I haven't come here in a long time, as I have just renewed my car registration online for the last 4 years. But in the past, I didn't have any issues when I did come here to do it. I have never been treated bad, yes sometimes there can be a long wait, but I've experienced that at other registration places too. Yes, I agree the place isn't very nice to look at and could use some renovations to make it more welcoming but I don't come here to have coffee and hang out haha. I just want to get in and out with my registrations/licensing.

Easy to get to, and close by a pub and a convenience store if you need a snack. Originally, I stopped in at around 5 PM but it was full of folks coming in after work for a variety of services. It was way better to go back the next morning at 10 AM. Just one dude in front of me and a bunch of employees free to help, so I was in and out in probably less than 10 minutes. Got the license changed, fixed my hair in the mirror helpfully hung next to the camera, and got my smize on for my new drivers license. The wait was probably around ten minutes even though the Just for Laffs made it seem like an hour. The transaction went by quickly but registration renewal is a pretty routine thing anyway. The staff are friendly enough but they all seem phased by the ravages of routine. In other words - they're bored. They're probably slightly desensitized to normal human interaction from the multitude of people stopping in without the correct paperwork who in turn throw a tantrum when they are refused service. Honestly, it's annoying to be turned away because you don't have a notarized letter from your stork filled out in triplicate by Brazil's ambassador to The Cayman Islands. And a current utility bill. It's always best to check online to see exactly what you need before standing in the Just for Laffs line. It saves you an ass-tonnage of heartache. They finally accept credit cards here now but you have to pay a 3% fee. It's best to bring cash or just use debit. Maybe they're using the 3% fee to pay for a wider cable subscription package? Doubt it.

Registration service was pretty fast and straightforward despite the long queue. I then asked if I could speak with an insurance broker to get a quote, I was guided to the reception where I waited for a couple of minutes for a broker to see me. Glenn is the most transparent insurance broker I have ever met, he told me everything about my current insurance, why I am paying this much, gave me an overview of the different insurance companies and the quoted premium, he even gave me tips on how it will be reduced in the future as well as how to get myself covered with other insurance packages without being pushy about getting me to sign with them. Although I did not get their business, I am impressed with the way Glenn accommodated me. For sure I will go to Farnese Insurance for my future insurance needs. Look for Glenn, I just learned that he is the owner when I asked for his business card at the end of our conversation. The reason I'm giving only 4 stars is I did not sign up with them because the quoted premiums he showed me were a bit higher than my current one, I wouldn't elaborate on that anymore. Nevertheless, my overall experience with Farnese has been a pleasant one.

Anyways, be confident going in here and know what you came in for, making sure you have your Id's and the expiry dates are still in good standing. You can get your learners done here or any class learner I suppose but most of it is done electronically on computer there. If your drivers license expires in the year you can only renew it within six months before expiry. I tried to get mine done early and was refused. Remember to dress sharp or at least do your hair first before your next photo. Recommended for a quick vehicle registration or you can do online if your comfortable waiting for the sticker to come in mail.

My husband's uncle paid a $400 deposit to secure a room and the travel agent took his money and "forgot" to book the room - and by that time the resort had sold out!! She didn't seem at all interested in finding a solution to the problem. She called my husband and said, "I forgot to book your uncle's room, so...." and that was it!!! (Luckily, the resort ended up releasing some rooms a couple weeks later). The travel agent "lost" my brother-in-law's room when she tried to switch his departure from Calgary to Edmonton. (She didn't secure him a package from Edmonton before giving up his Calgary one). Again, she didn't seem interested in solving the problem until we demanded that he be booked a room of a higher class that was available and Farlie could pay the difference, for their mistake. The agent "blocked" us seats on the place "as a favour" without us requesting her to do so. My mother-in-law specifically told her she needed to be seated near the front of the plane because she has extreme claustrophobia - and the agent put her in the back of the plane. In booking these seats she SPLIT UP THE BRIDE & GROOM (my husband and I)!!!! On an overnight flight - she didn't even have us sitting together for our own wedding!! Yet, she put some of our single friends sitting together! When we complained and said we wanted to sit together, considering it was OUR WEDDING, she sighed and said it was a hassle to change seats!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER use Farlie Travel for anything again! They made an already stressful event (planning a wedding) about 20 times more stressful!
