In Castlegar, BC -- Called and got Mike's wife (lynn) and asked for service at my home in…read moreCastlegar. I was provided with Mike's cellular to contact and speak to him. I did that and Mike was pleasant and I explained the 4 items I needed him to handle for me when he did the house call we booked for the following week. When Mike came, I was at work and it was previously arranged that I would not be home and my son who is 21 would show Mike what needed doing. Mike did only one of the repairs that may have taken him all of 20 minutes and did not even look at the other work he was called there for. I asked to have my furnace serviced and the biggest reason for the visit to my home was to repair a leaking water tank which was explained in great detail to Mike. When Mike came to the house, he repaired a black PVC pipe connection and nothing else. I then had to contact him days later to ask what I owed him for his services, I was not yet aware he hadn't repaired the items I requested. Mike's wife was incredibly rude to me on the phone and I said, just have Mike call me when he wants to get paid. Mike called right back and asked if I had a problem - I said, not at all I just want to pay you and I don't want to speak to a rude person while I try to get information on where my bill is. Mike said he had emailed the wrong email and then sent me the bill - I promptly paid it. Few days later, I had a home appraisal done and the appraiser alerted me to the pool of water at the water tank and it was then I realized that Mike had not repaired the tank NOR had he serviced my furnace as was my request. Mike did a house call charging me $100 and did a very quick and easy job and left the rest without even communication that to me at all. Mike and I emailed back and forth for him to come look at the water at water tank and he did come by my home when I was not here an left his business card. I called today and his wife answered the phone again - she told me she was not going to give me his cell phone number to contact Mike and she was abrasive and extremely rude and unhelpful to me again on the phone once more. I tried to ask why she was being so rude to me and she hung up in my face. I called back and a man answered and I politely said I was looking to leave a message for Mike or speak to him - this man said this to me verbatim "what you think he just sits around the fucking house all day doing nothing"?? I asked why he was speaking to me in such a way and he too hung up. Needless to say, despite Mike being a nice person, he was unprofessional, didn't do the job he was called to do and did a house call for a 15 minutes job to get his $100 house call fee. His wife and whoever else answered his phone are nasty people and rude as can be - I will NEVER use this company again. I have been a homeowner in this community and this is the second tradesman who I have found to be very unhelpful and even dishonest and very rude. BEWARE - thanks.
