We really liked staying here. Our room was very nice & clean. The bed was super comfortable. We had a room on the opposite side as the ocean, which is fine by me because we had a great sunset from our room. The staff was very very nice! We even got there after their happy hour ended by a half hour, and without even asking, the front desk girl offered to get us a glass of wine, which we did do. And in contrast to another review, the red wine was good. Not top of the line, but definitely not gross. It was your average house wine from any upscale restaurant. The location was perfect for us. On the beach, easy access. They had beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels if needed. The views from their deck are stellar. They also had enough parking. Also, there is an elevator from the parking area, so getting luggage to room is easy. Here's the only issue I had. When you book on their website, it clearly states what's included in your stay with your room. A few things listed are: breakfast, beach chairs/umbrellas, towels. HOWEVER, when I went to checkout and pay online, there is an 'AMENITY' fee! They describe this as a fee for the beach chairs and towels, etc. Please don't tell me it's included with the rental of my room, and then charge me for it at checkout. It now becomes NOT INCLUDED and I am in fact paying for it extra! I was really going between the 3 star review & the 4. I do not appreciate being deceived. I had spent a lot of time looking at where we wanted to stay, so at that point, I just went through with it and paid. Also, the only other confusing thing, is that I thought they had provided bfast there. They do have coffee (really good coffee btw). They also had pastries at bfast that they get from a local bakery. My husband had an apple danish type thing and he really enjoyed it. But they offer us a $30 voucher to one of two places in town for bfast. We chose the garden cafe. It was good. Our family stayed here for our reception 2 weeks ago. we have the whole suite area (thankfully) since our group was very loud. I have always wanted to stay here and I am glad we did. that weekend turned out to be a perfect weekend to stay there, weather was gorgeous! we stayed at Tradewinds suite and it was perfection. we have our door open the whole entire time except when we were sleeping but other than that the breeze was just flowing on our room. The service here is wonderful! Employees here are amazing and super friendly. we also enjoyed eating breakfast here. Also, the beach is just few steps away! that was one of the reason why I choose Elizabeth Lodge. Unfortunately, I am not able to say anything about the rooms on the main lodge since we did not stay there but booking the tradewinds is highly recommend. read more

This place is amazing. We love to treat ourselves to nice things as much as we can, and Elizabeth Pointe never fails to deliver. One of the nicest places any where. These folks are always, always very courteous and totally professional. The oceanfront rooms are perfect. The view is indescribable. The rates are very affordable compared to other high-end oceanfront resorts. It's hard to believe the few random poorly-rated Yelp comments. Obviously those 'critics' have zero knowledge as to what makes a superb 5* oceanfront resort. Unfortunately, there are unhappy people in the world who can never be satisfied. We hope the owners ignore those miserable people who hate on everyone and everything, and continue to focus on what they do best - great service in an immaculate facility. read more

Definitely has improved since our stay 3 years ago. You can't beat the beachfront location. Rooms are small and mattress not great but the ocean view from the beachfront room is outstanding. Front desk was always very helpful and breakfast was good. We booked online in April for a June stay and found out later that our daily room rate dropped significantly but no adjustment was made. We would have had a better price had we waited to book. Manager said it was the booking algorithm. Plus the elevator was out but they did call to let us know. read more

This place was absolutely stunning. I stayed for one night in August and fell in love. It was my first ever bed and breakfast. The location right on the water gives such romantic energy. The cocktail hour with complementary wine and beer was such a nice touch. I had a glass or two while sitting on the huge wrap around porch the over looks the beach. So peaceful! The room I stayed it was so clean. The bed was super comfortable and the elevator was a plus. Since this is a bread and breakfast, you should expect to hear noises outside of your door a lot more than at a hotel- but other guests were not loud so this didn't make much a difference. There's parking on-site and a beach chairs/ lounges available to use from the place, so make sure you soak up some beach time while you go. It's also not too far from the town center, make sure to check that out as well. read more

Complete disregard for customers. My wife and I both diagnosed with cancer simultaneously. Called three months prior to our reservation to cancel and they refused to refund the deposit because it's the same weekend as a car show. Business ethics demonstrated based on our situation and their in ability or unwillingness to feel compassion speaks very loudly and is all I need to know about this business. I've stayed in the past but will never return and will advise all of my family in Amelia as well as the United States of this. I am currently scheduled to receive treatment on March 3 and because of their car show policy they refuse to work with me. Shameful to say the least read more

Everything about this quaint Amelia Island resort is perfect for a quiet, relaxing and peaceful stay. You cannot walk through the main area without being greeted or asked if there is something you need. Morning breakfast in the private dining room with a view of the ocean, homemade treats and table service is included along with the evening cocktail hour. The ocean facing porch with rocking chairs, private beach with lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas, fresh fruit, treats and waters at the door (and sunblock at the desk if you happen to forget!) all make this a place I cannot wait to return to with family and friends!! read more

