Yelp's Brew-venture at Belching Beaver was one of the better ways to kick off the spring! First things first, the venue was amazing with tons of seating to accommodate the crowds! An open floor set up with plenty of tables and open seating proved one of the better lay-outs and gave tons of space for Yelpers to meet and greet. What surprised me the most was the kind service as this was my first Brew-venture and I was very pleased with the way the staff, bartenders and Yelp management were so on top of their game! This is what I would say a great introduction to 2018 YES events and the beer kept flowing! Two beers of your choice from Belching Beaver's tap room, a mug and great conversation! Count me in! A generous $10 tip was counted at the door but realistically this deal could've been beat. The store itself served food and offered a truck outside to allow multiple vendors. I truly enjoyed the outdoor seating with several well lit fires to keep the cold out. The decor added to the rustic feel of the warehouse. Can't wait for more! Thank you Danny and Trish for another great Yelp Event!

Brewventure #2! Though I've tried Belching Beaver's beer before at other locations, I hadn't visited the brewery, so props to Yelp for getting me to finally make it out to their place. With plenty of sun left to set, I arrived to a full house and a line stretching around the space. The inside was a tad bit small for the growing crowd, but the outdoor patio was sprawling with tables, chairs, and string lights, which made for a loungy, cool atmosphere, along with the live acoustic entertainment. Benches made for friendly Yelp mingling and day drinking chats. As for the beer, a couple of familiar brews were worth trying again: Beaver's Milk, Peanut Butter Milk Stout, Passion of the Weiss. The names catch the eye. Really appreciate the keepsake pint glass with the Beaver logo. For the hungry, Mexican City Cuisine Food Truck was on site again serving up their 2 lb. burritos and other popular fare. Though I didn't order anything this time, I can vouch that their food deals were generous. Thank you Belching Beaver. Trish & Bill, another successful event. Looking forward to the next!

My first YELP Event and Brewventure! But not my first time at Belching Beaver. I must say Trish and all the other Yelp staff members were super friendly and very informative about the event. They have set a great atmosphere for us yelpers to enjoy. Atmosphere: The same relaxed belching beaver with a touch of yelpness for this event. Great vibe! friendly faces! If you entered from the garage side there was tent from Mexico City serving up some delicious mexican food. Also there was an awesome DJ present playing all kinds of jams from different era's. My fiancee' and I were looking where to check-in for the event; which was located towards the main entrance of the brewery. We checked in and received some cool yelp merchandise; sunglasses, a beer glass cup, a bell for your bike, a wrist sweat band. Free stuff always a +! Food: If you were fortunate to have a yelp wrist band, all food from Mexico city menu was only $5! If not it was regular menu price. Everything on the menu was one of the best I've tried for mexican taco shop food. Their supreme nachos left you wanting more. Their street tacos are on par with tacos el gordo. Top notch quality! Beer: I've practically had everything off their beer tap here at Belching beaver from prior visits. But noticed they had a couple sours on their tap board (i'm a sour beer fan) and also towards an hour in during the event, one of the associates tapped open a beer on cask. -sour pugs: 3.9%(refreshing crisp light taste with a nice tart bite that's not too strong) -raspberry/ blackberry tart 4.3% (a little more sweeter than the sour pugs also with a tart finish) -hop highway ipa blanc hops on cask 7.3%(dank smell. taste like oranges a smooth finish. a great beer for the summer) Thanks for the awesome belching beaver beer glass! Service: Although it seemed like the line was long for beer, the staff was able to accomodate and get beers out fast. Friendly service! Overall: 5 stars for everything here. Yelp, music, food, & beer. A great combination that Trish and yelp staff have brought together for us yelpers. We had a great time and 1st experience at a yelp event. Can't wait to attend the next Yelp event! Cheers!

WOW round 2 did not disappoint. Great service ! Thank you Karye , Brittney and Sigrid for pouring the perfect beers all night : ) , I am no stranger to Belching Beaver but this night was special due to all the new faces of the Yelp crowd. The DJ Wes was on Point spinning the tunes inside and keeping the people grooving. The live music outside was a perfect touch and a nice addition I did not catch his name, spoke briefly, but cool fellow . Mexico City Cuisine was killing it again serving the best Mexican food this side of the boarder Thank you Leo. Trish , Andy and Chang were hosting this event like pros and I look forward to working with them on Round #3. Thanks everyone for coming out and yey all 5 star reviews ..Remember its all about the Beaver!!!

