Mind you the service was done between 430 and 630 so after waiting a little bit longer, they were finally finished with the work I then went to pick up my Honda Civic after the owner showing me how good of a job they've done on a all black Tesla so I was expecting a really good service or at least the job to be done right I pick up my car and did an errand and was in a parking garage with amazing lighting so once I parked the car, I wanted to inspect the work a little bit better which then I noticed, if not all of the black plastic trim was completely scratched, which they have buffed over and then also sections of the paint completely scratched like I've noticed some high-end cars, but I didn't think that they would treat a mid range like this or even a first time customer I am not expecting a crazy, nice detail but at least a paint. Correction could've been done way better and could not have completely scratched up my whole car along with the trim. I am also in the customer service industry, and I take a lot of pride in the service that I provide, which I would expect a brand new shop to have the same thing in mind but no, apparently I was wrong there was residue of the buffing everywhere. The car was more dirty on some areas I do not recommend getting any service done here. They rushed the work and have absolutely no pride in what they do. I also found remaining spots on the paint afterward, including tar residue and bird dropping residue that should have been addressed during the wash. I understand that no car wash will be perfect every time, but when paying for a hand wash, I expect the obvious exterior areas to be checked before the vehicle is returned. The lower panels and splash zones are exactly where dirt builds up, and those areas seemed rushed or overlooked. The staff has been fine, but the final result has not matched what I would expect from a paid hand wash. At this point, I'll likely look elsewhere or use a professional detailer for exterior care because I'm trying to protect the paint on a newer vehicle.

I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience.
