Please think twice before you use this business. My experience with Walter was absolutely horrible. I rarely ever write reviews but I honestly feel I have to help the next bride. Walter was so rude to everyone, including the two elderly mothers of the bride/groom. He missed taking the one picture we requested for the whole day and blamed us for making him miss the shot. He did not have a single picture of the immediate family. His DJ actually called my husband "Dan" instead of "David" which was in fact my late husband's name. This mistake brought me both embarrassment and pain. When these painful mistakes were brought to his attention, Walter refused to take any responsibility. We requested a discount due to missing scope, and Walter blocked us from viewing the gallery. I work with dozens of vendors and have never had such a distressing experience. Using Eloquent Studios is my only regret from my wedding day. read more

We chose Eloquent Studios for our wedding photography, cinematography, and even a Photo Booth for our guests. They were efficient, diligent and detailed to ensure they followed the tight schedule we had mapped out out for our big day. The photographers had great ideas for poses that were original, picturesque and fun. The video guys had a drone to capture shots from a bird's eye view which was a pleasant surprise! Everyone loved the Photo Booth and props, which included a photo guest book that my wife and I could take home and enjoy. Walter and Eloquent Studios were absolutely perfect from the get go! Talking to Walter is very easy and you can tell right away that he is a professional and loves his craft! Our wedding day went perfect and Walter and his crew made it so easy and stress free. They guided us through all our photos and made the experience quite joyful. Walter came highly recommended by our venue and it absolutely showed how well he knew the grounds and where to get the best shots! We were able to photograph in every single location we had wanted! We used Eloquent Studios for their photography, videography, DJ and photo booth and we're so happy we made that decision. Our wedding was originally supposed to be at the Madison Hotel and Walter was a recommended photographer. I met with only two photographers and Walter and his company were an easy choice! He is super flexible and great at his job. He took beautiful photographs for us during our engagement photos and when we unfortunately had to revamp our whole wedding ceremony plan, Walter went right with it! I sent Walter endless emails about changing plans, locations, etc. He always said "we will do what you want. It'll be fine." And he was certainly right! My husband and I aren't the most photogenic people and Walter made us look amazing! He has a great sense of humor that makes the funny poses or 50 seconds kissing poses go by much faster. It was a pleasure working with Walter and his wife Danielle (who was absolutely the best helping me with my dress the whole day). I look forward to working with him again when he will be there to photograph our large celebration next year! read more

Well, there honestly isn't enough space for everything good I could say about Walter and his team at Eloquent Studios. We were first introduced to Walter bc he was a preferred vendor of the Madison Hotel.. but it was evident in that first meeting that we really just hit it off and were going to have a lot of fun with the whole process. Another huge plus, is Eloquent studios includes so many services that we were able to customize a package tailored to our wedding day, in just one place! We chose photography, videography, photobooth, "Red Carpet" photos as favors, & DJ services ...& it ended up that each member was such a wonderful addition to our special day. It is obvious how passionate Walter is about what he does and the evidence is in his photos. We had so much fun with his creativity and the preview of the shots we got our hands on are truly breathtaking. My husband and I aren't the type to take photos all day.. Walter knew this and understood the assignment perfectly. He had our schedule planned out for the wedding day, and it was so nice that, just that much less I had to think about because I knew he had it taken care of.. he was like the ringleader of the show making sure everything went perfectly... which it absolutely did! We got all of the pictures we had mentioned to Walter were important to us all throughout the event (plus so many more); I feel he truly listened to what meant most to us, recognized our vibe as a couple and went along with the flow of our day. You definitely want Walter on your team.. he'll look out for you the whole day & capture the best of moments while doing it! Walter's assistant, Jasmin, was an absolute doll. She'll have you laughing and just feeling so good about your day. Constantly watching your gown so it's in the perfect light while capturing those precious family moments on the side.. Thank you Jasmin!! & Justin was our videographer who was also awesome!! We only had gotten a limited time of video for the evening and Justin & Walter made sure to schedule in as many of the most important events they could for us and we are so very, very thankful... We seriously can't wait to see our wedding night in all its glory on video!!! DJ Joe graced us with his musical talent & let me tell you he had guests on the dance floor all night. Both of our families love to dance and, also, have a pretty big range in age groups.. so we were nervous about the DJ being able to find something for everyone, but he did it!!!!! Family & friends are still talking about how good the music was & it's weeks after! Our wedding night was also my mom's birthday which DJ Joe announced and asked everyone to sing "Happy Birthday" during reception. It was perfect. We also booked Eloquent Studios for the music during our ceremony which was beautiful. The music truly sets the tone for the whole day & you want someone you can trust. Being Madison venue preferred the team is completely self- independent and knows the deal as soon as they step through the door .. which was obvious in how smoothly our special event progressed throughout the evening. Walter was a pure pleasure to work with - extremely professional and respectful of what we wanted, while also being flexible as we changed our minds about certain poses and pictures. Our wedding was at the Palace and he knew the property extremely well and was able to take some beautiful photographs during that day and into the evening. I can't reiterate enough on how professional he was, making sure we got all of the shots we had requested and juggling our large families. Disclaimer: We did not end up hiring this company due to an extremely uncomfortable confrentation between Walter and my fiance. While the company truly does take beautiful photos, the level of professionalism leaves much to be desired. We did much negotiating with Walter and he did do a very good job of meeting our requests but when it was time to review the contract.....that was problematic. My fiance wanted to take a closer look at the terms and conditions and Walter was extremely upset when we asked to review the terms and conditions. He claimed that it was because he did not want us running to his competitors with it. However, he was claiming it was standard. If that was the case there was nothing that his competitors would have taken advantage of. He was also extremely pushing about the timing. He was not really willing to give us a lot of time to think over the agreement. I found all of this very unsettling, however I was willing to sign with him anyway. Until he got confrentational with my fiance. I had read several reviews on Yelp that said he could be like that, and since I had yet to experience that side of him I chose to believe what I had been seeing (which was actually quite nice despite the pushiness). But at the end of the day we just could not have our photographer being so confrentational with my fiance. So buyer beware. Form your own opinon but beware of what could possibly happen if he gets a little push back. read more

