After signing the contract and paying in full for replacement of most of the windows on our house…read moreon Thanksgiving-eve 2020 (nearly 20 months ago), our project has still not been completed. There was an incredible lack of communication, turnover of key staff without communicating to us, and delays/rescheduling beyond belief. When initial installation began September 2021 (10 months after contract signed and paid), the crew did not finish the job and was called away to work on another job. Additionally, there were several damaged windows, screens and wrong color caulk used. I received not one call, email or text message for several days letting me know how/when to expect job to be finished. It was only after me contacting them several times that I heard from someone. While some of the repairs and install were completed a few weeks later, the job/repairs were not finished. Again, after several calls/emails on my part, they stated they needed to re-order some of the damaged windows, caulk and screens. That was October 2021. What was supposed to be the final installation/repairs did not occur until April 26, 2022.Between October 2021 and April 2022 there was another turnover of staff that was not communicated to us. I repeatedly called and left messages and emailed the person who was supposedly in charge of my account with not one response. It took until March to receive a call providing status of my project from someone else. When they came to do the final installation on April 26, they did not have all of the replacement windows, screens and caulk they needed to complete the project. They said they would put a rush on it and get back to me shortly. I repeatedly called my new contact person, leaving messages without any response. I have subsequently learned that that person is no longer with Abby. A staff person then told me they would have the project manager call me - that was mid-June and I have still not heard from that person. Abby's catchphrase is "If someone asks you if you know a guy in the business, you say, "No, but I know a girl!"" I titled my review "I still do not know a girl in the business." At least eight times over the past 20 months I tried to contact Abby directly, but was steered to someone else every time. Even with all of the problems I have experienced, I have not heard a peep from Abby herself. Therefore, I can honestly say I still do not know a girl in the business. Based on our experience I would not recommend Abby for any home project.

I made that very clear to the scheduler. The scheduler confirmed that that could be done. I subsequently received an email confirming the appointment. I replied, repeating my insistence that I simply wanted the repair made in a single visit without a separate visit from an estimator. Sure enough, an estimator arrived 20 minutes late without any equipment. He was downright rude when I complained, saying "no one does business that way." I told him that Guardian was put on notice at least twice that I was not interested in a two step process. I would not have bothered taking time off from work had they simply told me they required a two step process. At my request, the manager called me, and I explained the situation. She was pleasant on the phone and said that she would she she could find someone in the organization to address the issue. I forwarded the earlier email for her records. She promptly acknowledged receipt. That was all two weeks ago. I never heard from her again. She did not respond to three follow-up emails of increasing urgency. The repair still have not been made, and I am back to square one. I DID receive a robotext asking me to rate my experience. (eyeroll). Stay away from these people. They are arrogant and beyond worthless unless you have a major project, and even then you have to worry about how they respond to a problem. Dear Guardian: am sorry I am not worth your precious time. It will not happen again.

Have had a LOT of communication with Guardian over the past few years. They did a sealant on our…read moreroof, but due to the age of the roof that plan did not hold up - they did explain to us that we really should have a new roof, which we agreed with and they subsequently gave us a credit off of the original quote. Workers were very diligent and hard-working. The project managers had to deal with extra problems that were uncovered when the old roof was taken off - many layers and uneven spots, for which we did pay extra. Our problem is with the follow up. While our manager/site boss - not exactly sure what his title is -was communicative during the process and did come back to follow up with some debris that was left in the gutter, etc. we told him that our large front bush got damaged. He assured us that they have a company that they work with, and that he would have them get in touch with us. That was three months ago, and I have sent him five texts, none of which were answered. While the roof itself seems fine, the lack of follow-up communication does not bode well for potential future problems.