Ii'm only giving this one star instead of zero because the staff was so nice. Everything else about this place was a complete dump. *First of all, we're on vacation and there's no bar but they do offer a "happy hour" from 3 to 5 PM with the cheapest nastiest wine and cheapest nastiest beer available. *The entire place smelled of mildew/mold. *Our room could not justify as an oceanfront view as you had to look out the side window and crane your neck a bit even see the ocean. *Our room was tiny and lacked any modern amenity whatsoever. There wasn't even a chair in the roo, the walls had stains and cracks, the bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub but did not operate as a tub, it only operated as a shower, cracks in the shower tile, etc., etc.. *An armoire took up the majority of the room which is completely unnecessary in size * location is not close to any bars or restaurants or shops. Had to Uber everywhere. The back of the house that you see from the beach is cute but deceptive. We couldn't wait to leave. And, for the amount charged per night, we felt that it was a total ripoff. This was an unfortunate experience. We booked our trip through Expedia and reserved the Hibiscus suite. The photos of the room showed it to be ocean front. In actuality, there is no view of anything other than the road (see photo). Although that is a buyer beware situation, the comfort of the bed is not. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and noisy. When you sit or lay on it you can feel the bed springs popping with every move. It was hard and lumpy. Very uncomfortable. There is no sound buffer from the room above. So, every step those guests took was heard. Sadly for us, the guests were up late. You can also easily hear street noise and the dumpster being emptied right outside our room. We maybe got 3 hours sleep. When we decided to checkout a day early, the front desk was not empathetic at all. I think that was the worst of it. Positives - the view from the second floor in the main hotel is beautiful. The COVID-19 safety practices were up to CDC standards. breakfast is delivered to your room with a robust assortment of food choices. If you have an ocean-facing room, I imagine the view is breathtaking. read more

Sadly we had a terrible experience with the office manager at Elizabeth Pointe, one of the worst travel experiences we have ever had. We were caught in a hurricane dilemma with Idalia and were unable to leave for the trip on the scheduled day and requested a modification of our reservation. In trying to work with the situation we were treated disrespectfully and unprofessionally by the office manager. We actually ended with several rooms charged to us with no correction. Her associates appeared intimidated and at that point we left. Fortunately we ended up at the Omni Villas nearby where we were treated with lovely hospitality. read more

Our family went for my birthday. I explained over the phone I was handicapped and use a scooter mostly to get around. We had 2 rooms 1 for my Dad and our son that I learned was behind the elevator. My hubby and mine was an oceanview room. When I was checking in at the front desk the young lady said there wasn't a handicap seat for the bathroom. I was rather suprised. From the moment we arrived we felt incredibly welcome at Elizabeth Pointe. One of the three hosts that greeted us was in training herself and did a remarkable job in explaining the many attributes of the lodge and the surrounding areas. Located right on the beach, you can enjoy the views from so many locations on the property whether at breakfast (complimentary), on the rocking chairs on the verandah, or on loungers with umbrellas provided by the staff on the beach. the evening cocktail hour was sweet and a nice in between nibble before dining at many of the fine restaurants in Fernandina Beach (Le Clos) and casual fare at Salt Life Food Shack. My wife and I stayed here for our first year anniversary in August. The staff was unbelievable, so on point with everything and they make you feel like your worth a million dollars. (Even if your not rich and got a deal to stay here) The private beach is incredible. The afternoon snacks are fantastic. The island is amazing and it's got great places to eat! Elizabeth Pointe is a fine place to stay in general. It's not upscale, but it's a classic beach inn-which is what we wanted. With that comes some classic beach inn smells (in the room), but it's not that bad. The pros: great staff, great breakfast, outstanding beach views, lots of free foods/drinks, fun/free happy hour, and easy parking. Cons- Not enough beach chairs/umbrellas (they should add more or ask guests ahead of time/set up some sort of reservation system), the beds are springy (did sleep well on them though), the room smell (would recommend ozone treatment or changing cleaning products). All in all, we had a nice time here and are glad we booked this place. read more

($$$-$$$$) It is right on the beach and the main lodge, which is a 1890 Nantucket shingle style inn that has been converted with 20 beautiful guest room to rent or their is the Modern House for more modern suits or if you really want privacy... the Miller Cottage is a 2 bedroom for rent! The restaurant is well known and which we had a Valentine breakfast! Staff is friendly and attentive. The furnishings are comfortable and plush...everything explicitly maintained even with the affects of the sea salt from ocean breezes. read more

