I got a perm here and at first I loved it, my hair was gorgeous I did show an inspo pic because I wanted curly hair but after about a week my "curls" fell and now it's just wavy. When I was looking at my hair for the first time after it was done I failed to realize that the lady gave me chemical burn. Everyone was super sweet the lady who assisted me was nice and we talked. On the drive home is when I realized I had chemical burn on many places on my scalp, on both of my ears, and even on my hair line. I am thinking about getting a re perm to have tighter curls but even tho the service and vibe was great I think I'd rather find a different salon. read more

I got sticker shock after getting haircut $45 are you kidding? Never again part my fault for not asking ahead of time but seriously. Rosa started by washing my hair when I said I just washed and didn't want to wash again because my hair is dry, then scratch me several times with finger nails while cutting my hair. I told her she was stabbing me and it hurt and she did not take me seriously just laughed. It was painful if you can't work with long store bought finger nails don't get them. She could of cared less about me just cut and get me out to collect her $. I don't her to cut my bags and I didn't want them in eyes at all and she left them too long. After a long quarantine I went ahead and made my appointment to get a nice perm for the summer. I wanted a loose perm something I could put gel in air dry something low maintenance easy to do I have a very active life style. I arrive at Paparazzi Ashley Fletcher was my stylist very nice lady proceeds to do my hair. She decides to do Spiral curl my last perm was a regular curl but she the professional I trust her. She proceeds to wrap I feel no tension as she is rolling and she is taking huge chunks of my hair but again she is the professional. The rollers are not getting rolled to the scalp tight I had a bit of perms so I know she's not doing this correctly but again maybe her technique is different I also before college did attend technical school for cosmetology so I do have some background but again she's the professional. Perm all wrapped and she puts on solution(chemical) I tell her I don't feel like the whole head is saturated she checks assures me it is. She did not and it was clear saturated every rod rather spray it all over the head in a messy fashion. Then solution was left on for 25 minutes or so no times was set unless she used her phone. It was now time to rinse you HAVE to rinse the chemical out at least 5 minutes that was not done it was like she was rushing through this whole process but the chemical needs to be washed out before neutralizer is to be put in and thoroughly. Neutralizer put in and than hair rinsed and I knew immediately something was wrong when she was combing through so I asked for my hair to be trimmed though I'd see curl after that she trimmed my hair. I go under the dryer to dry around this time my fiancé comes home for lunch I need to go so I go to pay she's cutting hair at her station and meets me at the register that will be $105.00 I leave a $10.00 tip honestly I wanted to cry I head home walk in the door my fiancé says I thought you had a hair appointment to get your hair done I'm like I just did he was like it's straight how much did you pay I tell him he's floored and he says you need to call the owners. I call the owners who where not even at the salon and told me to go back two hours later I did. I go back Ashley and another stylist are sitting outside Ashley smoking a cigarette the other stylist very nice actually heard me out clearly saw the perm did not take and Ashley as well was fully accountable saw the perm did not take and I respect that. I go in thinking the owner would be there to fix the situation talk about it to no avail the employees we left to deal with it totally unprofessional! I actually felt really bad for Ashley. I was refunded the $80.00 for the perm the hair cut as you can see from the photos was not even but I'll take that as a loss and honestly Ashley deserves the tip because with owner like this they leave the employee hanging not cool at all! I also got really got upset when another employee and I wish I got her name a short blonde lady came around the corner to offer her two cents and actually tried to blame me for my hair looking the way it did it could be many factors she rambles on could be medication your on she says are you serious???? She then tells me not to get upset or mad lady are you crazy? I have been getting perms for years!!! Lady I had perms when I had cytoxin therapy maybe this idiot did not see the chest port I had but I'm a survivor and I'm actually in the best shape of my life right now and even when I was at my sickest my hair certainly did not look like this. As this epic horrible experience comes to a end the story here on yelp before I was going to share this I called the salon this morning to talk to the owners and again they were not available. I am now left with a summer of hair treatments and and high maintenance options till this comes outs however long it will be I have contacted a hair specialty establishment and I assure you it will be a lot more than $80.00 to fix this mess basically it's a under processed perm that had huge sections taken that was used with rods that were too large that did not have enough chemical on it and you can clearly see where some chemical was and some was not and that it was not wrapped well at all basically there was no pride taken in the work and the result was shown on my head and I'm the one that now has to fix it and live with the shitty results! To the owners I will use the photos of where not to go from this point on! I tried to reach out to you but apparently to you giving a person a refund makes you feel better but imagine how the person feels that still needs to fix the mess. read more

Took my daughter to get her hair cut. Hailey did an amazing job, and my daughter loves her new look.

