When I declined to continue with a project with Brandon, the company inflated charges to consume the majority of the deposit that I paid them. No physical work was ever performed yet they charged $175 per hour in labor for sending one email to my insurance carrier asking why Xactimate charges were not accepted. They then charged $125 for two Xactimate reports: along with the labor to produce the reports. Very unethical. The owner Darryl stated that they are not in the business of assisting clients in getting work done elsewhere and proceeded to do with my deposit whatever he saw fit for his pockets. I would advise not to use ths company, but if you do.... DO NOT PAY DEPOSIT BY CHECK! They will tell you that to use a credit card the fee is a high percent however, I found, that they do this to keep your deposit because if you pay by check you will have no ally with the bank to dispute funds as you would with a credit card. I would have paid a set fee for an Xactimate with any other company from $60 - $100 with no hourly rate attached. They literally assumed my deposit by charging me for two reports and labor of $175 per hour, which they say was over 3 hours to generate the report.... I guess the paper for the report is $125 and the labor is $175 per hour forover 3 hours for a 3 page report. So unethical. Very bad business practices. The contract states the deposit is refundable if services are not rendered but that is false. I understand taking a flat fee for Xactimates but Darryl went overboard to assume as much of the deposit as possible... Please do your homework on multiple companies... I would not recommend Unique Builders.

What I love most is not everything went as planned but any issues and concerns were addressed and corrected. The carpet in our son's room was stained. The plastic tore and construction dust and feet stained it. Scott had it cleaned and it didn't come up so they had it replaced. No arguments from them. They are not the cheapest, but they justify their price with their work. My wife and I are extremely happy with Unique and will use them again if we have any other home remodeling needs.

All of the work done was excellent and it was finished in a very timely manner with great communication throughout. They even went above and beyond and repainted my back door while painting the siding and fascia, which was something I had been meaning to do myself for a long time. We used AHR Roofing to do a completely new TPO roof replacement for a standalone building for our…read morebusiness. The owner, Alex, was very responsive at first. When the roof was completed, I did a walk through of the TPO material and asked why some major parts felt loose and was told him and his team that the adhesive would adhere later. It just needed some time. It never did. We also used the team he had subcontracted the work to, to install a new gutter. The nightmare really started a few months after the work had been completed. Heavy rain came and we noticed leaks in several spots inside our building above the breaker box and our kitchen hood vent and some spots closer to the front. Turns out his crew, which he subcontracted the work to, had not properly sealed some areas above our breaker box and didn't reattach the screws to our hood vent fan covers on the roof so they had their lids blown off from wind. Even the base of our units on the roof were missing ALL screws to keep them attached. Stay away from this company. Their work is on our business was incredibly bad, which caused further leaks after the fact and now they will not show up for the promised 20 year warranty. Our TPO roof has gaps many areas and it is bubbling everywhere. We have made multiple requests other the months to the owner, Alex Herrera, but he always finds an excuse to say our gutter caused the issues from his shoddy work. We have had several independent contractors review the TPO roof AHR Roofing installed and they all said the it is bad workmanship which is causing our continued leaks and has nothing to do with our gutter. We have multiple text messages to show how Alex is avoiding to fix his roof work under warranty by trying to blame it on a gutter we installed by it using another company.

His team led by Pedro came and finished the job in an hour to fix a piece of our roof that was bent by high winds. Pedro was very friendly and explained why the roofing material had fallen off and showed me the old and new screws used to attach the metal roofing. They resealed the area with sealant and reattached metal roofing to cover the area with appropriate screws. Would recommend for any roofing needs!