Walter and his team were AMAZING!!! We definitely presented him with a challenge having a large wedding party, but he managed to wrangle the troops and snap such memorable moments. Everywhere I turned throughout the night, Walter or a member of the team was there to capture what what was going on. He even stayed afterwards and bought my husband and I a drink at the after party! He shared a few teaser photos with us a few days after the wedding, and they were remarkable. I would recommend Eloquent Studios time and time again!! BEST photographer/videographer!! read more

We hired Eloquent Studios to perform photography and DJ services at our July wedding at the Brooklake Country Club. Walter, our photographer, was a preferred vendor for our venue and his experience showed by taking amazing shots throughout. We had him for 7 hours of shooting and were able to get all the shots we wanted and then some. We appreciated the quick turnaround in receiving the photos as well. Victor, our DJ, was amazing as well. We were able to sit down with him and talk about everything we needed from ceremony, cocktail, and reception music. He was able to adapt to last-minute changes as well, which we were very happy about. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed the Eloquent Studios experience. read more

Walter and the Eloquent Studios team were simply amazing. They really give their all with trying to get the most fabulous pictures possible. Even when you think you look stupid doing a pose, Walter comes over and shares what it actually looks like on camera and you're just speechless. I've only received some teasers so far (its only been a week and a half since my wedding) and I'm in love so far. Can't wait to see how everything else came out. We also used Eloquent as our DJ and they were great too. Played everything I asked them to and they made sure to come to me when a family member requested a song that I didn't want played. They handled that family member professionally and then asked for my approval which I denied of course! We had a hiccup with them playing the wrong songs for my girls and myself to walk down the aisle to at the ceremony. It seems they didn't get the updated email I sent even though there was confirmation of it, but again I consider it a little hiccup since everything else went so smooth. In the end, I highly recommend Eloquent since they had the majority of my guests up and dancing which is all anyone could really ask for at their wedding. read more

