We started with aftercare…read moreenrollment after finding another facility wasn't prepared to handle our son's excessive energy after being pent up at school all day. This aftercare provides time for homework, but also offers them valuable mat time to get their energy out and learn valuable life lessons (centered around six core values). We transitioned to summer camp in our first year. Camp usually offers discounts for extended care if you commit to aftercare for the upcoming school year. They have weekly field trips to some very fun spots, including daily trips to a local park to expend their energy. Basic karate (Tang Soo Do) is incorporated into both aftercare and camp, and my son loved the introduction. After a year of hearing our son begging to join Tang Soo Do classes, we finally consented. NO REGRETS! He has been in classes for just slightly under a year and has shown such growth in confidence, respect, strength and self control. The prices are slightly steeper than some other camps or afterschool programs, but you truly get what you pay for here at USK. The staff is caring - it's truly a homegrown family, with much of the staff being former USK members themselves. If you're thinking about USK, don't overthink it; I guarantee you and your child will love this place. Oh, and in case you want a night away from the kids, USK also hosts PNOs (parents night out) for a very reasonable price (kids enjoy a movie, pizza and fun games while you have some "you" time).

Now 11 years later and seeing my three year old thrive in USK. I signed up for USK in March , my 3 three year old is showing promising changes. At first I just needed another activity to keep her busy and active. My daughter was the sassy talkative 3 year old who didn't have enough discipline and struggled with gross motor skills. In just four months my daughter has improved so much from being respectful , listening and staying focused to rocking the playground with ninja style confidence. Attending my first graduation for her belt ceremony was so special and beautiful to see the amount of change. I cannot thank USK enough for always helping with any concerns I may have they truly make you feel as a parent you're not alone. I really like how they offer a parents night out it's a fun event for the kids in a safe environment filled with games and pizza definitely helps us parents with some much needed "me" time. The owners David and Jill are so inspiring, the instructors Mr. and Mrs Elie are knowledgeable and caring they focus not only about physical training but mental training too they make it a fun relaxed environment that any kid of any age feels comfortable in. My daughter and I have made a great relationship with the staff and the families. My favorite experience is attending a class in which a title student teaches the class it's so rewarding to see all their hard work pay off it's almost like stepping into a Time Machine and seeing what your little will become in the future. I'm looking forward to being able to see my daughter grow and become apart of an amazing family. A special thank you to the Swat team for always displaying your heart and dedication And a shout out to Mr. Satija and Ms. Susskind my daughter absolutely loves it when one of you teach class.

The management team is always very polite and helpful. One of the main reasons I've stayed so long is their wide variety of classes -- yoga, BodyPump, Pilates, Zumba, HIIT, BodyCombat, and more. I used to LOVE the BodyPump and BodyCombat classes, especially with instructors Zoe and Cindy Lee -- they were incredible. So much energy, motivation, always correcting form and really engaging with the class. Truly my favorites. Unfortunately, after they left, I stopped attending those classes. I did try the new instructor, but the experience was very different -- loud in an uncomfortable way, lots of personal talk during class, and overall not the same professional atmosphere. There was also an awkward situation that made me feel unwelcome. I was filming myself and my friend briefly (as I sometimes do), making sure no one else was in the background. The instructor approached me in a way that felt unnecessarily confrontational, repeating the same comment about not filming, even after I had already stopped and put my phone away. After that, I felt uncomfortable returning to those classes and eventually stopped going altogether -- especially when I noticed the same energy during future visits. That said, the yoga classes are still excellent -- very strong instructor and great experience. The gym itself is well-equipped with modern machines, always clean, and offers great amenities: sauna, steam room, and a pool. Kids' programs are also a big plus -- my children have been taking swimming classes there for years (we've been coming here for about 6 years total), and they love it. When they were younger, we also attended "mommy & me" classes, which were wonderful -- lots of songs, playtime, and interaction. There's also a kids' playroom with staff, toys, and activities, as well as two playgrounds. They even have a daycare, and a small indoor play area available on weekends -- very family-friendly overall. Now, a couple of serious downsides. The building is quite old, and during rainy season the roof leaks -- I've seen water dripping in areas like the café and even the gym floor, with buckets placed underneath instead of fixing the issue. That's definitely concerning. Another important issue is the parking lot. There is an exposed metal rod sticking out where a parking stopper used to be, right near the front entrance by the windows. I personally had a scary experience with it -- it pressed into my car wheel, and I was lucky it didn't puncture the tire. I reported it and even left a review about it, but a year later it still hasn't been fixed. Please be very careful when parking in that area. Overall, it's a place with great potential, strong programs, and a family-friendly environment -- but also with some issues that really should be addressed.

I do wish they would mix up the class times once in a while because I've been going for about two years and schedule hasn't changed much so I end up doing the same classes each week. The instructor Jennifer is great. I love that she does different things each week so I don't get bored with it. The place is clean, large, good staff, nice pool. I like the E gym so you don't have to adjust weights as it remembers when you scan your bracelet. They have a lot of community/family based events.
