POOR customer service and horrible interaction with management. The technician that came out to my house was not very forthright with the pricing of the service. I agreed to a door replacement instead of repairs. After I put down a 50% deposit, which I felt was a lot for a deposit, I went online and found the EXACT same door that they were going to install for more than half the price of what they were going to charge. The same door the technician tried to sell me one off the books he claimed he had one in his garage. After I went and picked up the door I called the tech back and asked him how much to just replace the door and initially, he said "25something". I guess realized he shouldn't have said that so he says let me check with my supervisor and I'll call you back in 5 minutes. He did, and how his price was $350, which I agreed to and we talked about when he could come out and install the door. We agreed to the Saturday date that we had previously planned. Ge rhen informed me that he tried to cancel my deposit charge on my credit card but it would probably have to be tomorrow before that could happen. So I called the home office and got the supervisor and talked to him and explained the situation and asked IF the install could be taken out of the deposit charge. He tells me that instalation would be $450 and I told him what the tech told me and I would call back. Fast forward to Friday and I get a call from the home office about my service and young lady asked me if I wanted to talk to a supervisor after we didn't have the same price, I said yes and she said one would be contacting me. Later on, a supervisor called me being real authoritative and gruff with me like I worked for him. His FIRST mistake was telling me I was not told $350 then he said I was rude with the lady from the office and he kept being loud so I got louder and reminded him that I was the customer and he had my money for services NOT rendered at the present time. I can say with no doubt this was some BS, the tech knows he told me $350 and when I called him back again he claims he doesn't remember that knowing good and well WE NEVER said the number 450. Stand on your word and own it. Nothing worse than people that cannot admit when they are WRONG. I WILL NEVER call Elite for nothing EVER again and I have used them 3 times previously, but the way the tech handled it and the supervisor talked to me they can kick rocks, they aren't the only game in town. read more

Very polite and quick, but not very forthright about options AND i was charged a service fee on top of the cost of a new motor even tho I asked total cost up front. I was informed that replacement parts were not available due to age - not true as I found out I could replace for $50 instead of several hundred! He mentioned that I could save money by just paying them to install a Home Depot motor - but I did not have one. on hand!! When I called office to verify price of motor - they could not give me exact price as it was dependent on model - other than starting price was $200 less than I was quoted. Assistant was very busy looking around the items in garage. Will not use again and would make sure you argue about price if you use as you are likely to pay way more than needed. read more

My garage door broke when I least expected it. One day, I clicked the remote and it opened ricketedly. The next day, the garage wouldn't open at all. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the gear chain snapped and was dangling from my ceiling. I saw an ad for Elite Overhead Garage Doors in the Palmetto Trend and they offered several coupons. I called the company and the father / son team of Cosmin and Manasseh visited me that day. They carefully reviewed my options and told me how much it would cost. With the coupons, I received $200 off installation and the service fee was waived. They came out a few days later to install the garage door and remote system. They were very precise with the installation. Everything was carefully installed, from the track system on the ceiling to the new garage doors, from to the seal and seams around the garage door, and the remote control that opens and closes the doors. I was amazed that they devoted five hours to installation and made sure everything was working perfectly. It gives me peace of mind to have a garage door system that works properly and will last. Now I smile when my door opens and closes and I drive my car into the garage. I highly recommend Cosmin and Manasseh. They are skilled craftsmen and are friendly, polite and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done correctly. Two thumbs up! read more
