Honestly will never return. This was my very first visit. The woman who worked on my nail never introduced himself or talked to me so I didn't catch his name. I asked him SPECIFICALLY for glow in the dark powder or acrylic. Had said they did not have I had to ask another nail tech who said the only glow they had was a soft white. She handed him the powder and he then finished my nails. I asked for long and he did my nails very thin to where I had 4 broken nails within the first week. I work at home typing for a living so I have never had this problem. I was also not notified that glow in the dark powder was $5 extra UNTIL the very end. To make matters worse during my whole full set that lasted a week my nails NEVER glowed. Just left a new nail shop and they confirm that it was in-fact ordinary powder. Last Tuesday my best friend and I went for a girls day. We both got the paraffin pedicure, she got an SNS full set,and I got a full in with a two designs and gel polish. I also got eyebrows and a lip wax. The total was $195 for us both, plus a $25 tip so I spent quite a bit of money at this establishment. The only thing that wasn't so great at the appointment was our water for the pedicures were scorching hot. We got a little annoyance from an employee when we asked for cold water to be added. Since it was so hot it took a couple of tries before the water was bearable enough to keep our feet in. Besides that the visit went fine so we just disregarded the situation with the water and I felt what I paid was okay for the services we received. When we left the real problems began. We went on the 15th of May and it is now the 24th. Over the course of 9 days I have had the nail polish on my left thumb nail completely peel off. It started after the second day then progressively got worse. The gel is also starting to disappear on the designed nail of the same hand. My other thumb nail is also noticeably shorter and wider at the tip, unfortunately I could not properly take a picture. My friend has had two nails come completely off and the rest are lifting so bad that her hair extensions are being ripped out from getting stuck between her real nail and the SNS dip powder. The staff was nice and the environment was very relaxing, but the amount of money I paid for the longevity of the services I received is unfair in my opinion. I know false nails and polish don't last forever, but never in my 10 years of wearing false nails have I experienced anything like this. I wanted to call and have them fix our nails, but at this point I'm nervous that the same thing will happen again. While this place is nice I will not be giving any more of my money for nails that don't last. read more

So let me say that I've been going here for about 3-4 years and 80% of the time I've been pleased with the facilities, ambiance and services given for the price paid. As a repeat customer they offer the stamp cards so the 11th pedicure or nail service is free :-) for Pedicures Tom (the older gentleman or any of the men do the best. I always get the pink and white acrylic on my natural nail bed and color on my toes. Tina & Ha provide the best service and they do all the designs.! Well...new to this state from the west coast thought I had found a new nail salon, but...they couldn't remain consistent. Third time in, the girl that everyone seems to like became rude when I didn't want my nails done the way 'she wanted them done.' She said something rude in Vietnamese and all the workers started glaring at me. Not to mention the week before I went in for filler and it was uneven and my nails started falling off after the 2d week. I travel a lot and visit many nail salons, first time I've ever had nails fall off. Also, the same worker poses as a customer on Yelp with a fictitious name. Took my Sister and Mom to get their nails done yesterday evening around 5:00PM. We used to come to this nail salon quite often when I was younger. After this experience we will never come here again. My sister got acrylic nails done ($30) which is an average price for an Acrylic Set. Came out looking super crooked and very blocky. It was a complete crappy job and was done in less than 20 mins. Now to my moms pedicure, she enjoyed it for the most part until there was a really loud noise going on from someone's chair (not relaxing at all for $28).... then there is me..... I paid $28 to get my feet completely burned (picture below) and this seems to be an ongoing thing too from reviews. I continued 3 times to tell them the water was WAYYYY too hot and they put literally maybe 8oz of Cold Water in there to "cool it down" I had red feet for 3 hours after the pedicure! I'm pissed of that I paid $86 (+$10 tip.... didn't tip for mine because of how upset I was) for such shitty service. I suggest going somewhere else where they don't switch nail techs out during your experience. I got an "apology" but even that was half assed. Should've never had to have payed for this. Nice experience. Friendly receptionist got me a pedicure chair right away. I got the basic pedicure. It there was nothing basic about it compared to other places that I have gone. They helped me match my color to my newly bought bathing suit, gave a great leg and foot massage- which is awesome bc I served tables at a restaurant all night, so my feet were soooo sore. Not only that, he then wrapped my lags in nice hot towels while I got my toes painted. I was even offered a glass of wine!!! Great experience, the salon was pretty packed but they were staffed properly for the weekend traffic. I shall most definitely be returning once my color starts to grow out. read more

Once I got over the Nails in the floor next to my feet, from the person before me.. the guy was very quick doing my nails... however I think I have more polish on my finger than my nail and I have a big bubble on each finger like there is a huge glob of gel paint on each of them. My nails officially look like hot garbage. Next time I'll wait it out at lady nails instead of trying a new place. Save yourself some time and just nope out. read more

