Very fast service at 1:30 on Tuesday. I had been in the previous day to renew my class 4 license, which for me, required a drivers medical. I forgot to bring in my receipt for my doctor's service. Went in to get information about a ticket i have and i think its the manager (Chinese guy) did not want to help me at all! he did not listen to what my question was and just straight up told i cant help or tell you anything!! This is not the first time i come here and get him every time and every time its the same thing he does not want to help! I went to Mac Registry and they were able to answer all of my questions and concern and were so helpful. i will never go to your registry ever again and will make sure that no one i know goes there! Worst registry in Edmonton. Unfortunately this one is the closest to me. The man there is so rude and always has to pick an argument when we come in for something. Nothing is ever right for him. Tried to change my drivers licence to Alberta and he said I didn't have all the right papers for it. (He was extremely rude) So I leave with exactly what I had to a different registry (one on 63rd ave and 99th street, highly recommend) and there was no issue at all with changing my licence. It's like the man at the Ellerslie Registry doesn't want to help anyone, and makes things a lot harder than it has to be. read more

WORST registry ever :( EXTREMELY rude manager (the guy with glasses) who treats their customer like air. When I first time renew the license plate, he did not want to help me and answer my question at all and rushed me several times. He suggested me to get a refund and leave. Went to renew my license. Had an issue with my documents that I did not immediately understand, but instead of explaining the situation, the guy at the counter decides to start yelling at me loud enough that the whole place could hear. Then he starts banging on his keyboard and when I got my documents organized, he goes around tapping his other colleagues on the shoulder, pointing at me, and shaking his head. Hard not to take that personal. Side note: as a health care worker during covid, wearing gloves, but then cutting the fingers out so you can play on your phone and using sanitizer on the outside of your gloves is not proper PPE. There are registries 2-3km both east and west (Summerside and Windermere) of this place. I recommend those places. read more

Worst service ever have, I booked a road test here and had to reschedule due to work. I requested the time to be one month later at the same time. I have written down the time and the date on the paper they provided. I was on time there and told the lady at the reception that I have a road test. She was surprised about that and pretended she didn't understand what I meant and asked if I need to book for a road test. I told them I have a road test appointment but they didn't say anything to me. She just turned to another guy with glasses and ask him to do it. I sat there for 15 mins for him to go through all his paper files. They only have a manual paper file system. Finally, three people were finding at the record together. After 15 mins, they say they have me at 10:30am. The rescheduling was on speaker phone and my friend heard I said 11:30 to them. I asked them if we can re-schedule but they just shake their heads. They can't even give me a professional explanation. They don't care about customers, only about money. They have poor customer service and bad business operations. I will never go back and I recommend other people shouldn't neither. They will go out of business with their poor customer service and manners. I finally went to the Edmonton Registries Service. They have way better service than Ellerslie and they said they would have rescheduled it for me due to misunderstanding. read more

Truly the worst registry I have even been to by FAR. The lady who did my driver test was incredibly rude a yelled at me loudly while I was driving. I am not upset about failing the test, I am upset about the attitude of the lady from the moment she (refused) my hand shake. She verbally insulted me several times throughout the test and was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and negligent. I can't beilve she still has her job. Not to mention the staff at the front desk were very snappy and responded to my simple questions with butter disrespect. Amazing registry . I went for my drivers exam . They wee great at helping me relax. The instructor was nice . Can't remember his name . But since its been taken over by the government and regulated i feel much at ease. Although i failed . I just wanna say that my experience was very pleasant. I had previously went to another one on North Side and did not know if i wanted to try again as I had such a horrible experience with the instructor . Some people just shouldn't be instructors. The agent was not helpful at all and it seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. If I didn't go to another registry before, I would have ended up paying extra fee for an additional document, which was not required. I know this may seem like a silly place to do a review on but I had such great customer service from the people at Ellerslie Registry that I just had to tell one and all. I had to make an appointment for a driving test and the guy behind the desk helped me pick the best time to take the test and he gave me some insight into what I needed to know for the test. On the day of my test the examiner was running behind with another "student." It was about 6:00 and the place was closing up, I asked the same guy who helped me before if I would have to come back the next day to retake my license picture for my new license. The guy told me that he would wait for me to finish my test so that I could get everything done the same day. My driving test took about an hour and the guy was still there. He got everything set up for me to take my picture and then sent me on my way. It was really nice of him to wait for me to finish my test so that I didn't have to come back a different day. read more