Fireside beer, perfect night to relax outside with a mango IPA.

Another great installment of the long running north county yelp elite brewventure series! This latest event took us to belching beaver's original location deep in the industrial area of the carlsbad/vista/San Marcos intersection to celebrate their newly expanded brew space and the launch of their new kitchen! Did you know BB now has FIVE locations?!This was my first opportunity to see where it all began, as I've mainly frequented their downtown vista spot; easily my favorite brewery/restaurant in the area. The always welcoming and friendly yelp crew greeted us as we entered the brewery; we checked in, caught up with Danny and his new assistant Trish, got our first beers (hop highway and their honey ale), and found a seat at some raised tables with some fries already hanging out waiting to be enjoyed. We later made our way outside to their enclosed patio, complete with cozy wooden lounge chairs and gas fireplaces - there is a clear camping theme feel to this spot, with tents, lanterns, and other camping gear decorated throughout. The patio seating on a cool night with a warm fire and cold mango IPA was a perfect way to end a crazy work day. We ended up buying some more grub to enjoy - pretzel, poutine tots, and fish and chips. Really good all around, they have definitely nailed the pub food to go with their amazing beers. Another victory for Danny and the brewventure continues!

I'm going to be the first to review lol. This is a really great event. I got Carne asada Nachos from Mexico City Cuisine and they are really yummy, I'm glad they don't have that artificial cheese sauce on them. It was cool that everything on the menu is $5. I got the peanut butter stout (which is a milk stout with peanut butter in it). It was yummy as usual. I also got the berry tart, I like how citrusy it is, it's nice. The free Yelp swag was cool! I got an armband, fan, a Yelp glass and a belching Beaver pint glass and an external battery that is usually for just elites. Just a suggestion it'd be cool if the external batteries were charged to 50 percent in the box so we could use them right away. I hope I get to be elite someday (the events look so cool)! Thanks Trish, Bill, Andy, and Chang for a great event! The outside area here is cool. I only got to see the guy playing guitar for a second though. I got to see the DJ inside. Lol, I got another plate of Nachos because Karen was full. I'm not sure whether I'll finish half a plate of the nachos, since I've already had a plate of them. I'll have to try other things from Mexico City Cuisine at some point. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to Brewventure #3!

    Yes. It is.

It's all about the Beaver! I brought four friends here (all Yelpers but non-Elites) for Part 2 of Yelp's "Brewventure" tour of North County's awesome set of breweries. Last time it was Latitude 33 and it did not disappoint. Both places are literally 2 minutes from our house, yet we've never been here. What am I doing with my life. We were entitled to two pints for $10 AND we got to keep the pint glass. Mexico City Cuisine was there with food for $5 and it was fantastic! We all got food and beer and listened to the guy on the guitar outside. There were two tables inside with Yelp schwag but all the cool schwag was gone by the time we got there (6:05). I think some non-Yelpers were helping themselves! It was a good time and I cannot wait for the next one!

Oops, looks like I checked into the original posted event, but Yay for Brewventures! I really enjoy these events and I was glad to be a part of another excellent one. I never made it here before they renovated and expanded, but I thought the space was great! I loved the living wall and koi below and the stick/vine wall! There are tons of tables and a dog friendly patio area with lots of seating too! I appreciated the many bathrooms they had so I never had to wait. The staff was super friendly and helpful and guided me towards a delicious bacon chicken philly. Did I mention they have a full kitchen with many yummy things to choose from on the menu. We were treated to several baskets of appetizers and I thought the fries were great (we arrived a little late and most of the baskets were empty, but my husband said the wings were really good). And of course I enjoyed the beer especially Here Comes Mango IPA. Thank you to Danny and Bill and Trish and to Belching Beaver for making the first Brewventure of the year fantastic!

Open bar, man! The tent in the back is Mexico City Food Truck's setup. They were even nice enough to bring it out to our table on the patio!

