Three seperate times his office called to confirm my procedure date. After confirming with them, not once did they give me any instructions not to eat or drink the day before or day of. When I arrive on the day of my scheduled procedure, Dr. Chiclet says he won't operate on me because I had breakfast...situation is unnacceptable because I took off work and lost money. I run a business too and it certainly opened my eyes about responsibility to your clients/patients. Be thorough, be nice and your reputation will stay great! Be a jerk and incompotent like Dr. Chiclet and his staff and its diminished!!! There are plenty of vein specialist in the city, my advice is CHOOSE ANOTHER!!!!!! I told you I was gonna write a bad review and your response was thats fine! Not once did you take responsibility for your actions and staff and say, we apologize for the lack of instructions before your procedure. I am being treated by a specialist for severe pulmonary hypertension and have reported to her that I am severely fatigued and sleeping 14 hours a day. The specialist chalked it up to the PH medication and said I'd get used to it, but this had been going on for five months. Dr. Fingesten found that my blood pressure was dangerously low from the PH medication and changed my medications. The next day I felt like a new person. Not just energized, but thinking clearly. I am so grateful to Dr. Fingesten for this, and for all the other great things she has done for me over the last 14 years.

Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. When I need to find a specialist, she always suggests someone at the top of their game. Her office: On the plus side, there's a lab in the same building, so you can run down and get a simple test done conveniently. The negative is that the space is designed in a way that secludes her staff behind a wall, so that you have to stand at a little window until someone notices you. Sometimes I get frustrated at being ignored and just walk in to get her assistant's attention. But that's my own damn impatience. Maybe Dr. Hart can prescribe something for that??

I barely felt the needle entering my neck. She had to inject several times and I have to say her calm demeanor put me at ease. I was very comfortable during the procedure.
