Do not go here. Scammers. Came in here alone as a young woman and asked to have my brakes checked. They told me I need new brakes in the back and front and wanted $750 for the repair. This is that trusted local dealer. They have serviced my vehicle a couple times now (alternator, transmission mount, engine mounds), and I will say they are very honest and fair. Even a little thing like replacing a fog light as a courtesy when I didn't even bring it to their attention. That is quality service, and all services provided have proven to be done correctly. My experience thus far has been positive - more to come. I'm needing to find a service garage closer to my home for our Audi Q7. My previous mechanic, whom I totally trusted is just too far away. Neno answered the phone and took some quick details on my car. Being a first timer, he is asking for more time to inspect the car. I'm needing a basic 96K service, that based on the alert warning being activated - otherwise the car runs like new, we are religious about services and car maintenance. Well, I attempted to stop into international motors today (8/22) but parking was total chaos. they had several cars in the garage and the street parking is bad on Tuesday based on posted signs. UGH! I walked from about 5 minutes away just to try and get my car in. The nice lady who speaks mainly Italian sent me into the garage where I found a boisterous Mario who told me to wait a few minutes. After waiting a few minutes I turned and walked out - I just didn't feel the vibe. I honestly can't hold this against them, BUT, my little voice told me to go, so I did. read more

Zero "0" star if I could give them one. Recently got a diagnosis from another mechanic which indicated I needed a new front differential in order to stop the shaking and vibration of the vehicle, called international motors due to positive reviews and explained to them my issue and that I wanted to get a second opinion they told me to bring it in to test drive it. There conclusion was it is not the differential causing the vibration but 100% that I needed a transfer case and my sparks plug replaced. I triple asked are you sure and their response was "yes yes" so I purchased a transfer case and had them put it in and once I picked up my vehicle the same vibration and shaking was happening. I took it back to test drive it again with their mechanic to show them the problem and all they could say was it is probably misfiring. Now I am out of $2000 parts, diagnosis and labor and the very reason I took it to them wasn't fixed. :( Please be aware before bringing your vehicle for any diagnostic and having them fix something that was not needed. Once you confront them it's get out of my store we did some work on it. After promising 100% it was a transfer case and not the differential which the other mechanic recommended. Great, now I need to spend more money to fix the vibrating and shaking problem. I should've went with the first mechanic and his recommendation, would've saved $2000 but this was their way of making money off of me abs ripping me off. Reviews unfortunately are sometimes misleading for judgment on finding a trust worthy mechanic based off of reviews to each person it will vary. But with my unfortunate situation I was ripped off. He couldn't even admit that he made a mistake and misdiagnosed the problem, I probably would've felt better. Instead I get a get out of my store response after my money was taken. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I have been to many mechanics, and left and right I have been lied to or taken advantage of because I am young. Nino was honest, understanding and so respectful. I had a 2009 Jetta that was a HEADACHE but they took me in with open arms. My car was overheating so they changed the thermostat, water hose, radiator and still my car was overheating but they would not give up. Nino worked on my car for 3 DAYS. Most people would give up but he was determined to help me find the problem. In the end my car was unfixable so I traded the car in for something new, but the fact that they kept going, didn't give up and did all they could was a service I have never experienced before. Nino and his team are amazing, and they will do everything they can to ensure you get amazing service. San Pedro is a 1950s town, and this is a 1950s garage. Small, cramped, tools everywhere, cars seemingly stacked on top of each other. Impossible to walk through. Nino Marchione, the owner, is a graduate of The Swedish Car Clinic who struck out on his own with a Croatian partner in downtown San Pedro. These are both European mechanics of the sort you would find in a small Mediterrean town -- jack of all trades, car related, and magicians at fixing the unfixable. This is not a white overalls place, but a nice greasy establishment that oozes the sense of real work being done. My experiences here, with a SAAB and a Mercedes, have all be positive, from the unannounced drop-in to the paying of the bill shortly afterwards. Fast, efficient, almost courteous, but above all, darn good mechanics. read more

Brought my car in today at about 11am to get its brakes done. Mario was immediately on-hand to check them and identified that I needed them replaced. They didn't have the parts so Mario called his supplier and figured out roughly when it would arrive, estimating that he'd be done at 2.30-2.45pm. I then proceeded to relax in their little waiting room, where Nino helped with an extension cord so I could power up my laptop. Lunchtime came, and I strolled over to a small Lebanese restaurant 3 blocks down for a bite, and went back to the waiting room when I was done, food coma and all. Sure enough at 2.40pm Nino came over to let me know my car was ready. Friendly service, accurate time estimation, and not to mention a free car wash (when you spend more than $200). Honest, family ran business. My siblings and I have driven many family cars to the ground and how Nino managed to keep them going for as long as he did is a mystery we may never know. Have to say, fair pricing, good customer service. I brought my 02 330cic there for an alternator replacement. Had it towed while I was at work, fixed and arranged for it to be picked up. Started at 12, done by 3. They also went above and beyond, he noticed that my skid plate was missing screws and just hanging there. They tied that back up for me. The only complain, the did not give me my old battery back so I lost my core deposit, but I take some responsibility for not finding time to drive back and retrieve. I started to come here after I bought a used M-Benz. They've done all my oil changes/preventative maintenance and are doing my brakes as I type this. I seriously love these guys, they are so honest and to the point.
