My son is 8 and the youngest of 4 children. The older 3 sailed right through with confidence in their abilities. So I assumed 4th child, would just follow suit. He was happy, kept up with everyone else. I volunteered in his class each year so I was involved. Towards the middle of 2nd grade, his teacher picked up on it that his reading, math, phonics scores were really low. I became very concerned and knew something had to be done. As I student, I personally found that Elite Tutoring Academy has been the best tutoring place that I have ever been to. I participated in other services such as Princeton Review to higher my SAT score but those services barely raised my score. Once I went to Elite Tutoring I immediately felt more confident and intelligent. There were only 3 other people in my class so it was very personalized which aided me greatly. All of the tutors there are very experienced and know pretty much everything in their field. Most importantly, the staff there especially the owner, Jeff, is very friendly and care about each and every student there which was something that I have never seen or felt anywhere else. Coming into this class, like any other child, I was a little against it. I already had in my head that I was finished with my SAT/ACT's. Honestly, my parents made me take this class. I am the type of person, that if I am being forced to do something, why not give it my all. I was privately tutored by a few of the teachers on Monday-Thursday for 1 month. I put in the work and effort that was required, and then some. In order to achieve more, you have to put in the effort, and so I did. Within such a short period of time, Jeff and his teachers were able to bring my score up significantly. The sessions really aren't that bad. I have been to other tutors and classes that were god awful. I think that Elite Tutoring definitely succeeds in making it more interesting than other places. Before taking classes at Elite Tutoring Academy, I was very stressed for the SAT, and I had a below average score. Thanks to the strategies, skills, and tips the very well educated teachers had provided us with, my score had dramatically increased, and my confidence with it. In addition to covering the SAT, I found it very informative and helpful to do two practice ACTs. Furthermore, the numerous essays we did as well as the feedback we got after taking them was very helpful. As a student, finding ways to study for the SAT was definitely a challenge, especially if I had to do it by myself. My parents signed me up for the 60hr group tutoring program. Looking back, I was most definitely annoyed with them for making me give up my weekends to study; but now I'm glad that they did. I don't think I would've been able to do this by myself, because with the group, you're all helping each other out as well. As a result, my scores increased by 290 points. The teachers are nice and certainly try their best to help you out as best as they can. There is work that you ultimately have to complete at home, but you only get the results from how much effort you put in! read more

At first, I turned to Huntington for ACT tutoring and it did not end very well. The teachers and curriculum they teach at Huntington is fallow and unhelpful.