I found this place through Living Social. I purchased the deal and was able to get an appointment quickly. The stylist I had that day, Kristin, did not really listen to what I wanted. My hair ended up looking nothing like I wanted, but I was told to wait it out until I washed it. I did. And I ended up so upset with how it looked. I had called asking to have it fixed and Kristin would not fix it unless I paid the full amount. This was unacceptable to me considering I had been specific with what I wanted. I told her I would not be returning to her. She did not like it that I said I would not return to her and she decided to text message a stylist I usually saw. This upset the stylist and she told me she no longer wanted me as a client. That is another story, but I was surprised how Kristin acted. I ended up emailing the owner Bobbie and I am so happy I did. Bobbie had me come back in and fixed my hair leaving me with what I wanted exactly. I was so impressed with how she listened to me and gave me what I wanted. I left the place smiling. She turned a negative experience into a positive. I have gone to see Bobbie three more times since that and I have been happy every appointment. I have been really impressed with the salon. Bobbie is always friendly and fun. Steve is hilarious and always makes me laugh. Jason, Bobbie's husband, is often there and is always so nice. I have not talked much with the others there, but they seem really nice. Bobbie has a really fun, happy environment there. The booths are decorated to the stylist's personal style and it has that personal touch to it. They also have jewelry, scarfs, and makeup including customized color foundation up for sale. There are also events that occur such as makeup and jewelry. There are so many great things about this place and I am glad I got to try it again with Bobbie. Tip: Like the salon's Facebook page. Bobbie posts specials, coupon deals, and contests for new as well as existing clients. **The stylist I had trouble with is no longer there. I came in to get my and my husband's hair cut yesterday. They have a special for men called Manly Mondays, which was awesome. $10 for a simple men's cut! Bobbie did both of our hair. She was fabulous. I lived in LA and Miami, so I'm pretty picky about my haircuts. I have really long, layered hair and needed a trim and clean up. Bobbie was such an artist. She paid close attention to how my hair falls and worked with the way my hair lays. Best cut I've had in a long, long time. My husband's hair is really hard to work with--wavy with small curls at the end, and it kind of goes every which a way. She did a great job on his hair too! She cleaned him up and made him look like a human again. Short without being too short or a military cut. Everyone working in the salon was super sweet and gracious as well. I have to tell you that the service is great and the staff is friendly and sincere at Paparazzi, and I was treated like royalty. I had wanted to get my hair done platinum (silver, not grey, white or blonde) for about a year now and kept putting it off.  I finally decided I was going to get it done. It was my birthday weekend and I was getting an extra bonus at work that week. I had shopped around and ended up choosing you guys after reading the article about Paparazzi in Forsyth Magazine. I even stopped in a week before I made the appointment just to make sure it was something that you could do, showed you several pics of what I wanted and even asked: "Do you think I can pull it off?"  I was told yes that you can do that.  If you told me my hair would not go that color that would have been fine. Instead, I made the appointment and after paying $100 plus a $20 tip, the results were not even close. I called the next day saying that my hair color was more blonde than silver and I was told to come back the following Monday, which I did.  My hair is now more red than blonde or platinum.  It is not my nature to complain or to be a jerk or even stand up for myself when I feel I didn't get my money's worth. Well, you guys dropped the ball, you didn't even come close to giving me my money's worth. Shame on you! I don't mean to be an asshole but when I look in the mirror I get pissed because it was  just such a waste of my money. I could have done this myself at home with a store bought product.  I probably wouldn't even have sent this if you hadn't sent me this email about how you appreciate my business. Unfortunately, I looked at the Yelp reviews on this salon because I was trying to find a place that was close to home. I had my 1st appt. for color/cut. Had to go back a 2nd time because they totally messed up my color. Then they had the nerve, after paying $150 for 1st botched appt., to charge me $25 to blow dry/style my hair at 2nd appt! Went back a few months later and they botched it once again! Different hue than last appts. Rescheduled 2 appts. after that to have color fixed and had to cancel both. They billed me for a $47 missed appt. fee for one of the missed appts. I have to say that they were all extremely nice people and I really hate that it didn't have a good outcome. I was looking forward to finally finding someone that knew what they were doing...based on the Yelp reviews, that is. Best of luck and hopefully you will have a better outcome than I did. read more