I must agree with the review written by Steven P. Everything he wrote was very similar to our experience for my daughters wedding in August 2015. I found Walter to be arrogant and condescending. When my daughter and I met with Walter a couple of months before the wedding I reminded Walter of a price he had quoted the previous year for the videographer. He arrogantly asked me "do you have a contract for that price?" Shame on me for not getting it in writing. I took him at his word over the phone that he would honor the verbal quote which he did not. Although it was too late to back out completely I decided not to use his services for the video. My daughter had to contact Walter several times to get a response when she needed something or had a question, but he was very prompt to send invoices for payment! When he got to the venue the day of the wedding, he immediately started hounding my daughter for props he said he let her know he needed, and was argumentative when they were not prepared. He also asked her if the bouquets were ready . When she said she said she didn't know he said " aren't you going to find out?" This upset her and set the tone for a very stressful photo shoot. Walter didn't seem to consider my daughter's feelings throughout the day. If she wanted to take a break from taking photos he would say "I guess you don't want these memories." It seemed to be more about Walter's ego and less about the bride and groom. I would rate the quality of his work as average. Walter took some beautiful pictures, but out of the 500 proofs there weren't many of the candid shots I would have expected. He didn't take many shots of guests during the cocktail hour, nor were there table shots during the reception. Because of this there were important people at the wedding that don't show up in any pictures. In an effort to minimize our dealings with Walter, we decided not to get the album from him and just get the DVD to make our own albums. On a positive note, the DJ that we got through Walter was amazing! They did a great job of honoring our music requests. There was never a moment that the dance floor wasn't full. We hired Eloquent Studios for photography and videography for our wedding and everything turned out great! Walter is very good with communication and was able to answer any questions that I had promptly. During the wedding, our ceremony started later than initially planned, which put us on a tight timeline in regards to making it to our reception on time. However, Walter was able to take all of the pictures that we wanted in a timely fashion and we were able to make it to our reception on time. We just received our photos and they turned out great! Walter was able to work quickly and efficiently during the wedding and was able to take some amazing pictures of our church as well as the reception! Walter was a pleasure to work with throughout our wedding day and his assistant and videographer were also great! They were able to give us relaxing and fun photo sessions as well as making sure that we were having a good time. Walter was very prepared and guided us through everything which allowed us to not worry and enjoy our wedding day. I would highly recommend Eloquent Studios for weddings and other events. My wedding was about two months ago, I used Eloquent Studios, Walter being my photographer. I have to say, he was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly and made everybody feel totally comfortable. He worked with me and my entire family and he got so many amazing shots of everybody at my wedding. He was very flexible and worked around my crazy schedule that day to make sure everything went smoothly. I'm really not that great when it comes to getting my pictures taken but with Walter I felt like I didn't even have to try. He made everything feel really natural and fun. He is also super creative and came up with some really special ideas for my photos. He was very prompt with getting my pictures to me and they turned out SO beautiful. He captured every special moment from my day. My husband and I got a lot of really beautiful shots. I would 1000% recommend him and Eloquent Studios for your special day! read more

We recently engaged Walter at Eloquent Studios for my daughters Bat Mitzvah. Walter was a great to work with, always on time and took excellent photos! We did an "on-location" photo shoot with my 13 year old daughter prior to the event and he made her feel super comfortable taking all sorts of different shots. On the big day Walter was a true professional from start to finish. We also used Eloquent Studios "photo booth" and everyone - kids and adults alike had a BLAST taking tons of fun pics all throughout the party. My Wedding was April 11, 2015 and the reason I am just writing my review over a year later, is because I just now am getting my albums and digital proofs of my pictures. Granted, I did take a while to choose my pictures for the album, but I still don't agree with them holding my digital proofs. I wanted to make sure I had everything in my possession before writing my review. Here was my full experience with Walter at Eloquent Studios. My main goal was to find a fun photographer who I would enjoy having the day of my wedding that would be fun for the bridal party, etc. I met Walter at a bridal show at the Basking Ridge Country Club, where he had many pictures of my venue (Meadow Wood Manor) and I also found out he was the house photographer for them. I thought, what could be better, he was nice, sounded fun, liked football (which was sort of my theme)! Boy was I wrong. First up were my engagement pictures. I don't have too much feedback on these pictures because I didn't use them for anything (not that I could anyway because I just got them today). Out of the ~100 pictures he took, I think I only liked 7. Not entirely Walter's fault, mainly I didn't like the way I looked, but I didn't see anything to spectacular in the way he shot his pictures. But oh well, I already booked him and paid him so I got over that quickly. The day of my wedding, he arrived on time and with Jasmin (who was absolutely spectacular) and ready to go. Prior to the wedding everything went fine, pre-wedding pictures at my parents' house were great and everything was on time, which was important to me. After the church ceremony and the receiving line (which he tried to convince me not to do) we took pictures on the alter. My grandmother was also taking pictures of us, and instead of professionally asking her to step to the side or say excuse me, he shrieked at her to "get out of his way." Once we arrived at the venue, pictures went fine and we were on time, which as I said was important to me because I did not want to miss my cocktail hour, which I did not. One thing that I found strange was he did not take any pictures of me with the groomsmen or my husband with the bridesmaids, I had to ask for it onsite, and I'm very glad I did since those pictures came out really cute. Walter's rudeness and abruptness did not stop, he was constantly blurting out rude comments to many of my guests to "get out of his shot" or to "move." And this continued throughout the whole night of my wedding. Luckily I was too busy having the best day of my life to notice too much of it. What really bothered me was the weeks to follow my wedding, many guests called me to tell me how wonderful the day was, but how rude my photographer had been. My videographer, also followed up with me to tell me that he had never experienced something like that in all the weddings he had done. I got my hard copy pictures a few weeks after the wedding, and they were beautiful. I really do love all of the pictures, however, there was nothing that WOWed me about Walters style. They were typical, posed wedding pictures, that I felt anyone with a great camera would have captured. Once all the dust settled, and I calmed down. It was time to make my albums, which unfortunately I had already purchased through my package with Eloquent. Jean, who was also fabulous, does the albums, so luckily I didn't have to work with Walter. When I started working with Jean, she asked me how the day went and basically asked me for feedback on Walter. Still being pretty heated about it, I told her everything and how disappointed I was in his service and how he treated my guests. Her response? "Yeah, I've told him that he really needs to work on that. He's not going to get more business that way." And yes, she was right. Out of my 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen (none of which were married at the time of my wedding), 6 are now either engaged or married, and none of them would ever hire Walter, or recommend him to anyone. I thought maybe by telling Jean how disappointed I was, maybe Walter, being the owner of the company, would reach out an apologize to an unhappy client who paid over four thousand dollars, but it was clear he didn't care since he had already gotten paid. I visited the shop a few times after that to discuss the style of the album, pick up things, etc. and almost every time I was there, Walter was in the back room and didn't come out one time to say a word to me. All in all, if you're looking for a nice, fun photographer with a unique style in photos, I wouldn't go with Eloquent Studios. I am shocked that the reviews I see are mostly good ones.... read more

