My girlfriend and I stopped in today to get piercings for my birthday. I have been to this location many times in the past and recommend it to anybody who asks for a suggestion on where to go because of the jewelry selection and the inviting vibe. I was not 100% sure on what exactly I wanted to pierce and luckily the piercer Karina (not sure on spelling) was very helpful! We are both very happy with our piercings and what we chose! My reason for giving three stars is the girl in the front. Her attitude and uninviting demeanor were as though we were disrupting her day. Mind you, we were the only people in the shop as they had just opened. Her requests (Ie: us filling out paperwork or not standing in the hallway) lacked the common courtesy of a please and thank you, nevermind a smile. I own a small business and she is the first person customers see when arriving and the last person they see when leaving. I would rethink having this type of energy in a space that is supposed to be helpful and welcoming. read more

Unless you want to be greeted by the most unprofessional and rude employee, I wouldn't recommend visiting this place. The moment I walked in, she looked at me like I was asking for something for free, completely unwelcoming and judgmental. I felt uncomfortable and out of place. I was only there for a simple piercing, and after waiting over an hour (with hardly anyone else there), I politely asked how much longer it would take. She got visibly annoyed and responded with an attitude. Customer service- front- not so great. Shop itself- clean, typical aesthetic you'd find at most tattoo shops. Had a great selection of jewelry, and private rooms. Prices are a little higher than those around them but we'd come back for the piercers we had. Called in a day before to get info on piercings and the lady was nottttt very inviting at all. She answered the questions I asked very blandly and I was hoping for more info since I knew nothing of piercings and expected the professional to tell me more. It was over the phone so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she's having a bad day, maybe it's busy.... Anyways I called other places and got the info I needed but Mission was the place open and available for the time we wanted to we decided to go with them for our piercings. Went to the shop the next day and the lady I talked to wasn't there but there was another girl and she also was not very friendly. Went here to get my forward double helix pierced and the lady was so nice and explained that particular piercing is extremely hard to heal, gets caught in everything, etc. so I decided to go with my daith since I was considering the daith for easier healing and not getting caught in everything. I came in a got pierced by the tatted bald guy (Mike?) about a week ago and it was quick, perfectly placed, and awesome overall. I came in today, a week later, to get pierced again and was pierced by Kareena and although she's very sweet, she pierced me so slowly I could hear each layer of my cartilage popping as she pushed the needle through, she accidentally poked me all over my ear and made me bleed in random spots, and the placement was so bad she asked if she could take it out and do it again. My earlobe piercing is not symmetrical and noticeably off. Looks like crap! I didn't notice till I got home. My ears are flat so I had to pull them forward to see. SUPER OBVIOUS. The woman performing the piercing didn't seem to care at all and just felt lazy about the entire process, even when she marked my ears prior to piercing. I was really hoping to like this place and for a positive experience. Came to this location because it's a minority owned business.
