I got in touch with Martin. As you can see, Martin did an outstanding job. He took the idea that I provided and made it better. The detail of his work is exquisite. You can see variation in the bears fur, in the mountain rocks, and in the clouds. This was my first tattoo, and Martin was extremely helpful through the process. He explained what was happening and the different types of pain, which I found to be very accurate. I could not recommend him more highly. 7 years ago David did a portrait of my dad who had passed away a couple years prior. I looked for a tattoo artist for about a year for this portrait because I wanted it done accurately and to represent my dad in the best way. David far exceeded my expectations. He was the nicest person, we communicated before and he knew exactly what I wanted. The day of he was nice, caring and just a great person to be around. The studio was clears and organized. I was there for about 9 hours and the whole time he checked in on me and really took care. Once we were done I was blown away. 7 years later and the tattoo still looks as amazing as it did when I first got it. I received a tattoo from David Hamburg. The work was great and David has great vision; however, I paid $1000 to book two days of tattooing with David which he said was 5-7 hours of tattooing each day. He said that was shop fees. I had to cancel the second day and came in for one. I even gave him 2 weeks heads up that I couldn't do the second day. The tattoo ended up costing $700 and was for 4 hours. When I went to schedule another visit, he did not honor that I already paid for two days and said that was forfeited. This was documented nowhere and was in no way clear and obvious. I essentially got a $1700 tattoo on my inner arm. This is ridiculous. He has since ignored my comms and I can't recommend him to anyone. It feels very shady and I've never been ripped off this much by an artist in the 22 years I've been getting tattoos. I plan to post this review on all media to prevent anyone else experiencing this. read more

I can't even begin to express my appreciation to Darla for going above and beyond to make my tattoo happen. After going into a couple other local tattoo shops and being fed various reasons why they wanted to alter my vision I was left confused and frustrated at the apparent lack of talent in the Riverside tattoo scene.... til I contacted Elizabeth St Tattoo. I sent info via email, was responded to promptly and referred to Darla who contacted me back to schedule a consultation within 48 hours. As soon as I sat with her she put me at ease laughing with me about the fact other artists in the area said they "couldn't get detail in a knife that small" and I should just "leave it out entirely". (I should note they were all made aware I wanted a fairly large piece and the sizing never fluctuated.) A week after consult I was getting inked. The shop is nice and spacious, the artists are all friendly and fun and seem to get along well. Definitely a great experience! In the end I got EXACTLY what I wanted, it's gorgeous and I LOVE IT! Xander was the artist I was suggested to have my work done by. This ribbon containing a simplified nes controller, fork and knife (yeah that's supposed to be a fork and knife) and music note is my wedding finger tattoo. So it's VERY special to me. Note this was done 2 years ago and it is on a finger so I expected some ink fall out BUT I have several finger tattoos I did myself that are still solid. But I'm not even upset at the ink fall out. I'm upset that I spent $300 on this 4" ribbon of rushed work. From the first day it was uneven and unfinished looking. And I sent him the design over a week prior and he drew it the morning of, so that was rushed also. Like if you're only doing it for money, and you're going to do a shit job, send me somewhere else. $300 for what I got is ridiculous over priced. Then when I tried to post after I first got it done he asked if I'd remove the post because the pics weren't taken by him. I honestly think he was not pleased with his work. So now I'm here.
