Great drink selection in a cozy environment
    Scott W.

Excellent spot to catch a break from walking around DeLand when shopping in the area. I have never eaten here but the food that staff was delivering to customers around us looked delicious. On our most recent visit we stopped for a few drinks during the annual Fall Festival of the Arts. There are several monitors available to watch the big game or other sporting event. There is plenty of seating around the main bar, multiple hi-top tables available throughout the restaurant, more seating near the storefront window so you can people watch, and several other comfortable couches available where you can just lounge-out. Happy Hour Drink specials are Tue thru Friday 2pm to 6pm. See attached photo of menu for more details. Their beer pricing is very reasonable. Domestics are $3.50, Local brews & Specialty Brews were $6-$7, and Premium pints are $6. They offer 3oz and 6oz glasses of wine, which is great if you don't want to drink too much or are not sure if you will like something. A 6oz glass of domestic wine will run you $10, and Imported $8-$15. They also offer wine flights if that is something you are interested in. Appetizers range from $9-$15; Charcuterie Boards range from $15-$35; Large Salads cost about $14; and Sandwiches are $14. I love the vibe of this place, it is very laid back and relaxed. All the customers look like they are just chill and having a good time. I love being lazy and sipping on a cold beer on their super comfy couches. The bartender working today was very friendly and let me sample two of my beers before purchase. There was also a floater checking-in with guests at hi-tops and the couches to see if there was anything else we needed. All-n-all, an awesome experience and I will be back next time I am in the area.

Our family had a great time!!! This is a perfect location for a get together and socialize. We have this now a few times but it's been a while. We haven't been in a while and didn't disappoint!! We had the large charcuterie and 3 bottles of red Cabernet. I recommend this place to anyone visiting!!! The staff is great and service is prompt!! Place is kept very clean. Pricing was very reasonable!!!

Hands down our favorite choice for a bottle of wine and tapas! The staff is friendly and knows their wine. They are dog-friendly, and Zach gives the Grape a 5-paw rating. You can count on being greeted with a smile and a great attitude! The tapas are always consistent, well presented and delicious. The ambiance is casual.

This is a great place to get together with friends for a few glasses of wine. I recently stopped in with a couple of friends. We had the pretzel bites for happy hour. The dipping sauce was out of this world. We had our second glasses with a cheese board and Brie with baguette. While the food was very good and well plated, it seemed a bit pricey for what we got. $45 for the two plates. The wine selection is great and I highly recommend getting their made-to-order sangria. It's always fantastic. The seating that they offer is fantastic. There are tables, the bar, and many couches. It's really just the perfect get together spot.

Such a fun place to begin the weekends! Though they are open Tuesday through Sunday, we gravitate toward the elusive grape on Fridays. So great way to start our weekends With a lovely extensive collection of wine, delightful, tapas, and interesting culinary creations, the Elusive Grape has quickly become one of our "go to" places in DeLand. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is lively, and you'll always meet someone you know. Dogs are welcome, and Zach, our Maltese rescue gives the Elusive Grape 5 licks - dog speak for a 5 star rating!

I was visiting FL for a few days, and this....this was the MECCA!!! I was at home at this awesome wine bar. We showed up during happy hour, the patrons were all in their golden years, having a blast with friends, like, it makes me want to retire tmmrw! I had a few glasses of the Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc, paired that with these little wonton with 3 different flavors, delicious. My husband also got the pretzel bites to go with his beer. I absolutely loved it here. Will definitely spend ore time the next time I'm in DeLand. Very nice&attentive staff as well.

I highly recommend this spot. It's got great wine, great employees, and a really nice vibe. The wine variation is diverse and the employees consistently make really good recommendations. Whenever I'm in Deland I do my best to stop by here and enjoy one of the cozy little nooks as I sip a glass and get my chill on. Prices are reasonable and I always have a good time here. For those who live here and for those who are passing through I put this is on my must see recommendation list.

Doesn't look like much outside but super cute place. Bar to sit at or couches and comfy chairs. Lots of wine choices. Fun appetizers. Very attentive staff. Definitely will go back.

Fantastic wine bar in downtown Deland. They have a decent selection of wines by the glass, bottle and reasonably priced flights. The place is very large and can be loud but still has a good vibe. The food menu is very limited but the huge pretzel is a must!

This will definitely be a place to go when we visit our friends. This is what the name implies, a bar, nothing else. They have tables, seating at the bar and high-top tables. They have a few food options, mostly appetizers with a few sandwiches and quesadillas. We did not get any food since we had just eaten dinner. Apparently, their cowboy candy is the most popular item, its candied jalapenos over cream cheese with crackers. Maybe next time. They do sell bottle beer; it is really what most of the alcohol consists of. They do have their menu divided into categories so if you know what you are looking for it helps. They also have draft beer which rotates throughout the year, so there might be something new on the menu. I personally am not a huge fan of specialty beer like sours, and porters, but my husband is so he really enjoyed looking through the different options. I honestly cannot remember the two beer my husband tried but I know one had a really high ABV and the other one was really sour. He seemed to enjoy both, so I guess that's good. I choose to get a glass of wine instead. They have only a few wine options but also have mead. I have never had it before, but our friends were very much fans of it. The wine selection is small, but I just went with a Moscato. All in all, this is a fine bar if you are in the area. I would say if you were not a beer fan this might not be for you. They do not make any liquor style drinks only beer and wine. All in all, not bad, we would for sure go back when visiting friends in the area.

He knew all about the show and thought we should be finished with our dining by 7:10 in order to get to the theater on time. Our waitress was Amber. When she asked for our order we said we'd like some wine and sip for a few minutes before we started eating. She replied that she knew we were going to the show and that they were booked pretty heavily and sometimes the kitchen might be backed up in that situation. She told us about the specials in excellent detail, all the while keeping a genuine smile on her face. We worked the timing details out and Amber was on top of it. My wife had the Cress Salad and I had the Escargot appetizer. Main course came out when we finished the salad and appetizer. We had the Hanger Steak and the Duck breast; both were absolutely perfectly well prepared and delicious. Amber kept her eyeon us - didn't hover, but was there whenever we needed her and always very pleasant. All-in-all a great experience - both in service and in quality/flavor of our food.

Let me explain... we thought the tuna tartar was delicious. The elk bolognese seems to enjoyable. My shirmp and grits was a bit on the salty side. I'm glad I asked for sauce on the side, and even with half the sauce, it was still too much. The most disappointing part is the chicken tikka masala. There was tiny bits of chicken, and too too much root vegetables, at different cooking levels, which make it both confusing and slighly annoying. Last, we tried the creme brulee, and the top was essentially a layer of slightly cooked sugar... I'll try the scallops next time. Maybe.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving.