Courtney is easily the very BEST colorist I've ever had. She transformed my chocolate brown locks to full-on rose gold in only 2 sessions, and even the in-between color was absolutely gorgeous and garnered numerous compliments from complete strangers! For the first time in my life, I absolutely love my hair!! Most recently, she toned it to a trendy "cream soda" color which is not only flattering (she is always careful to give me a color that compliments my complexion), but also blonder than I ever thought my hair could go! Another testament to her skills is how she is always careful to do her foils at an angle so my part doesn't reveal gaudy lines of highlights. Her work speaks for itself in that it has convinced a good friend to switch from her long-time stylist to Courtney, as well as another friend (who hasn't colored her hair since college) to trust Courtney with her natural locks. The salon itself is very down-to-earth yet professional, plays good music, and the staff always greets me with a smile. Even the prices are incredibly affordable for the high quality work they do. The staff never pushes products on their clients, although they will happily give expert recommendations when asked. I'm just visiting the area and needed a cut and color. They were very nice and got me in within a few days. However, they assigned me to a very young and inexperienced girl, who gave me a very mediocre cut. It doesn't look freshly cut at all, and I had shown her pictures. And I really disliked the way she styled it, too glam and "old lady". The owner of the salon came over and chose the color, which was perfect, in fairness. Not a good experience. I went for a color and cut. Since I was an instructor in cosmetology it was obvious the girl did not understand how to apply or allow the color to oxidize. It was not rinsed well and when I got home it was in my ears and clumped in the nape of my neck. The cut was also unorganized with no direction of what style she was trying to achieve. The cost? $100 I had to redo the color and cut when I got home. I was hoping to find a place I could call home. This was not it. Would not recommend this salon due the level of responsibility that this salon is willing to take. My hair turned an awful color just one week after they colored it. When I called they advised they'd take me in right away, however, I didn't realize that they would be charging me FULL PRICE to correct their error. When you're paying $160 each time, that will add up quickly. ALSO, they ask you to sign a form that removes them from all liability in the event THEY mess up your hair. Again, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THEY MESS UP YOUR HAIR! That set very bad with me because they are the professionals and I should be able to feel comfortable knowing that if some mishap was to come about, that they would fix it without having to pay for it once again. We were in a last minute bind for a military ball and our scheduled hair stylist bailed last minute. We called the night before (and it is currently in the middle of Prom Season) and Paparazzi was able to get us in for Hair/Makeup the next day!!! Carly did the most AMAZING job!!! Fantastic salon: friendly, professional and talented staff, beautiful decor, and they offer wine! Seriously though, I went in over the weekend for a big transformation to my hair. My stylist Debi took a look at what I wanted, talked with me about how to customize it to my hair, and put her original spin on it...and I have never loved my hair more! The cut is fantastic and the color is AM-A-ZING!! It was a big job and took way longer than expected, but Debi was gracious throughout and gave 110% to make sure I looked great. What wonderful outcomes I've had from coloring with Courtney!. My hair gets - or should I say got - orangy as the color aged. Now, no more brassy gold just the rich brown I want from day one for at least 6 weeks ( till the grey starts showing). She's so talented!
