But, let's face it... you spend maybe an hour with them. Then you spend 3-5 years off and on dealing with the service department and that is where Mercedes of Charlottesville really shines. We were told it was our problem to find replacements, go to a junk yard, and after multiple, multiple attempts at help, got nothing. This isn't Hyundai or yugo, it's Mercedes and this dealership is not at all representative of MB. Joey Harris the GM or Danielle the service manager yes'd us to death, but never did a single proactive thing in terms of being part of a solution and not the problem. When they did bother to return our calls, every time it was "we can definitely understand and appreciate your frustration", but nothing would ever get done. 5-6 calls would go unreturned, with full on phone screening "can I tell them who is calling ?" Finally, after 52 days, having to get Mercedes Benz USA involved, and at our own cost, we had to send our car to another Mercedes dealer. Who, in customary Mercedes style, immediately stepped right up, uncovered solutions and proactively advised and guided us towards a solution. Just received word from the other MB dealer that in only 5 business days, parts were ordered, car is repaired and ready for pickup. How is that possible ??? Do your own research, there is a pattern here, and this is not an isolated incident. Read the other multiple reviews stating exact same and decide for yourself. Up to you, but I would avoid this dealership for any and all service needs and if they are that bad on simple service, it speaks volumes on any possible new car purchase, caveat emptor.
