Pulled up here on a weekday afternoon for a slow day while it started to pour rain, but the drinks were poured and the dart games began. When I mentioned this to the bartender that was now holding a straw but not handing it over the bartender said "yeah, you could have but then I would have tackled you and taken your drink." WOW!! Honestly at this point I'm shocked I didn't just walk out but I was kind of dumbfounded that he was so put out by giving me a one cent straw that I just stood there as he started "taunting" me by holding out the straw but when I reached for it he would pull back. *so mature* Worst 90 seconds of an interaction I had with any establishment or person on all of Flagler Ave. and in NSB. The staff is relatively friendly enough and I had no real issues. It was a decent enough place to grab a cold drink before meeting a few friends for dinner. If you are looking for a happening, hipster type bar, than Blackie's Bar is definitely not the place for you. This is the type of bar that caters 6 crowd that is more there in the bar to drink and not worry about ambiance or anything as frivolous as that. Lol.
