Rules must be followed. Plenty of outlets for creativity and fun. (good to have bumpers to keep the bowling balls out of the gutter, as it were...) We have always appreciated and enjoyed what AFA has done for our kids-even when they can't see it! Not the best choice for everybody but Absolutely the best choice for us.

In regards to the negative review, it is common place for many daycares to follow even school calendars. The practice of having the school close so that the staff can celebrate holidays with their own family is well known in advance and practical for keeping happy teachers for decades. Smarty Pants stayed open for me and my family during COVID lockdown so that we could work. Tuition is paid for closed holidays so that staff can be paid. I completely disagree with the one star review listed here. You pay for the quality of care you receive.

Anytime we have brought up a question or a concern, her immediate response was to threaten to "release us" from our contract; basically, if you don't like the way she does something, she has no interest in discussing it and would be happy to leave your child without daycare (obviously, any place good has a waiting list). Which is exactly what happened to our family a couple of weeks ago. The facility electively closed the entire week of Thanksgiving and still charged tuition, and I questioned the fairness of that closure and payment: see the attached photos. Smarty Pants cashed our post-dated check a week early, "released us from our contract" the next day, and will not return our NUMEROUS attempts to reach them about why they won't return $275 they took from us. There is rapid turnover with the teachers, as well. Jillian acts like they run a non-profit and is constantly asking for "donations" (we spent $150 on our child's back-to-school supplies). Everything about this place is a money-grab, and there is no true relationship with families.

We have a 2nd and 5th grader and I've always been pleased with their teachers, the staff is very professional and has always been helpful when I had questions or when I was at the school to visit. The grounds of this school are so well kept, the security here gives me comfort as well, so many resource officers and lots of teachers out helping kids when it's time for final bell. Teachers are great at communicating here, we couldn't make it to our sons parent teacher conference so she called us and had a phone conference instead, they are so good at working around busy schedules too! Highly recommend this school to anyone in the area.

The IB program is fantastic; my daughter knows so much about other countries already! The really push caring for the environment also which is great. You won't find a better principal anywhere and the teachers fabulous! The school itself is beautiful and new, there are international gardens throughout the campus that are very well maintained. Classical music plays in the walkways for the children to enjoy as they walk from class to class. It's beautiful. Sanderlin will be THE school once people truly discover it and learn about it.

This is our first year here, and our kids have excelled even in the first few weeks. I have seen a…read moredifference in their confidence towards their academics as well as their manners. My kids are more aware of their surroundings and others around them. This is huge! Especially since all four are growing in these things :)
