From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome. You don't have to wait long before being called back and my hygienist is great! ( Miss Tiffany) They take the time to listen and explain everything In easy to understand language. Options are fully discussed and I never feel rushed. Dr Pittman is wonderful and is a caring, patient doctor even though I know he has a busy schedule. First visit excellent. Second visit I only saw the dental hygienist. By the way she was excellent both times. The doctor never showed. I got tired of waiting and left. The third visit was for a cleaning and a crown. Again the cleaning was excellent. Kudos to his dental hygienist. That's the only nice thing I can say about the visit. Taking off my crown was pure pain. I beat on the chair with both arms trying to let him know he was hurting me but he never let up. He never apologized. Not one dang word! I am so angry with him that I will never go back to that office even though I would love to have his dental hygienist clean my teeth but I won't give him the satisfaction or any more of my money. Well, that time came around again. They had to start by doing xrays & a cleaning in order to give a proper evaluation. I told them I needed to be gassed if they were going to do any probing, scraping, drilling, in my mouth. They didn't judge me, make me feel bad for letting it get to this point, etc. They built the sedation and gas into my bill for every visit [ended up needing 7 total for all the work I had to have done, I just finished the 2nd one today] & I thought I was going to have to have 4 false teeth put in but they told me they could do a different, cheaper, method instead. Everyone from billing department to dental assistant to dentist are so incredibly friendly. I couldn't be happier & my fear of the dentist is beginning to subside. Yay!

Dr. Ellis is my daughter's osteopathic physician who practices at the New Horizons Wellness Center. Although he is not a pediatrician, I found him to be a patient doctor who my daughter feels very comfortable with. The appointment did not involve a lot of waiting that we have experienced in other places. The receptionist was pleasant. The nurse was also very nice. Dr. Ellis took a proper amount of time talking to us about her medical history and doing the examination. I would recommend him to others looking for a local doctor.

Perhaps the quality care, is why I never needed something more than a cleaning!! While it is hard to rate a trip to ANY dentist very high, Dr. Nowell and his team were always top notch. I never recall waiting in the lobby for very long. And his hygienists were friendly, efficient, and pleasant. And for the most part, they never changed and stayed in his office for years. Something I thought was pretty normal until I started going other places. If you are in Dothan and in need of a dentist, you wouldn't get a recommendation for anyone else.