My wife and I stayed there recently along with our daughter and son in law. We spent 7 nights in the Miller Cottage. The cottage had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a spacious living room. the kitchen was roomy and well appointed. there was an outside deck overlooking the surf with rocking chairs. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts each morning at the main part of the Inn. Everything the cook prepared was excellent and the pancakes were the best. We also enjoyed the wine and appetizers on the front port of the Inn every night at Happy Hours. The staff was exceptional in attention to our needs. This is a beautiful location - however, for $400 a night - I think that we should have gotten a nicer room. No view , outdated coffee machine. The bed required a step-stool to get onto. My boyfriend and I just returned from a week at Elizabeth Pointe. We had painstakingly researched resorts to pick the perfect one for our rare week of vacation. We had several amenities we were looking forward to that helped make our decision. We were disappointed when Elizabeth Pointe didn't have what they advertised. 1) Elizabeth Pointe's website indicates there is an onsite restaurant where guests can make reservations. This restaurant closed during COVID and the website still has it listed we were told upon check-in. Strike 1. 2) Elizabeth Pointe's website also indicates there is 24 room service. That also closed during COVID, but is still listed as we were told during check-in. Strike 2. 3) Elizabeth Pointe's check-in documentation indicates nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the front desk any time. The front desk staff had NO CLUE that was an option and we had to show them the check-in sheet they had given us after they told us we couldn't buy anything and to come back during Happy Hour. They did conceded on this one and sell us 2 glasses of wine eventually after proving what their documentation said. Strike 3. This resort has some great potential. It's in a killer location, the beach access is amazing, it's clean, and relatively kept up. They have an underground garage with an elevator to room floors which was wonderful since it rained 4 out of 6 days of our trip. They offer a breakfast buffet from 8-10 which is nice (they do ask you to arrive by 9:30), but start taking up items before 10 it seems. There were just several things they need to work on like, educating staff. We asked several questions and seemed none of the staff knew some of the answers. We had to go pick up our own toilet paper from the front desk because no one was servicing our room. They only do room service from 8-12 and ONLY if you leave the placard off the door. We've been to many resorts where they service the room and you never even know when they've been in there which is heavenly. Their AC was units in the wall which were loud and didn't cool very quickly. Their hallways and elevator are not air conditioned at all and were very stifling when traveling up and down. The directions for the showers were incorrect in our room and we got doused with water from the rain shower b/c the instructions didn't' match the actual shower knobs. They have cold water bottles and ice, but you have to always ask at the front desk which is odd and you have to wait for someone to be free. We felt they were pinching pennies and costing themselves more patrons in the process. If the amenities are there.. patrons will come. Overall a cute place to stay with spectacular beach views, but if you're looking for pampering... this might not be your place. They really need to either bring their amenities back or remove them from their website. Otherwise it looks like they are false advertising on purpose to get patrons to stay at their location. read more

This bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make our 40th wedding anniversary one to remember. The oceanside views were amazing and we loved opening the windows and hearing the waves all week. The staff greeted you with a smile- remembered your breakfast preferences and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The quiet beach setting with lounge chairs / umbrellas and towels waiting each day made it hard to leave. The homemade brownies and cookies were irresistible. This review is specifically for the Mother's Day Brunch. I had my mother, mother-in-law and my daughter with me. I reserved months in advance. This was simply a very overpriced continental breakfast. Many of the items were gone (i.e. quiche) by the time of our reservation, 11:00 a.m. The worst part? The bill came to over $200. Insane. Never, ever again. Remember - this is for the restaurant only. I planned on a long weekend with my wife there after I finished a meeting nearby during the week. As COVID was starting, I tore my Achilles' tendon the day before and had to fly home fir surgery. I immediately called the inn to cancel, BTW they were 1/2 empty because COVID restrictions were starting. The person on the phone was blasé and happily told me it was too late to cancel. They kept my 400 deposit which was expected, then a week later they charged my cc another 1100, the full cost of the 3 nights. This included flowers, etc that we obviously never received. I called several times and emailed several times with no response like other Yelp reviewers. In 20 years of traveling, this is the most heartless treatment I've ever received. Based on my experience and others on Yelp, please don't reward their callous, money grabbing philosophy with your hard earned funds. There are other equally nice inns to try on Amelia Island. These people will only change if potential guests encourage them to change. read more