Poor customer service. Some people there including the examiner is nice, but they fail to offer the services you want. I went to book a road test and the lady was very nice, but booked on the incorrect day (than the one I asked for). I had to get it changed and when I wanted to cancel it and receive a refund, they would not let me. Their policy is "maximum two reschedules", and "only reschedules, no refunds". I would give this registry zero stars if it would go any lower. We had a license plate put on hold with a name and contact number, but due to some hiccups with the car sale, we couldn't go pick it up until a few days later. First off, they didn't tell us how long they would hold the plate for, so we didn't know there was a time limit. Second, what was the point of taking down our name and number if nobody gives us a call when there's a change? In addition, the staff there are so disorganized and they apparently don't communicate with each other. They weren't able to find our plate at first, so we had to make another trip...only to find out that they'd already given our plate away! With no word of apology whatsoever, this registry has the WORST customer service ever... not to mention that they don't open on Sundays and every single long weekend, they are closed. We are better off going to Summerside Registry, where they put more value in their customers. read more

If you're doing your class 5 road test, think again, because if you get an -old white lady with a European accent-, reschedule your road test immediately because this woman is anal. I drive a manual, and I've been driving it for years -- recently just went to driving school took the whole package to reduce my insurance and not once did my driving instructor say anything about the way I change gears or my car control (I don't straddle or lug, in fact, I transition quite smoothly if I'm allowed to say this for myself). I think I got 30 marks deducted for the same thing. So my score in the end was 145 (you need to have it below 75 to pass). Two years ago, I failed the test (yes, I'm ashamed that I failed twice, so I practiced my ass off for this one) my score was 95. So apparently over the years and after driving school I've become worse at driving. Anal old prick. Lesson here is: Get a male to mark your road test. Yeah, I failed the last time I took it, but at least the shit he told me I did wrong didn't sound like he was pulling garbage out of his ass, and when I asked her to show me where in the book it tells us what's considered "too slow or too fast" gear transitioning (because I know for fact that I transition gears smoothly as there was no lug or growl) she told me she doesn't have time to show me where everything in the book is and to read it over. Funny because I read it over, I practically have the thing memorized, and I still can't find that part in the book. read more

Horrible Service. I went in at noon on May 3rd, and asked for information about booking my class 5 road test. The man who helped me was likely around 30, 5'6", of Asian descent, and had glasses. The entire time he couldnt be helped to look up at me as he continued on his work on his computer which was obviously more important than paying attention to an actual customer. I asked the price and how long they are booking for which he replied '$78 and a couple weeks'. I asked'can you actually tell me the days? What is a couple weeks supposed to mean?'. Still looking at his computer he said "a couple weeks, so two weeks". I was so blown away with how condescending this jerk was that I immediately left, and did not book through their registry. As a 24 year old male who works in computer engineering and is far from someone you could describe as an idiot by looking at me, this business is pathetic. This place has zero level of service. The guy is extremely rude. I went in to renew registry of my vehicle. Firstly he rudely asked if you've the licence and insurance. When I presented, he threw them towards me saying that if you own the vehicle, insurance should be on your name. I said ok that's my husband name and then i just asked him few basic questions in order to understand how we can resolve this. To each question, he said I don't know and go ask your insurance. In the end, he screamed at me that you keep on asking me why. He kept yelling at me till I left the door. Not sure how this business is running with this pathetic service. I don't think so they want customers. He didn't even had courtesy that he's yelling at a pregnant lady, gave me so much unrequired stress . Never ever go to this place. I had a horrible experience here. Do not book your advanced road test through them. They charge $148.00. The customer service is horrible (the man who works there was looking at cartoons on this computer with his back faced to me). They took my picture for my licence very quickly and were pretty inflexible about allowing me to retake it a couple more times until I was satisfied. I had to tell them that I need to live with this photo for the next 5 years. Anyway don't go here, they charge top arbitrary prices and don't care about the customer, just money. read more

I was literally the only customer there and still waited five minutes to be served while the two employees there talked to each other about their weekend plans. When asked for info about starting a numbered company I was immediately told to look on the Internet. I also wanted to renew my vehicle registration. I'd paid for a speeding ticket online that day and had the receipt on my phone. The lady serving me told me to go home, print it out and come back. When I asked if they could possibly print it for me she waved her hand in front of my face and said "IMPOSSIBLE". Please remember that I was the only customer there!!
