If I could give Elite Metal Structures a 0 I absolutely would. Ordered a structure in October , come end of January we still had no date with regard to installment. The reason we were building the structure was to put my two horse trailers and my two pick ups under it so they didn't sit in the rain. Again, being that we ordered in October ,had not heard back from anybody in with regards to putting the building up, we move forward with canceling our order. We left a deposit of almost $3000 ,come to find out Elite Metal structures wasn't even the company that was putting the building up. It was complex steel buildings installation and sales. We have yet to get our deposit back nor will anybody from Elite Metal structures speak to me. What's even more crazy ? I was talking to a neighbor down the road ,they worked with Elite Metal structures as well. They too put down a deposit with EMS and they canceled because nobody was getting back to them with regard to setting the building up. They as well got taken for a deposit. We will be moving forward with legal action. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

Our 20 ft x 30 ft metal shed was assembled by Elite on Oct 9 after an eleven week wait. The assemblers apparently measured incorrectly the height horizontally, and to correct the matter they simply cut and butchered the bottom of the last horizontal panel. They also did not install properly one of the supports on the lean to causing the roof to be out of level. The entire job looks second rate and is unacceptable. After reviewing pictures Elite admitted they made a mistake, and promised to send out a team to correct. After five weeks of waiting, all we get are "crickets" from Elite. Because of warranty concerns, we cannot use the shed as we cannot insulate and wire for electricity until the problem is corrected. Very disappointed in Elite and cannot recommend this company to anyone. read more

Elite Carports was hired to construct my 30x40 building. They subcontracted the work out as well as the concrete. Had issues with the subcontractors destroying my yard. The yard was way too wet for them to drive on. They got stuck at least 3 times. I was at work when they showed up. I would have demanded they come back when the yard dried up and would have never let them drive on my new yard. They claimed they offered to carry the material to the site for an additional $500. I was not even at home when they showed up. And had I been home I would have never let them drive through my yard. Called Elite and they claimed it was between me and the subs, not their problem. Be careful when dealing with Nationwide Steel Structure. I hired them to do the work. They hired Elite Carports who in turn subcontracted all the work to other companies. Stay away from both of these companies. They are very shady. read more

We just had a garage installed by Elite this week, they finished Monday. We had several issues during the install. It took them more than a week to complete a 20 x 40 building due to lack of crew and supplies. Construction started nearly 7 weeks from the concrete pour date, I was told it would be 3-5 weeks and a 1 day build. Today I was cleaning up the mess and noticed little shards of metal all around the work site. I was promised they would sweep the area with a magnet when they were finished. We have 3 dogs and I'm afraid to let them in out in our yard without standing with them to keep them away from the garage. We're trying to contact the company now, wish me luck. read more

do not do business with this company! sub par installation and after they get their money the will not answer calls/texts/ emails on warranty work! Horrible workmanship and then will not stand behind the product. seems legal action is going to be the only way to get a response from them. read more

Terrible service don't bother to call them about repairs unless you have days to spend on the phone to get them to send someone out. The garage door's they installed are cheap made and started rusting within a month they also wouldn't open correctly and I couldn't get my Truck out of the garage for over three weeks. And when they finally sent someone out they didn't repair the door's or replace them. Poor customer service. Wish we would have never bought from them. If you do buy from them please get everything notarized and ask about what type of garage door's they are going to install because if not you will get the cheapest door's made. I was never told by the sales person that they were installing cheap garage door's we assumed they would be wind tolerant door's because of the fact we upgraded everything else. So now they are telling us we have to pay more for decent door's unreal. My personal opinion of Elite Carports is poor quality building's, door's etc. terrible service crew. Company very hard to get in touch with after you pay them for the garage Overall I highly don't recommend them from my experience with them! read more

Poor Quality Garage's, Very poor communication, rude customer service! Takes an act of Congress to get them to come out and do repairs. The garage door's started rusting and working less than 2 months after installing them, Couldn't get my GMC Truck out of the garage for over 3 weeks because they wouldn't send anyone out. Excuse was I was over 3 hours away. Yet they didn't mind taking my money to install the 2 car garage very strange. Located in Mt. Airy NC. In my personal opinion from experience I wouldn't buy anything from them! Once they get their money they have no use for you I spent day's trying to get them to come out and repair rusty, cheap garage door's so I could get my truck out and these garage door's are only a couple of months old and when the guy's came out they didn't fix them they wanted to spot paint over RUST! Beware of this Company located in Mount Airy NC they do poor quality work and don't stand behind their warranty they want to charge me extra to replace these cheap, rusty, defective door's unreal. Also as I was walking out of the garage I had the garage door open and it suddenly slammed down almost hitting me and this is after it was repaired 10/22/2024. When we first started communicating with this company things were going well... As soon as we had a quote and gave our deposit things ground to a halt... No returning our calls or emails... and when they did there was always an excuse why stuff wasn't progressing. We were supposed to have engineering plans within 6 weeks they said... but that never materialized and when we called back to find out what was going on we just got ghosted... Had to finally call the credit card company and get them to intervene and request a refund... Save yourself the trouble and deal with another company. read more

Horrible experience with this company. Please do not do business with them. The communication is poor, they do not get back to you in a timely manner. Most of the time when you call them they are at home or running personal errands. I live in Texas and I ordered a building from them. They are located in North Carolina. I needed their company to sign documents in person so that I could get funding for the building. They assured me they could do that and so I put a deposit down. Day before the date to sign I call them to make sure we are good to go and surprise they say that they won't be able to show up. So funding for the building is gone and they won't refund you me my deposit even after they assured me many times that they would show up and take care of it. Now I have to take the legal route to get my deposit back because they appear to be the type of company to take your money regardless. Just a bad experience and I'm furious because this could have been simple with a refund and now it's not. Please do not buy from this company. read more