Events don't make themselves and without Trish behind the helm we'd be in grave danger of lackluster experiences. Thankfully, our awesome Trishness keeps pumping out fun and unique events that are undeniably AWESOMESAUCE! WHAT DREW US IN: Ummm.... $10 for 2 beers, plus take the Belching Beaver pint glasses home? YES PLEASE! The price definitely caught my eye, and I've been waiting for an opportunity to attent a North County Yelp Event since the ones further south are often too much of a stretch after a long day at the office. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Andy C. was there to greet us at the entrance with smiles and [hell yeah] a fabulous yelp bicycle bell around his wrist. The ladies at the table were super friendly, and got us checked in quickly and offered us Yelp pint glasses - SCORE! Fun surprise :) THE BREWS: Belching Beaver beer doesn't usually cater to my palate. I'm not into sweet, dark or Belgian beers for the most part. I fell in love with the pina colada IPA, and even ended up taking home a growler of it. Unique and refreshing! MEXICO CITY CUISINE FOOD TRUCK: Along with the killer beer deals, thanks to Yelp we also were able to order anything off of the menu for $5 (reg. prices ~$7-10). This Mexican restaurant on wheels is at Belching Beaver every Wednesday! The fajitas were so delicious, and they were big enough to split. I had the pork and Wayne had the steak - both were equally tasty in my opinion, and worth the $10 regular menu price. A HUGE thank you to Trish for a fun and casual event, and for the last-minute accommodations! Lindsey & Wayne

Gotta say thanks to Trish and Bill for a great event! This was my first Yelp event, and couldn't have asked for a better deal. I didn't expect to get anything outside of the special Belching Beaver pint glass, but ended up with Yelp branded sunglasses, earbuds, wristband, a bicycle bell, a fan, and even a Yelp pint glass! There were two forms of entertainment, not counting the tv. Outside on the patio was a one man band, singing and playing his guitar. Inside was a DJ doing his thing. The yelpers special was 2 pints of your choice for $10 and you got to keep the glass! I had the Me So Honey (hard to order with a straight face!) and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Mexico City Cuisine was there to cater the whole thing with an awesome $5 anything on the menu deal. An unexpected bonus of the evening was getting to reconnect with a classmate that moved to a different school! Looking forward to the next Brewventure!

    Such a great venue!

This was such a fun event, and trivia night was a huge bonus! Great people, and a great time was had by all! Full Metal Burgers did not disappoint, the veggie burger was delicious and I'm not even a vegetarian

The business was located in a suite next door to a gelato shop, both of which were in this random industrial park. I wonder with its remote location, how much customer traffic it can generate from beyond the neighbors in this complex? Anyway, a bonus was that parking was super easy. Upon entering and checking in with the cashier to mark my name off the magic list, she informed me that each of us had a $15 credit to select anything off the menu. I really loved the flexibility of this offer as it opened up the possibilities. Normally, an Elite promotion is for one or two specified items. The offerings were obviously heavy on chicken, however I noticed some non-chicken grub like crispy shrimp, Filipino spaghetti, a veggie egg roll, and even Belgian waffles. My picks were the two middle entries out of the six in the Specialties section... Chicken & Waffles and Chicken Curry. They conveniently added up to $14.95. The first container had four mini waffles combined with around a dozen pieces of chicken nuggets. A self-service condiments station was available that provided ketchup and four different sauces with clearly marked signage of each name and flavor profile. I used the Golden Chicken Dip for the nuggets to add a sweet and smoky enhancement to the bits of white meat. The second bowl had white rice as a base with chicken, broccoli, and carrots in a curry sauce that was mild in heat and spices. Two slices of yellow pickled daikon (takuan) were included on the side. The mix made for a nice savory snack. Thank you to the owners and staff at Surf Up Chicken for introducing a group of Elites to your eatery. The combination of Asian fusion and Southern-style flavors was unique. Thanks also to Audrey and Yelp North County San Diego for identifying a new local, family-run business to host an Elite Week Event.

Ok, in for it anyway. Andy & Tanya met us inside, and we filled out the waivers. We waited around for our groups, and the Wall Guys got us set up with shoes. I recommend that if you are going to be doing a lot of climbing, invest in shoes. Rental shoes aren't the most comfortable, especially if you have flat feet like I do. We had a fun time getting warmed up on the kiddie/party wall. (Actually, quite a few of us did most of our climbing there, taking it easy.) We learned how to fall properly, and the basics of handholds and paths. We took a break to get some dinner from California Braise, who had Yelp specials for us. My braised pork BBQ sandwich combo was delicious, and big enough to take some home for later. I was also happy to see that they had the newly bottled Batch Shirley Temple soda, a favorite of mine! We had fun watching the regulars doing the extreme climbs, and the gym changes the hold paths every few weeks, to keep everyone from getting too comfortable with their routine. They also host competitions for skilled climbers. Thanks to Andy & Tanya, the Wall, and California Braise for an awesome evening. It was fun meeting some new Yelp friends, and seeing some old ones!