UPDATE 1/9/15: Following the posting of a negative review about their services, we were contacted by an attorney demanding that the review be removed. If you came across unabashedly positive reviews for this company on other sites, be warned that the reviews may be skewed by similar tactics! If we could go back and have our wedding all over again, the only thing we would do differently is that we would never hire Eloquent Studios and Walter Cmielewski as our photographer. If you want your wedding day to be special and to be respected and appreciated by your photographer then we would strongly recommend staying as far away from Eloquent Studios as possible. If you want to spend an exorbitant amount of money and be treated like an unpersonalized consumer, then this is the place for you. Of course, the obvious question is "Why are there so many favorable reviews for this place?" It's probably two reasons. First, nobody wants to write a poor review while the photographer is still in possession of their albums (and there did indeed come a point where Walter threatened to stop working on our video and albums). Second, Walter offers a free 8X10 print for every positive review you write for him on any site. I could spend the rest of this review detailing all of the events that occurred in the last year and a half, but I think it makes more sense to just go through some of the highlights. The biggest issue is Walter's arrogance and attitude. He talks down to you and to your guests (something more than one of our guests commented on). We had to physically walk inside when it started raining outside and he wanted to continue taking pictures, despite the bride's uncomfortability. If you choose to get a photobooth be prepared to be charged for props and to have his advertisement plastered on the pictures without discussing this with you beforehand. Six weeks after our wedding we were given a form to fill out for our video and were told that production of the video could not even begin until that form was submitted (it was not a simple form and required the making of a music cd). Our video would not be ready for at least 6 months after we submitted the form. When we complained about not being given the form previously, Walter agreed to complete the video in 5 months instead of 6. However, after 5 months he denied ever saying this and told us to "prove it." And the pictures themselves? Average. They were cookie-cutter, often off-center and full of shadows. He constantly used 'burst shots' which doesn't seem to make sense for still pictures. The albums seemed to be made on Shutterfly, yet somehow took more than 4 months to complete after we selected our photos (we just received the albums 14 months after our wedding). Overall, Walter acts like he is doing you a favor despite the enormous amount of money you are paying for him to photograph one of the most special days of your lives. read more

I hired Eloquent Studios to do lighting at my wedding but had to cancel the wedding plans because of the coronavirus outbreak and make a much much smaller wedding. Due to this their services were no longer needed and I requested a refund. When I did so they refused to return any money and would only provide a credit towards future services. When I informed them that my wife and I were not interested in any future services and requested a refund again they continued to refuse. After this I damn near begged them for a refund and informed them how stressful the whole situation had been and that we would even accept a partial refund but they again refused. Luckily, I took the matter up with paypal and my credit card company and they both agreed to reverse the charges in full. Whereas every other vendor we worked with showed great kindness and understanding towards the situation we had to deal with due to covid, Eloquent was unparalleled in their rigidity. I have no idea of the quality of Eloquent Studio's work, but their customer service and ability to have flexibility leaves much to be desired. I am leaving the review at 2 stars because at least they did offer us a credit, but considering the terrible stress of our situation I expected more and was quite disappointed with the customer service we received. read more

