We brought dinner with us (micro wave in room) and enjoyed dinner with a view after a nice swim in the pool. Terry- the owner, is a wonderful host that isn't intrusive but adds his own charm to the place. With his eye for detail, and his passion for Abilene history, you can see it throughout the house. The staff is absolutely the best and everything is so clean and new. My room was a corner king suite. Enormous room. It's like I had my own little apartment. If you love the gym and pool this room is for you. Room 236 is directly across from the gym door. Gym is nicely equipped and they have plenty of water and fresh fruit. Also a few steps more and the pool is right there. My only complaint is I had to keep my shades closed 24/7. You can see directly out to the pool and others in turn can see you. So unless you want everyone to see your every move then close the blinds ha other than that I appreciated the senor lights into the restroom and the thermostat is a bit interesting. I heard it is motion sensored and goes based off your body heat. If you like it cold maybe drop it down a few degrees than you are usually used to. Lovely property and great bar/patio too!
