before my first sip. And once I did take that first sip, I was pleasantly satisfied. The fruit was so incredibly fresh that it tasted like drinking a straight-up mango. I also enjoyed the white crystals, which I've never gotten before. These are just agar pearls. And as someone who is not crazy about tapioca pearls, these were a great alternative! Parking was super easy, and this location is pretty convenient for those in San Marcos. I want to come back and try the Avomango next! Thank you so much to BoBaPoP for this opportunity to try your wonderful drinks--I will be back for more!

    Beauty of a money tree.

Bobapop Tea has been open for only 7 weeks, I'm thrilled that they are in this shopping center next to Mama Kat's restaurant in San Marcos. Very friendly and comfortable feel as I sit here sipping on my yummy Bobapop Milk Tea. I appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness of your drink 100% 50% or 30%. I went with 30% this time. The drink was yummy and nice to have after a hot day. The acoustics make the space a bit louder than I would prefer, which can be distracting if you're working or reading at times. Thanks for the visit and introduction to a new local place!

The business was located in a suite next door to a gelato shop, both of which were in this random industrial park. I wonder with its remote location, how much customer traffic it can generate from beyond the neighbors in this complex? Anyway, a bonus was that parking was super easy. Upon entering and checking in with the cashier to mark my name off the magic list, she informed me that each of us had a $15 credit to select anything off the menu. I really loved the flexibility of this offer as it opened up the possibilities. Normally, an Elite promotion is for one or two specified items. The offerings were obviously heavy on chicken, however I noticed some non-chicken grub like crispy shrimp, Filipino spaghetti, a veggie egg roll, and even Belgian waffles. My picks were the two middle entries out of the six in the Specialties section... Chicken & Waffles and Chicken Curry. They conveniently added up to $14.95. The first container had four mini waffles combined with around a dozen pieces of chicken nuggets. A self-service condiments station was available that provided ketchup and four different sauces with clearly marked signage of each name and flavor profile. I used the Golden Chicken Dip for the nuggets to add a sweet and smoky enhancement to the bits of white meat. The second bowl had white rice as a base with chicken, broccoli, and carrots in a curry sauce that was mild in heat and spices. Two slices of yellow pickled daikon (takuan) were included on the side. The mix made for a nice savory snack. Thank you to the owners and staff at Surf Up Chicken for introducing a group of Elites to your eatery. The combination of Asian fusion and Southern-style flavors was unique. Thanks also to Audrey and Yelp North County San Diego for identifying a new local, family-run business to host an Elite Week Event.

Ok, in for it anyway. Andy & Tanya met us inside, and we filled out the waivers. We waited around for our groups, and the Wall Guys got us set up with shoes. I recommend that if you are going to be doing a lot of climbing, invest in shoes. Rental shoes aren't the most comfortable, especially if you have flat feet like I do. We had a fun time getting warmed up on the kiddie/party wall. (Actually, quite a few of us did most of our climbing there, taking it easy.) We learned how to fall properly, and the basics of handholds and paths. We took a break to get some dinner from California Braise, who had Yelp specials for us. The upscale dining room was warm and inviting and it was fun to eat with a new group of friends. We shared mouthwatering appetizers. The brussel sprouts and beet spread were divine and I could not stop eating them. The well endowed charcuterie board boasted lovely mustards, cheeses, meats and hickory smoked nuts. The nuts overwhelmed my palette as I was not expecting the smoky flavor, so I dipped some of the cheese into fresh mustard which filled my mouth with yummy flavors. Jonas took care of our table with great finesse. It is so obvious that he loves his job and has the utmost confidence in the chef. His animated descriptions of the menu brought everything to life. I ordered gnocci with a poached egg on top. The chef did an outstanding job plating everything with an artistic flair. I love a perfectly poached egg, as the yolk burst open the golden fluid encapsulated the savory gnocci. A constant stream of delicious food and wine filled my belly and put a giant grin on my face. Before dessert time came around and I thought that there was no room left, however seeing the delicacies up close changed my mind. I really liked the cheesecake with kumquat glaze that provided a nice contrast to the undertone of the silken cheese. It was not too sweet which is my preference. As the evening wound up the group at table 19 asked for a tour. Jonas started the tour in a gorgeous private dining room with ninja electronics suitable for a Google tech meeting. Somehow, I was really full but I couldn't stop myself from licking my plate clean? What is this phenomenon? Gorging myself so much that I'm in a food coma? That's unheard of! The culinary team here at AVANT had the entire group of Yelpers wanting to come back for more! From the aesthetically-pleasing and palate-arousing charcuterie board to the irresistible Laura Chenel cheesecake, AVANT most definitely surpassed my expectations! Even the service was impeccable! Braun, our server, was particularly charming and was extremely attentive! As I am on my phone, actively Yelping my experience, Braun sneaks around me like a ninja and refills my drink! I look up and my glass is full and I wonder how he did it without me noticing! Although we were here for the food, the decor and size of the restaurant, too, surpassed my expectations! The beautifully decorated dining room and private rooms gave me a glimpse of what my old country club looked like but with a modern twist! It was beautifully decorated and the fireplace near the front entrance was most stunning as the sun set behind it. Seth, the manager, gave us a tour and it ended at the outdoor patio area where people can choose to spend a nice day! My fiance, Drew L., and I decided that the cheesecake alone was worth coming back for and that we have a new anniversary restaurant where we can share a beautiful and romantic dinner to celebrate! We now have another reason for moving to RB when we get married! Thank you Trish, Andy, and AVANT for this glamorous event! AVANT- I can't wait to come back for your mustard!

