Med Spa? It hits you in the face when you walk in. How about just dentistry? 2. My first experience they used some sort of plaque laser that I later was charged for because it wasn't covered. I had never heard of this treatment before, and I'm not entirely sure it's of significant value. 3. I was told that I needed to have a 360 scan of my mouth or head for today's appointment - that it's a requirement of the doctor to provide care. This scan is only 50% covered by most insurance, including mine, resulting in a $100+ out of pocket bill. 4. This is the same practice that billed me for a bunch of DeFazio's work when HE was my dentist. I told them I'm NEVER going to pay those invoices. Long story short: They have quality dentists and hygienists, but the business is a money-grubbing enterprise that will stop at nothing to sell you additional services, many of which have nothing to do with dentistry. I found it extremely off-putting. I just want a dentist to make sure my teeth are healthy. I don't want all that crap. He's going to get $0 from me from now on.

When I first came to her I didn't know what to expect, but I had swelling and unrelenting stabbing pain as what my doctors called "normal effects of my procedures" -- and I was out of options from the medical community.. These "normal effects" caused me pain in doing everyday tasks, making me worry about how I would be able to continue life in a normal manner. Shannon not only could identify what the problems were specifically (like scar tissue, fibrosis, and muscle tightness), but she addressed them and brought about immediate relief. After the first couple of visits the horrible stabbing pain I was experiencing was gone. Surprisingly, she didn't use a lot of force - the work was gentle. Then, when reconstruction surgeries produced unnatural looking results, Shannon worked to soften the tissue over time to create a more natural appearance. This also helped a great deal with the post-operative swelling and discomfort. Shannon's training is extensive in lymphatics and the body as a whole. She is wonderful at explaining what is happening inside the body so that it doesn't sound so medical and "foreign." She boils it down to plain and simple speech so that you can envision what is happening, which helps you cope with why your body is taking so long to get better. She has taught me about the multi-layered stages of healing (it doesn't happen overnight!), and she has given me hope when I was feeling defeated in my recovery. She is professional and kind - a practitioner who truly cares about you and your well-being. If you are struggling with something similar in your own life, I can't recommend her highly enough.

I have never had any issue with Botox or filler treatment in the past, however, Belinda refused to administer them after I disclosed sinus issues and a healing ruptured eardrum. Instead, she up, sold me on a $2300 treatment called EmFace, which she promised would be better for my sinuses, etc. After two treatments, I noticed my facial muscles were moving in all directions and causing Facial/Neck/upper back pain and increasing congestion in certain areas. During my third visit I attempted to bring this up with Belinda before we started and she flatly responded " I don't know anything about sinuses." I was already frustrated after waiting 25 minutes, and had noticed that Belinda double booked her patients since she is the only provider in this MedSpa. I assume she does this to make more money for herself. She was clearly distracted, rushing back-and-forth between rooms, and I was so frustrated that I left before she could make the damage to my face any worse. I have reached out to Belinda in the business asking for a refund, and I'm hopeful she does the right thing.
