Although not on the menu, I was able to do a flight which allowed me to find the perfect glass for the moment. The charcuterie board was delish, just wish there had been a bit more variety in cracker/bread selection. I would have left my husband for that Crème Brûlée. Thankfully that wasn't needed. This is a date night favorite location. Tonight we stopped by after dinner, though they also serve food. Excellent spot to catch a break from walking around DeLand when shopping in the area. I have never eaten here but the food that staff was delivering to customers around us looked delicious. On our most recent visit we stopped for a few drinks during the annual Fall Festival of the Arts. There are several monitors available to watch the big game or other sporting event. There is plenty of seating around the main bar, multiple hi-top tables available throughout the restaurant, more seating near the storefront window so you can people watch, and several other comfortable couches available where you can just lounge-out. Happy Hour Drink specials are Tue thru Friday 2pm to 6pm. See attached photo of menu for more details. Their beer pricing is very reasonable. Domestics are $3.50, Local brews & Specialty Brews were $6-$7, and Premium pints are $6. They offer 3oz and 6oz glasses of wine, which is great if you don't want to drink too much or are not sure if you will like something. A 6oz glass of domestic wine will run you $10, and Imported $8-$15. They also offer wine flights if that is something you are interested in. Appetizers range from $9-$15; Charcuterie Boards range from $15-$35; Large Salads cost about $14; and Sandwiches are $14. I love the vibe of this place, it is very laid back and relaxed. All the customers look like they are just chill and having a good time. I love being lazy and sipping on a cold beer on their super comfy couches. The bartender working today was very friendly and let me sample two of my beers before purchase. There was also a floater checking-in with guests at hi-tops and the couches to see if there was anything else we needed. This is a great place to get together with friends for a few glasses of wine. I recently stopped in with a couple of friends. We had the pretzel bites for happy hour. The dipping sauce was out of this world. We had our second glasses with a cheese board and Brie with baguette. While the food was very good and well plated, it seemed a bit pricey for what we got. $45 for the two plates. The wine selection is great and I highly recommend getting their made-to-order sangria. I was visiting FL for a few days, and this....this was the MECCA!!! I was at home at this awesome wine bar. We showed up during happy hour, the patrons were all in their golden years, having a blast with friends, like, it makes me want to retire tmmrw! I had a few glasses of the Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc, paired that with these little wonton with 3 different flavors, delicious. My husband also got the pretzel bites to go with his beer. An elusive tasting experience! This place should not offer tastings. The name says everything. Visiting from out of town, we sat down to do some wine tasting. Now there's a problem right from the start, "we sat down". We have been in the wine industry for decades. We ordered 2 flights of 4. So, 3 whites and 5 reds total. There were nice Burgundy glasses on a shelf above we could have had, but she gave us 8, small 2 oz souvenir glasses. So much for swirling. She, our pourer, smiled a lot, but didn't know anything about wine. I suggested they give us 1 glass each and pour the wines in the same glass but no, that would mean time spent and discussions with us. Hey owners, hire people who know about wine. Wine tasting is not beer tasting. Visit CA and then come back and do it right. Gets worse, the reds were refrigerated same as the whites! She said the owners say it makes the reds last longer...FAIL. Once our wines were all poured, we had to cup the reds in our hands to get them to proper temp. Then nobody ever stopped once to ask us anything or even visit at all. Obvious boss-girl would never make eye-contact with us as she stopped in front of us or walked by. Tasting selection was good. We told the nice young lady we would never be in again, and why. I highly recommend this spot. It's got great wine, great employees, and a really nice vibe. The wine variation is diverse and the employees consistently make really good recommendations. Whenever I'm in Deland I do my best to stop by here and enjoy one of the cozy little nooks as I sip a glass and get my chill on. Prices are reasonable and I always have a good time here. After enjoying a wonderful evening, we witnessed the owner of the restaurant disrespecting one of his servers out loud in front of all customers. It was so sad, it made us sick. They do have a few wine-friendly foods on their menu, but in lieu of a kitchen, you're welcome to bring in entrées from any local establishment to enjoy with your wine. And prices are downright reasonable. It's clear these folks simply want their guests to be relaxed, at ease, and having a good time. They certainly succeed at that. We visited as part of our homecoming / reunion festivities, and had an absolute blast. DeLand was busy (the place was hopping!) with their annual live music festival. That didn't prevent the Elusive Grape from being friendly and efficient with their service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. And I'll happily visit again, when I'm next in DeLand. Ian is very knowledgeable and try do wine education classes here! I wish I lived closer to attend a wine class as I am sure it would be fun. I've visited this place when I was in town twice now. Once was during the DeLand Art Festival and I was excited to hear him say "do you want that for here or to-go" as I wanted to walk around with a nice chilled glass of wine and still enjoy the art festival and hear the bands outside. But every time I walk passed Elusive Grape, it's always full of people, usually an older crowd so you won't be bombarded with a bunch of obnoxious college students. Great place for a date night. We went on a Friday before exploring the Artisan Alley. I had a sauvignon blanc that was really tasty and only $5 so really affordable. Also tried the Argentinean Syrah and it was smooth and slightly sweet, I was really impressed. We also built our own meat and cheese platter. It might have been too loud and the server didn't hear, but we didn't get 100% or what we ordered. The truffle cheddar was my favorite of the cheeses and the prosciutto was delicious. read more

I had a Pinot noir & the Shiraz and they are great. Sorry to anyone who may inquire about the beer here- I'm a fine wine man so this place screamed for me.