The owners of this bed and breakfast truly made this stay outstanding. We were really impressed that all the little details weren't missed, from the bed being pulled down at night with the little provided chocolate pieces, to the spectacular stuffed French toast at breakfast with authentic maple syrup!! We got married at this locale and our day couldn't have been more special!! From the kindness of the owners all the way down to the entire staff; we couldn't have been more impressed; but, if you think it stops there you're wrong! Wait until you sit out on their beautiful back porch overlooking the clear blue Atlantic Ocean with a cup of coffee or a cocktail in your hand....you'll truly think you're in heaven! If you are ever visiting Amelia Island this is a great place to stay for peace and quiet and a beach practically all for yourself. It has the intimate charm of a B&B with the professional care of a five star hotel. Just picture getting up early to walk on an empty beach watching the sun rise; going back to the hotel for great ocean front breakfast; followed by relaxation in your own private area on the beach all day; free cocktail happy hour in the afternoon; followed by dinner at a great restaurant and watch the sun set. That's pretty much how most of the days went. Staying here can be a bit pricy but I strongly recommend spending the extra cash to stay at the side cottage house facing the beach instead of the main hotel - it is worth the experience. We initially stayed at the main hotel for the first couple days in an ocean view room (which was ok). The main issue I had was that the bed was a bit stiff for my liking and the room was small and didn't look as nice and new as the advertised pictures (especially for the price) but it still had a good B&B homely charm. We decided to upgrade the rest of our stay to a cottage house suite called the Breezes which immediately enhanced our experience for the rest of our stay. The majority of the people that were here seemed to be middle age and up, so if it's peace and quiet you are looking for in a great environment then this is the place for you. read more

This was the first B&B I haved stayed at in a long time. The perks are the people, so nice and helpful...a personal touch, and of course breakfast! The downside is it is not a resort and doesn't have the amenities of a pool, spa, bar, etc. You really have to decide what you prefer. We stayed in an oceanfront King and found it to be very nice. I did honestly find it pretty pricey for what you got, but again, if the personal touch matters, it may be worth the extra. Very nice people staying there that enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and chatting. You don't find the same friendliness in a resort. I forgot to mention that they also have received a lot of awards for being one of the top B&Bs in the Nation, so you definitely check out their website and see if it is for you! read more

There are a lot of things that Elizabeth Point Lodge got very, very right... so yes, I am a fan, but not a five star experience. Hubby and I spent three nights here on our first trip to Amelia Island. I loved the look of the New England beach house - the owners did a very nice job executing that vision. This inn was built in 1992, but used vintage materials so that you see old wooden floors, vintage accents, and really feel like you are in a 100 year old house in Maine. The under inn parking is great if you are concerned with sand and a convertible top, we never had trouble finding a spot below and there were plenty of spaces otherwise... I hate resorts that are tight on parking. The lobby/living room is very comfortable, and there's always a friendly face there. Lots of windows overlooking the beach right outside the doors, and a large round table in a bay window gave you several options to enjoy your complimentary gourmet breakfast or apps and a glass of wine at happy hour. There's a large covered porch with rocking chairs (the photo you see over and over) as well as two round tables for dining or lounging. They also have high boy tables there and along the walkways. Our room was on the 4th floor, and there's an elevator right in the lobby. We had a king bed, two side tables, a large armoire with a small TV, and a straight chair. A small TV, note, don't be expecting a big flat screen. The bed. Ouch. My biggest complaint by far was the firmness of the mattress. If you are someone with back trouble who sometimes sleeps on the floor... you're in luck. The rest of us, crazy hard bed. We had large windows that looked out onto the beach... but this trip taught me I need more than ocean view, I need a balcony. I know there was a large porch downstairs, but I need that pajama option on my private balcony as well. Couple that with the fact that the bed was firm and there was only a straight chair otherwise... the room just wasn't comfortable. The bath was OK, the rainshower was great, but again with the vintage decor there was hardly any space to put your toiletries, etc. The bathroom had space for it, just not furniture, so I spent a lot of time digging through bags on the floor. Again, though, the shower was great although I really wish the hand held faucet was a) a lot lighter, and b) had more pressure. The food staff were all very nice and very attentive, and house keeping was on point throughout with one odd exception. Night #1 and #2 we had six towels... it was awesome. But night #3 for some reason there were only four in our room. That's still better than you get at most inns, but don't you hate it when they change up on you and you don't realize until it's too late? Overall, it was very nice. They are adults only, so no kids running around, and honestly the vibe they have going... that would ruin it. We enjoyed the destination overall, I just have other ideas where we'll stay on our next trip to Amelia/Fernandina Beach. read more

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The house was beautiful and right on the beach. The location was convenient to the town. Our room faced the ocean and had huge windows so we had a great view! We slept with the windows up to hear the waves. We enjoyed happy hour on the porch which faced the ocean (plenty of wine, beer and shrimp cocktails). We had a scheduled time for breakfast and it included a continental style breakfast with made to order French toast. We only stayed one night, but I would happily stay here again when we are back in Amelia Island. read more

Pros include great location, lovely buffet breakfast with great variety and delicious food, deck behind the lobby with lots of rocking chairs and tables. Cons include small rooms and a hefty price tag. For the price, I would rather stay at the Ritz Carlton down the street again. Overall it's a quiet and beautiful place to stay.
