We were there for 4hrs and didn't even do all the things we could have. We ate lunch there, the food was expensive but that's common nowadays. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! So don't worry about not liking the food, it's well prepared and tons of options. We also got a coffee and it tasted good too! They really have it all! My favorite part was the mutin-busting, they made it so fun! The corn maze was a close second, it's not too hard and fun! After coming off a poor experience with another CO golf club we decided not to go through with the membership, Pradera was a breath of fresh air & a sanity check about what a real country club should be like. Coming from CA, the first thing we appreciate is the bang for your buck you get as a Summit member at this club. For vastly less money, we have access to 2 country clubs, better food at both, & 2 courses that don't look like they're one drought day away from being a sea of dead grass. When we signed up for our membership they even gave us a deal where we got a couple months free! I know my husband will say the golf was the most important factor for him in a club but it was the food for me. The menu's are not snooty & boring like our old club; we have a ton of fun choices & everything tastes fantastic everytime. I also love the clubhouse; it reminds me of the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland. We also love the course which is kept beautifully. The staff here are also SO genuinely nice & helpful. If I had two small knitpicks it would be that I wish there were more fruity cocktail options on the menu & that it was easier to get out onto the golf course (Summit membership helps mitigate this last one a lot). They hold so many tournaments on the weekends in the summer that it's hard to get out there & it books up fast regardless. However, just goes to show how beloved the course is!

There's no food allowed inside, so make sure you do snacks before you go in. They do offer snacks to go in the way out, which was a nice touch.

The festival grounds are beautiful and so unique from other Renaissance Festivals! It is exceptionally well run, especially for a seasonal operation. Parking, traffic, maintenance, entertainment are impressive. Walking through the festival felt like being at Costco on its busiest Saturday of all times. I actually enjoy being somewhere that's so popular. A packed event creates a fun energy. However- the festival has become a victim of its own popularity. Even at 3pm, food lines are 100+ deep, and last hours. The problem isn't admission capacity but the ability to feed guests. Demand has simply outgrown the infrastructure for food service. I left after a couple hours without buying food or drinks, simply because I wasn't able to. This represents lost revenue for vendors as well as a worse guest experience. I'm not sure what the solution is. But I'd really hope the owners can figure something out. The festival keeps admission and food reasonably priced, and it's clear that a tremendous amount of work goes into creating such a wonderful event. Unfortunately, at this point, the festival has become a victim of its own success. Hurts me to type this, but I think they need to think about limiting attendance or increasing ticket and food prices enough to reduce crowding and make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. The customers deserve to be fed, and the vendors deserve to make money!

The fair lasts about seven days, so take the drive out and have some fun.

As to the golf course, it is not gender friendly. According to the USGA, 12 of the 18 greens cannot he reached by women in regulation play. They need to move the tee boxes if they want women to join and be happy there. They need a starter. Yesterday, the father and son who were booked at our tee time added a threesome to their party and took our tee time. Held us up on many holes after causing us to tee off 15 minutes late. So rude! Wish we had never joined.

And, the stands also face the mountains so along with whatever game you're watching (I think HS football might also be played here??) you can also get a great view. Bathrooms were clean. Concessions were available. And, entrance for the rugby game was only $5. And, right next door is a nice park, so you could multi-task and bring the family. I think many people did just that, which leads me to a word of advice for whoever was controlling the music - be sure to play the clean versions of songs! The little kids certainly do not need to hear motherf***er in the lyrics. Hopefully that was a one-time oversight.
