This is review is long over, I came to Denise in 2019, by a recommended friend, and boy she didn't disappoint me. I had been fighting custody of my daughter for at the time was 3 1/2 years. I told myself what the heck let me try and get legal help what's the worst that can happen. My daughter's grandmother was granted guardianship and it was practically impossible to get back (well it felt impossible) but Denise made sure that my experience was smooth and stress free. She got all my paperwork ready and answered all my questions anytime I emailed or called her. It was a high conflict case due to my child's father wanting me to end my domestic violence relationship and negative parenting claims on both parties end. Elite legal did not back down from the case! Before I found them I had lost in the first court appearance both physical and legal custody with no visitation. Attorney Robertson was able to get my 50/50 physical and legal custody back in ONE court appearance. Never go to child custody hearing without a lawyer! The judges treat you with less respect and don't allow you to articulate what you want to say in many words when you self represent. You will need them! Elite was very affordable. Where do I start? From the first meeting with Denise I knew we were in the right place. Denise was extremely knowledgeable and was so helpful in just the few mins we spent together in our consultation. I instantly felt she HAD US! We had what seemed like a slam dunk case to get custody of my stepson but we needed the right way to present it in court. My husband and I were seeking full custody and minimal visitation for mom due to some horrific things going on at moms house. Denise guided us and took us through one step at a time. We began we a supplemental declaration to add to what we already had and I feel this is what made all the difference. She advised us to push for a minors counsel for my then 11 yr old stepson. I had no idea this was a thing. Not knowing what may come of it we trusted her expertise completely. Denise and her staff helped us file and serve the two different supplementals. We received the info of our attorney about 2 weeks prior to our court date to be able to come up with a plan. Unfortunately (so we thought) the assigned attorney spent a lot of time with us but then the night before handed our case over to a colleague. This made us so anxious and scared. However, the attorney he put in his place was beyond exceptional. She made us feel like she already had a plan in place. When opposing party found out we obtained counsel, she did too. But kept continuing the case. Today, our assigned attorney put a stop to all the nonsense and truly wholeheartedly fought for us. Not only did we gain custody of my stepson, but because of the issues minors counsel raised regarding opposing parties home she only received visitation for 4 days a month and has to go through us for everything that involves my stepson. I have to thank Denise and all of her wonderful staff, they were patient with us and made us feel like a priority. The consultation is not free. I give it 2 starts because I was told case was going to filed and ready to sign in about 8 weeks or so and it took over 16 weeks. Reasons given to me: 1) my file was misplaced and later found "behind a desk" 2) then my file was accidentally "skipped/lost" when taken to court. This was very upsetting. Their prices are reasonable, but I would have appreciated blunt honesty. You have to ask the lawyer all of your questions during first consultation because you will not have much interaction with lawyer after that, the assistant answers all your questions after that. I have read the provided comments below regarding Denise being such a helpful positive assistance to their needs. I truly wish i could have experience the same. Denise, has been nothing but a headache for me. Sadly i was referred to her when my son's mother and I separated. This being my first time trying to file any case particularly this type, she gave me attitude when i questioned the process or certain scenarios, she would never except my calls nor returned voice mails. I worked more with her inexperience young help then with herself. She had me pay fee after fee but when i arrived at court they had a court date but never received the paperwork Denise said she would send. Second time to court the paperwork was received but was incomplete and had the wrong information causing me to go downstairs to file all new paperwork which WAS FREE and Denise charged me 500. After leaving i called Denise to once again be transferred to her assistants promising me a return phone call but never did. So long story short Denise to me was no help. Gentlemen, prior to this "assistance" please check with your local court to file Mediation or ANYTHING else related to Child Services yourself for free.
