I had long thick hair, all the way down to the small of my back, and I wanted to cut it all off. I had been thinking about cutting it for over a year. I had reference photos of exactly what I wanted. I was hoping to get something similar or at least approximating. Chrissy spent 30 minutes examining the reference photos and video from all angles, examining the shape of my head thoroughly, and for the first time in my life, I had a stylist tell me exactly how they'd recreate what I want on my head, instead of suggesting something sort of like it. She explained to me small adjustments she'd have to make to get the same effect so it would look the way I wanted. After the cut, I got home and wanted to cry, because for the first time I left a salon looking EXACTLY how I pictured it in my head, and not sort of like what I wanted or some compromise. She is an artist. I've been in for numerous touch-ups and through my short hair journey, she has listened to me and the new ways I experiment with styling my hair, and the style continues to evolve. Earlier this week I went in for a touch up, and she wanted to really get it right so we sat down and looked at pictures online of what I wanted, and again, she accomplished it beautifully on my head. Upon entering the salon you're greeted with a relaxing but trendy atmosphere. The salon is home to two stylists but it's still very spacious for a small salon. I had my first appointment with Chrissy this morning and I am so happy with the way my hair looks! I'm a stylist as well and in the past I have gone to other stylists and not always been fully satisfied with the results. Needless to say I felt completely at ease as soon as I sat in Chrissy's chair. She understood exactly what I wanted to work towards and knew the things that needed to be corrected. I also fully applaud her ability to juggle several clients at once. She transitioned from client to client so well and made sure we were all taken care of. My service ended up being a color correction due to some work from a previous stylist that had to be fixed. She blended my color melt seamlessly and gave me a great starting point to go even lighter next time. Pricing is on point and worth every bit of it! I can confidently say that I'll most definitely be returning and Chrissy made sure to book my next appointment before I left.

The store set up is so cool it reminds me of Charleston, SC or Magazine St in New Orleans, LA. The ladies that work here are all smiles and happy to assist with any of your shopping needs! If you need a fresh set of highlights or a new cut, just make your way to the back and the salon is quaint and upbeat! Jessica, the owner, is the sweetest most attentive and laid back chick! I have spent over 20 years going to a corporate salon. I first went in out of more convenience. My fiance and I went in to get a tan. More on that in a second. After my first haircut I had more complements from family, friends, and complete strangers then I had in my previous 20 years. Now about the tan beds, if you ever have a free 15-20 minutes I would highly recommend treating yourself. The rates are reasonable for both, and very highly recommend to stop in. uppercuts will be my new go to place for both a great haircut, and a relaxing tan bed.

One of the…read moreemployees is running a scam where they illicit a beer trade with individuals and receive the beer, and then they do not return the agreed upon beers from their end of their agreement. I've been waiting over a year for $100 worth of beer and the employee responsible (Tiffany) proceeded to misrepresent the employer and business owner and proceeded to curse me out. I tried to contact the employer via Facebook and this individual proceeded to act as if she was the owner. Then, when I was able to discern that it was not the owner and confronted the individual she blocked me from the page. I just think that the owner should know what kind of employees she has and how they are willing to steal from others and lie and misrepresent the business.

And she does a great job on your hair. Sam is also another hairdresser there and is great as well. If your having a bad day, she will for sure have you laughing. I always feel fabulous after walking out of the salon. They both take the time to really hear what your main desire is for your hair and try to give tips or advice to help with achieving that goal.
