I really don't care what everyone say about how these places are dodgy because they only hire…read morepeople that are vietnamese, and they don't wash their basins or utensils properly. Poppycock I say. BS. Rubbish. I will now tell you why. I spoke to a girl working here when she was doing my pedicure and she was actually a UQ Accounting student, another lady has 2 kids, works part time to get some extra income. They are everyday people just like you and me. They all just happen to be vietnamese.. maybe it's a trust issue. The owners seem to be family friends with all the girls working there, who cares. It's like a kebab shop run by greeks. Come on people let's not be so narrow minded. Anyway, I've been coming here for years, seeing I live in Mt Ommaney and they wash and sterilize their instruments just as much as the other nail place, they scrub down their pedicure stations after every person and they are pretty damn professional and friendly. So yelpers yelp not here. It is a great place to get a manicure and pedicure for $40. They do quite a good job with acryllics, it's no wait, walk in and get serviced and judging by the repeat customers who come in droves requesting for a certain girl, they do pretty good repeat business too. I can't speak for the other franchises of Professionail, but this one is pretty good in my Yelpinion. Which is worth its weight in Yelp.

Today I went in and a different girl did my refill and charged me $50 for a refill! I politely said that normally I get charged $35 and she just was not having it. I understand they were very busy and she wouldn't want to be standing talking money with me but that is not good business. Being spoken to very loudly by somebody in very poor English while a full salon watched is bad business. How embarrassing. I will never go to another Professionail again. :(

I was recommended this hair salon by my friend who has been going here recently…read more My hair was cut and styled by Puki, who did an excellent job. I was offered tea or coffee with a small cookie, and a stack of magazines (which I didn't use because we had a really nice conversation). I also had a brow wax and tint, and was impressed by the attention to detail. Some updates are required: Firstly, it is now located on Marshall Lane, not in Kenmore Village. It moved a little while ago. The new location is easy to get to; park at the little shopping centre across the road and then walk across the zebra crossing. Secondly, the website booking didn't work for me, and the site is out of date. It doesn't mention the brow waxing / tinting services or the spray tan ones ( there may be more that I am not aware off). This should be fixed as you will loose potential customers this way!

Etticut was my hair dressers for many years. I went here mainly because it was convenient at the…read moretime as I lived just down the road but overall, my experiences here have been mixed. Some days I would get an awesome haircut and other days, it was a totally different story. The thing about Etticut is that the quality of the hairdressers can be inconsistent. Sometimes I got young trendy hairdressers who seemed to understand current trends but other times I would get hairdressers who would not understand what I was talking about. Last time I got my hair cut there (which was over a year ago), I asked for a trim of what I already had- an angular bob cut, and the hairdresser was completely confused by my request! This is a pretty common hair trend and I was baffled that she was not aware of such thing. Not only that but it took a total of 2.5 hours to get my hair cut as she was alone in the store and kept having to go serve people at the front desk. YAWN! I have had some really good haircuts here though so what I would recommend is if you know someone who gets their haircut here, ask them who their hairdresser is and get yours cut by the same one. I have never had a "hairdressing horror story" to tell about this place though- no one has ever fried my hair of made it turn green so at least there's that! I can not give this place anything over 3 stars due to its inconsistencies in quality and service.