My friend and I went together and it was soo much fun being able to try brands I had never heard of as well as new flavors from brands I did know. My favorite was the Casa Azul which uses tequila and was actually one of the last brands I tried. They also taught me that most other seltzer brands use malt liquor which can upset your stomach and give you a worse hangover. This makes sense why seltzers are one of the only drinks that give me a hangover. All in all, it was a lot of fun! My friend and I arrived right when the second timeslot started and a lot of the brands had already run out of the shirts and koozees and whatnot that they brought to hand out. It's a bit unfair and they should either order more things or disperse equally between the morning and afternoon timeslot.

There was hardly a line when we arrived for our 11:30-2 block and we were IDed, scanned, and wrist banded very quickly. I liked that upon walking into the venue, we were able to pick up some clear bags courtesy of buzzballs, sunglasses, and water. Our tasting cups also had a helpful card to know what vendors were there. Overall, it was fairly small with about 20 or so booths. Our favorite was probably the Mucho Aloha Lemonade. Thanks to Hannah and Yelp for hooking us up!

This was a really fun event with great food & great people!…read more I arrived a bit early to find that some of my elite friends had made it off the waitlist same day and were already there! The staff greeted us happily. The space is big and open. We were all seated at tables of 4 which worked out great. Some of the banchan (small Korean sides) had already been placed on the table and they continued to bring more. They turned on the grill and took our order for a soju drink (watermelon, passion fruit or strawberry) I wasn't planning on having one because I don't usually like soju but the passion fruit was good. They then delivered the thinly sliced meat, beef belly, bulgolgi and brisket. One of our group had never had Korean bbq so it was fun as our table talked her through it. Her delight at it all was infectious. We grilled our meat and shared everything. We ordered more sides like ramen, tofu stew, pot stickers, corn cheese, kimchi pancakes, steamed egg and sweet potato. We ordered spicy pork bulgolgi and spicy pork belly. Everything was so good and we were stuffed! We knew the elites at the tables on both sides of us and it was fun chatting and laughing with them too. We were even passing meat and sides that we/they couldn't finish back and forth. I think pretty much everything got eaten and we were all so full! This was such a great event! I look forward to returning soon. Thank you 2n1 Korean bbq, Audrey, Caitlin, Yelp! And my fellow elites for making it such enjoyable night!

I hope that they will continue to bring amazing International groups here to Escondido! Tonight proved to be full of fun and laughter as us Yelpers ate good food, drank good beer, and took lots of photos at the photo booth (by lots, I mean... a lot)! I have visited SD's…read morefirst Matcha Cafe Maiko location in Kearny Mesa and was aware of the newest shop in Mira Mesa, but I did not realize until I signed up that the business had a presence in Escondido. The suite was in the Plaza Las Palmas which was very busy when I arrived during lunchtime. The inside had a limited seating capacity with fewer tables than the Kearny Mesa spot. For this weeklong promotion, the complimentary offer was a latte drink of choice with a free topping or a soft serve of choice served in a waffle cone or a cup. There were four flavors and two swirls for the soft serve. I asked for the Ube and Vanilla swirl in a cup. Initially, the worker was going to place the product in a standard serving cup. When I told her that I was going to be driving, she changed the cup to a deeper one that normally holds a small size drink. Not only did that make sense, but it was going to be much more convenient for me on the drive back home. As for the frozen treat, the menu photo depicted the ube as a shade of midnight blue. What I received was a more traditional lavender hue. The ube flavor wasn't as strong as I had hoped. The texture of the soft serve was reasonably creamy and didn't melt quickly while I was consuming it in my vehicle. Thank you to the owners of Matcha Cafe Maiko for hosting a Community Experience simultaneously at the Escondido and Mira Mesa locations. Indulging in your soft serve ice cream during this summer heat was certainly a pleasure. Thanks also to Audrey and Yelp North County San Diego for organizing the logistics of this Treat O'Clock experience.