Walter is a fantastic choice to choose for any event you have. I happened to find Walter after I talked to a few photographers and nothing grabbed my attention like it did with Walter/Eloquent Studios. When I sat down to talk to him about a quote for our wedding he won me over the passion that he has. Just by describing the photos in his albums that were on the table, I could see the excitement he had when he talked about them. We went on to talk about the engagement photo shoot and the wedding and he came up with ideas that were right up our alley. He worked with us to make sure he was capturing every moment we wanted and more. Walter and his team went above and beyond to make our day so special. He even stopped traffic to capture a picture of us in our 1929 Model A roadster. We can't thank him and his team for all they did to make our wedding so special. We highly recommend him. I met Walter at a bridal show at the Madison hotel. He raved about the venue I was going with and shared what sounded to be great work done by his DJ and photo booth. I was sold. I booked him and thought wow what could go wrong!! Ugh where to I begin?! I found out after our second payment was made that Walter is confrontational and down right RUDE. He screamed at me over a phone call one day in a way that NO professional should ever speak to a paying customer. He also offered us free uplighting due to my husband being a veteran, which he later tried to say was not in the contract!! Day of the wedding rolls around; prior to I provided the DJ with a list of over 80 songs we would like to hear throughout the night...I can say maybe 10 of them were played. I even went up and asked if they had my list...which they did in fact have right in front of them but chose to ignore. The MCee was great...at the end of the night I met the two DJs who turned out to be 16 and 17 years old. Yes that's right....16 and 17!!! We paid all this money for "professionals" who were still in high school. I would not recommend eloquent studios to ANYONE! Thankfully we have a few friends preparing for their weddings and informed them this was not the way to go. Walter was rude and we had high school students the night of our wedding. As a long-time volunteer for Susan G. Komen North Jersey, I've worked very closely with Walter and Eloquent Studios many times; they've been one of our official photographers for our major events since 2015. Like me (a PR and Marketing professional), Walter volunteers for our events, and is very generous with his time and resources. In addition to providing high quality professional photos for us, Eloquent Studios also manages photo booths for us at our events and everyone really loves getting their free souvenir photo taken by Walter and his staff. The feedback we've gotten from everyone is always extremely positive. The crazy, multi-faceted, many-things-going-on-at-one-time kinds of events we do requires a photographer that is on his/her toes every moment to ensure we get those "one chance" photos, but who also has the creativity to effectively capture the feeling and spirit of the day. Walter never misses a shot, and I know that once I've let him know what I need, I don't have to worry about it. He's super great at both the "spot on" kind of stop-action photography we need for marketing and publicity, AND taking photos that beautifully capture the spontaneity of the event--the "moments." Walter and Eloquent Studios have never let us down. They are the best there is... LOVE working with him! read more

NEVER ever work with this company. If you do make sure to write everything on your contract and have WALTER sign it ( or tape your conversation). The reason he has so many great reviews is because he tells his customers that for every great review posted on wedding signs, websites, etc. he will give you free prints. If you want evidence, I have a saved email stating just that! We used him for our 2014 wedding and it was a nightmare. He was very rude to my wedding party and was so difficult to work with when it was time to make our wedding album. He was even rude to one one my bridesmaid who was pregnant at the time (Who does that?!). We also used his company for our wedding video and the videographer was pleasant but I cannot watch that video because you can literally hear Walter's rude comments throughout the shoot. Thankfully we had a professional photographer at the wedding who took amazing photos, which came in handy when Walter refused to release our digital prints because he said it was not in the contract although I verbally asked him for it when we first spoke with him (which is why you should WRITE or TAPE everything in dealing with this man). Walter is very thin-skinned when it comes to any type of criticism or if you question him at all. He is also very confrontational and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! So don't believe those reviews. Walter must not understand that this type of business rely heavily on reviews and costumer service. Thankfully, there are more freelancers and amateur photographers who takes better pictures than Walter. read more

Walter and his staff made my wedding day memorable. Walter and another photographer got great shots all day at the wedding. What made it even better was the candid shots. Also, they worked well with the children in my wedding party and did not get upset when the kids weren't the easiest to photograph! The turn around time for all the pictures and proofs was better than expected so that made their services even better! read more
