I was forced to find a new groomer on short notice due to my groomer retiring suddenly. UGH. Worrying ensued! Luckily, I remembered my old dog park crew had recommended Elverta Sudzy Paws highly in the past and Sudzy also had 5 stars on YELP. After a week of procrastinating, I called and was able to get an appointment at Sudzy Paws with Dale in 3 weeks (after originally setting one up for 5 weeks out) as a client had just canceled. I was so relieved to have a new place to take him. By the time we got to Sudzy Paws, Teddy was a full month late for his grooming (bath, haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning/trim, and blow-dry). Not only were they super nice about everything their services were also affordable. My dog, who usually doesn't take well to new groomers, did great with Dale he both liked and trusted her, which is very important to have with a groomer. This place is awesome- home of the free nail trim?! That's unheard of anywhere else! I honestly didn't realize they did nail trims for free until I went some months ago and a technician came out to my car when I got there, carried my small corgi inside and in what felt like about 5 minutes, she was carrying my corgi back and putting her in the car again for me! So funny, she apologized for taking so long and explained it was because everyone inside were petting my corgi Haha. The service here is phenomenal! I need to go back for another nail trim soon and will certainly bring cash to tip (they only accept tips in cash). read more

Okay, I'm not a client, but I wanted to give some very good feedback about this place. I'm a dog trainer and a dog's emotional well being is very important to me. One of my friends has been bringing her dog here for a couple of years and they are very patient and kind to him and they go slow. He's much better about being handled now and no longer snarls and growls when being brushed or touched. This is amazing for a groomer to have this effect on a dog. Plus he always looks great! Tonight a puppy that is attending my classes came in looking all fresh with her bows and her first cut and grooming earlier today. But what impressed me was how playful and confident she was tonight. She was in a great mood after being at the groomers all day which is totally unheard of. She was confident with the other off leash puppies and played and strutted around with the toys in her mouth, where she had been quite timid before. I don't know what happens at the groomers shop but it's a rare find and they are working miracles! read more

I made this appointment last minute and they were really accommodating, fitting me in on Saturday at 3 pm. I was kind of nervous leaving him at a new groomer but they were very friendly and let me know they were going to be about and hour and a half. Once I arrived he was still getting groomed but I watched the process and the groomer was very gentle with him while she was completing everything! My mother lives in rio linda and has mentioned multiple times that I should bring my dog in to get groomed here. I was looking for a place to take my morkie for his first hair cut and thought I would give it a chance. At first I was super skeptical due to the location almost looks like an abandoned building. But immediately upon arrival Katie put me at ease that I was leaving my loving pup in good hands. She was so gentle with him trying to earn his trust. The last time I took my puppy to petsmart to be groomed they told me it would be about 4 hours and after 6 hours they couldn't get the job done. However at Sudzy Paws an hour after I dropped my pup off Katie called and said he was ready to go. He looked great and the cute bandana was the perfect extra touch. I was welcomed and they took my overgrown shaggy dog right away and didn't make me feel bad at all that it had been way to long since her last grooming. Of all the groomers we've tried in the Sacramento area over the last 9 years Dale at Sudsy Paws is by far the best. She listens to what we want for our Furball and always delivers. She never overbooks like all the other places we've tried so our boy doesn't have to wait to be groomed. In fact, she's usually ready and waiting for him when we arrive. And when she tells us what time our boy will be ready she is always right on so it's easy to plan our day. Dales's prices are exceptional and a bath and cut also include nail trimming and anal gland cleaning (both of which we would NEVER try ourselves).
