I went to Bair Spa for many years for Botox. Always to the same nurse and I was told I required 29 units for my forehead area. Then, on three separate appointments, I was schedule with different nurses (2) and they both made the same comment, I do not know how they are getting 29 units in your forehead. I then was scheduled with the doctor on a visit and he stated, okay, looks like you get 33 units. I was always suspicious that they were not being honest and gouging since Botox is charged by the unit. I quit using their services. I would not recommend. read more

I've been to Bair for several years and always been happy with the treatments I received - until this last time. My regular gal was booked so I took an appointment with one of their newer staff members. I've had this particular treatment for over 10 yrs at Bair as well as at other beauty facilities and I'm familiar with it and the results. In the past, I've rarely, if ever experienced bruising. On the few occasions I did, it was with 1 or 2 tiny bruises that were very light in color. Not so this time. This time I ended up with 5 enormous bruises that were so dark they were almost black! They were so bad I couldn't go out in public for 5 days - and this was with icing my face immediately after leaving and up until I went to bed that night. I had 1 bruise the size of a quarter and another the size of a dime. I have to say, I was stunned by this. The other disappointment though was that I called a few days later and left a message about this and no one ever called back to ask questions, etc. Not what I consider a quality facility, sad to say. read more

I never had any medical issues or pain until I came to this nightmare of a place. My pain at this moment is rough something I've had to live with when Nicole injured me with a microneedling radio frequency machine. I'm not the only one that had to get an mri that she worked on. It's disgusting how these people are so nonchalant about the suffering they caused. I have a permanent injured eye and nerve pain for over a yr all the Dr did was see me to take pictures for weeks after the injury. My eyelid is permanently droopy and a hole dent dug into my inner eye another Dr said I'd have to get fat grafting and one one outer. The swelling Eye neck jaw ear pain I couldn't close my eye all the way the depression and post traumatic stress I had the fear of waking up in morning and it getting worse the sleep loss trying to figure out the pain or me going blind I went to several ophthalmologists neurologist spent thousands on drs appointments creams vitamins mri medication I had to take. I won't give up trying to get justice. Stay away from this place if they injure you they won't give a shit. Thousands of dollars later, poor results on vaserlipo would not recommend that or the fat transfer at this office. Not happy with either result and it doesn't matter to them they got paid. I assure you I was a patient at your facility, I did receive a second treatment with little result after that one as well, had one phone call following it within 24 hours and zero follow up since then and your paperwork states in bold no refunds, if it was an option I would've accepted. Ive never been so humiliated. The nurse was trying to sell me way more botox than Ive ever had. She was so very condescending. she said maybe if i did triathlons I would metabolize the treatment faster. Clearly, Im not someone who does triathlons. I felt so judged at a place I went to feel better about myself. Looks like Im going back to Alluraderm. I cant believe what just happened. Really appreciate that this spa is much more than an esthetic boutique, they also offer cryotherapy, and since insurance doesn't cover actinic keratosis removal, this is a well hidden secret. I just wish I knew about it before I spent so much with other dermatologists in Albuquerque. All the staff is extremely nice and very welcoming!!! I had to go back to get a small correction which is normal at times, Dr Bair had no problem correcting what I thought needed to be corrected. Desiree was excellent at dissolving some bad filler that was done at a " non doctor medical spa" that had migrated from the tear trough to my upper cheek leaving me looking bluish with bags that were not there before. Don't go here. I met with a nurse for a consultation where she presented 3 options (one included leaving a circular scar on my nose). During my second appointment (which they called and moved back an hr because they were running behind), the esthetician explain that out of the 3 options the nurse told me I had, none were correct. I was there for an extraction. The towels she used on my face we cold (supposed to be hot or at least warm) and the pressure she applied for exfoliating my face was so little I couldn't tell if she was even touching me. She told me she got the extraction. I paid the $40 for 15 mins. Turns out she hadn't got it. So I went elsewhere. Also, they don't believe in refunds. read more

After many,many visits to this place, only ONCE was I able to get the results I was looking for. Every single time I went for botox or Dysport,I had to return because the product did not work. I would return to have them fix it, I was told that I would need more. They would inject who knows what,then when I would return for regular visit I was having to have more then the visit before. In March I had the only great result that I had ever had here. I returned in july, and my luck had quickly run out. Dr. Bair did not give me anything close to the visit before. I went back. His wife Christie told me that I am just going to have to have more injected..and she told me that the reason I don't ever get things done the way I hoped, is because all Dr. Bair can do is "try"!!!! In my opinion,after visiting two local Plastic Surgeons, is that Bair Medical Spa dilutes their products.This is why they are able to discount their services. I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU too Desiree and the Bair Medical Spa!!!! I am a travel nurse from Florida and I literally work 16 hour overnight shifts with NO days off. Today I unexpectedly got a day off and I desperately wanted to have a Kybella treatment done. I had found Desiree on Instagram and LOVED her beautiful work! I sent her a DM at 9 in the morning asking if there was anyway that she could fit me in same day. She said that she was booked but would call me if she could fit me in. I live and work 2 and half hours from Desiree's spa....I hopped in the car and drove to Albany on a wing and a prayer that she would find a spot for me! At 11am I reached out to her again and asked if she found a spot for me. She again PROMPTLY responded back and told me she would try her best. At 2pm she called said she could squeeze me !!! When I got to Bair Medical Spa, I was expecting to be rushed in and out because of my last minute appointment. But the complete opposite happened! The front desk staff was so kind and patient! The all had smiling faces and thanked me for coming! When Desiree came to get me, she was warm and friendly! She gave me a tour and a very thorough consultation! I felt so ease that I told her about my painful TMJ, she patiently recommended a treatment and offered to take the time add that to my Kybella treatment! I was so grateful! I had a bad experience here that I feel compelled to warn others about. Went in for a Matrix RF treatment. i had not been counseled or prepared for how painful this procedure is. I'm not a baby and have had other similar treatments at a medical spa in California. I was crying all the way through, almost threw up from the smell of burning skin, left in tears and no one even called to check on me! I had gone in for help with droopy upper eyelids but this treatment left me with 2nd degree burns on my upper cheeks. I don't know how that will help my upper lids. I had to use cold packs all night because of the pain. I still had red, burnt-looking skin a full week later. A few days after the treatment, I got a bill -- which is fine, but they included a letter threatening to send me to collections! I suspect they are used to people being pissed off and trying to not pay. Avoid this place!! read more

I have used Bair for light Botox and filler over the past 6 years. In 2017 I went to a plastic surgeon in Albuquerque for more dramatic work and it did not go well. I went back to Bair in 2018 to rectify a problem created by the plastic surgeon who had created a permanent dent in my cheek while removing excess filler he had inserted. When I went back to fill in the dent after waiting for months for improvement as advised, the surgeon told me to just go live my life and be happy, this was not the end of the world. But I looked like I'd had an accident and the dent invited questions! Dr. Bair meticulously fixed the dent using filler that eventually will need replacing. but it's looked fine for a year now. I am so grateful because my face looks normal again. I appreciate that he did the work over two visits to make sure there was no overfill.
