I used…read morethe Yelp iPhone app (disclaimer: I work at Yelp) to search for "engravers" nearby and EGO was at the top of the list. I was told they could rush the engraving job for a $20 same day rush fee but I didn't need to make use of that service. The selection of styles for the text was wide and in the end I was very happy with the engraving job that was done. The turn around time was about 2 days. I was also impressed with the wide selection of gifts that you can purchase at EGO. Most notably, they have liquor flasks, lighters and trophies and I imagine they'd engrave any of them. Perhaps I'll go here for a trophy if I ever arrange a hot sauce eating competition.

They completed the order without discussing with me, I brought the correct pieces and they finished those without any discussion on an updated invoice. I emailed them asking for an invoice and a month later I got two different invoices, the second for nearly the same price as my original quote. If this would have been discussed and approved I would feel fine but when I asked about why there were two PO's, Chris emailed me and said "why am I having to chase payment?" !! I emailed THEM asking for an invoice on Oct 9th and they sent me the invoices on Nov 11. And I emailed them with questions just a few days later. Chris sent an unprofessional email gaslighting me into thinking I'm out of line for being SHOCKED my invoice nearly doubled with ZERO communication or approval. Seems like a bro run shop who think they can be condescending to their customers (maybe just the female ones?). The company was not organized and I won't be working with them again. Time to work with LA printers, bummer I really wanted to stay local.

I emailed at least 10 other places asking for quotes for 15 women's t-shirts and Bay Ink Screen had the best price and was the most professional. They sent over a professional quote within a couple of hours of me asking. I just sent them a pic of what I wanted printed (found on Pinterest/Google Image Search) and they were able to create a mock (free of charge and the result looked exactly like what I was looking for and I didn't have to ask for any changes). Bay Ink Screen was also the only place that offered to do a gold "foil" print for the same price as regular silkscreen print colors. Phri, the manager, was so helpful and accommodating. I went into the shop to check out the shirts and he was so knowledgeable and was patient while I even tried a couple of things on so I could get the sizing right. This is my go-to silkscreen printing shop for sure. There really isn't any point checking out other shops.