I came here after seeing great results online and from friends that recommended this place to me only to be disappointed. Not only were they rude, but they were unprofessional, sloppy, and lazy as well. When I came in, the owners daughter referred to my friend and I as kids in Vietnamese (which I understood), I let this go hoping they would still treat us as adult customers (we were both 20 at the time) BIG mistake. The woman who worked on my nails asked what I had on my nails which was SNS from a few weeks before and she called me a dumb kid in Vietnamese again when she was able to pop off the nails like acrylic saying i didn't even know what I had you CAN pop SNS off like acrylics btw. At this point I was just hoping she was good enough to do my nails, my nails were so uneven, she was rushing so much despite the fact that the store was not busy, when she was done you could clearly see an uneven line of clear coat on top, seriously? You couldn't have even applied clear coat nicely? My friend got acrylics and the lady didn't even clean off her nails, cut cuticles, or anything. She also received similar treatment. It was pretty clear that they treated us poorly because we looked pretty young and they assumed we wouldn't tip big. Anyways I went out to eat 5 hours later and my nails were completely destroyed, I should be able to eat 5 hours later without my nails messing up. I called back and asked if they would fix it free of charge and all I got was a bitchy attitude and a shitty fix up until they realized I knew the owner and wow a whole 180 degree turn in attitude, the woman actually smiled at me for the first time after making snarky comments about my friend and I all day in Vietnamese assuming I didn't understand. I moved to Smyrna (from Murfreesboro) about 5 years ago...to the date! I've been coming here ever since. The employees are very friendly and their service is excellent. I usually walk in for a sea salt pedicure and a brow wax. I've gotten a gel manicure once, and a regular manicure once. (I am rough with my hands, so I don't pamper them as often!) I really like their loyal customer punch card! Tom (the older man) gives awesome pedicures...if you like deep massages and heavy foot-scrubbing! I don't get my nails done too often, but the very few times I have, this is the only place I go to in TN. It's convenient to my house, and the price is fair. During my latest visit I decided to upgrade my pedicure to add the hot stone message. It was nice; however it was a little rushed. It was a busy Saturday. I went to the spa for a pedicure and a full set. The pedicure costs about 30 something and the full set was supposed to cost about 35. I picked out a swatch that I liked and brought it to the lady I told her I just wanted a full set and that was all nothing extra. As soon as she finished I told her that I would like to know my total and she told me it was $108 I asked her how was that possible? And she told me that I had gel polish on my nails I told her I did not ask for gel. I told her that I did not want gel and I told her that I was expecting the $35. She told me that I should have told them I did not want gel specifically. I don't know how more specific she wants me to get! I told her I just wanted a full set nothing more. I paid the money and I did not want to cause a scene so I went home to call and talk to someone instead of causing a scene in front of my friends that I had come with. I called and the woman on the phone lied to me and told me she was the manager. She was very unprofessional she told me that I was the one who was stupid and that I should've been paying attention. I told her that I was upset because the gel nail polish cost me an extra $40 which is not fair to not tell your customer. She went on and on about how it was my fault. I never get my nails done so I did not know That gel polish was something different. I was just getting them done for fun with my friends. I am somewhat new to the Smyrna area, so I am still trying to find the right nail tech.. Unfortunately, I don't think this place will be it. Last week I came in for my fill in, when I got there the guy said that the fill in would be $23. My last visit, the woman who did my nails said the fill in would be $18 the next time I came in. I cannot STAND being told a certain price one day and it ends up being different the next. That's bad business. The guy said that I was being charged extra because of the nail shape/length. But the thing is, I already got charged for the shape the last time I was here, and now the guy is trying to charge AGAIN for not only the shape but the nail length this time as well. I have never gone to a nail shop for a fill in where they charge for the shape/length every time (just the initial full set) If this was the case I would have never gone there nor got my nails done the way I did. The woman should have told me that I would have to repeatedly keep paying extra for the shape and also extra for when my nail grows out to a certain length for each fill in. Which is absolutely ridiculous. After I broke down everything I just said above, the guy had a very nonchalant attitude and was still demanding that I pay the $23 or there will be no work done. But he had already used nail polish remover to take off polish from one hand, so I was left with no choice but to go ahead with the fill in. Very poor judgement on the associate's part. All he had to do was honor the $18 fill in that was originally said to me (I know that's not taking away much from the company) and I would have been fine, but instead I sat there awkwardly during my my whole fill in because of the bad vibes that occurred at the start. This shouldn't even be a 1 star. I came into this place because the place I usually go to was full and wasn't excepting anymore. I got a full set, my pedi, and my eyebrows done. The full set looks like shit she did not even do anything of what I asked for and when I told her to correct it she got an attitude saying "why didn't you say it from the beginning" that I wanted square shape very square which I did from the moment I sat down. My pedi was done by a guy it looks like the toe nails aren't shaped equally, and it was all so fast he even hurt me in the process. My eyebrows are ok not much of a complain about that yet, haven't really seen them. And then they kicked me out by saying your nails are done and pointing at the door like wtf I paid $60 for a bunch of shitty work. Stopped by for the first time and I must say they met my expectations! I had Max, who was a male and did such a phenomenal job with my manicure and pedicure. He took his time and even chatted with me despite slight language barrier. It was nice getting to know him! This is probably one of the better places I've been to. The ambiance is very calming and relaxing but the music not so much but that didn't bother me. They offer something free to drink while you treat yourself. When you walk into Elysian Nails Spa you will find it beautifully done. I used to go years ago and the remodeling of the shop is gorgeous. I went yesterday, a Sunday afternoon to get a pedicure. It was very quiet in there and there were three men and one woman handling all the work. I have never had a man do my feet before. He was efficient. My feet look fine. The problem that I have which means I will never go back is that I noticed that NO ONE washes their hands between customers. He came to me after doing someone else's feet. Did not wash his hands. He left my feet ((I have fungus on one toenail) and went to do a woman's nails. Did not wash his hands. No one washed their hands. He stopped doing her nails long enough to take my payment. Again, no hand washing was done. I don't know if their instruments were clean. The file was not clean I do know that. The pumice stone had been used on someone else. When I walked away from the water bowl, my skin was laying in the bowl. I am sure they will just rinse it out with water and put someone else's feet in there. Nasty. That's all I have to say. I will be reporting them to the proper state department. This is dangerous for all of us going there. read more