It was a pleasant surprise to receive Yelp swag. Most of all, I loved my complimentary mahalo mango smoothie! I, of course, paid to boost it up with immunity (helps support my immune system) and multi-vitamin (delivers 25% of the recommended daily dose for optimal health) since I'm on the wellness tip. I had a positive experience overall. So whenever ya'll Yelp Elites are in the San Marcos area, please stop by Robeks for a healthy treat to boost yourself up...your body will thank you :-)

We were accompined with our YelpFam, Karen N, Jen G, Shalayna. Also met Jason, Jessica and Emmett. Meeting these ppl made this event made a 5 star. Never been to this place, it was very hot n dry day. Thankfully there were beer station at Salon, the beer garden. My favorite is Bad to the bone, the pulled pork is awesome and sausage was even better. The sample size was very generous, and I spent all my tokens trying Pulled pork and Sausage. Only one section accepts tokens all others take only cash. Live music was playing while we sip and bite. Looking forward for the next year event. Thanks again Karen N for taking me as your +1

I came with a friend to check out this BBQ event. I had never been up to Vista before, let alone…read morethe Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum. The weather was beautiful as a relatively mild breeze kept the temperature in the low-80s. I was so afraid that it was going to be well into the 90s with a scorching sun. We ended up parking in a satellite parking lot down the road which cost $5 instead of $10 in the main parking area. They used a tractor to haul a platform wagon with benches to shuttle us over to the event grounds and back. I loved the fact that the setup was dog friendly so we had a leashed pup with us. After getting our poker-like chips/tokens at the ticket tent, we wandered around the property and checked out the antique exhibits in the barns and warehouses. There were lots of neat, old fashioned vehicles and machines from the early 20th century on display. We then passed by the Tin Roof stage where various competitions were being held (e.g. Miss Q country style beauty contest, watermelon eating, best denim butt contest, etc). Back we went to the row of tents where about 10 vendors were selling their food for 1-4 chips each. To my surprise, the area was not at all crowded, and the lines were quite reasonable. I was under the impression there would be more booths than this, but apparently many teams were present only for the BBQ judging competition and not for selling their meats to the public. :( Of the different items we tried, a few spots stood out... 1) Bacon wrapped meatballs and bacon lollipops from Butler's Barbecue: These were each sold at 2 for 1 token. I wished more vendors had deals like this. The small bites were perfect snacks to get the appetite going for the larger servings. 2) Pulled pork and sausage from Jolley's Bad to the Bone Barbeque: The portion sizes were very generous for just one chip each. The pork was pulled thicker than what I was accustomed to, but the meat was moist and seasoned well. The sausage came as two links that were spiced nicely. 3) Bread pudding from a tent that hung a U of GA flag (no name posted): This was a nice sweet treat to contrast all the salted meat we were ingesting. The crust had a nice caramelization to it. Thank goodness I had heeded Jen G's advice and brought a stash of Ziploc sandwich bags. We had more tokens left than what we could eat on-site so the two of us began redeeming chips and placing the food in the bags to take home as leftovers for a future meal. Initially, we were worried that we would go through our allotment quickly because many items cost more than one chip each. Bringing our own bottles of water along with a picnic blanket to sit under the shade helped us stay cool and relaxed during the afternoon. The lengthy drive to Vista was worth the unique experience. It's always great to meet up with fellow Elite Yelpers at such events. Last but not least, the dog ended up very well fed from the BBQ, probably even more so than the both of us. :)

I'm familiar with this area. Businesses share the parking lot with a gym, pharmacy and grocery store nearby. So plenty of parking. Nice spot for some delicious coffee and a bite! Ella was the barista that took my order. She also shared some info on the business and which coffee was use for my special latte. My Silly Old Bear Latte was just a tad strong, mostly smooth and perfectly blended with honey and cinnamon. And what a cute design on top, don't you agree?! The Molasses cookie was heavenly! I thought I had found the perfect Molasses cookie elsewhere and thought after biting into this one here I have another place to get a good cookie! I inquired about the cookie and it's from the place I found the perfect molasses cookie prior to visiting here. Praeger Bakery! My mouth is watering just typing about it! The Wake & Bacon breakfast sandwich simply scrumptious. Who doesn't like smoked apple bacon?! I was informed that Mike the owner is the artist of the art on the walls. Place is roomy enough. A lot of seating and maybe not. Just depends how busy it can be. Thank you Dreamwave team and for a yummy place to visit. I'll be back for sure
