We moved into a house that needed to have the old hardwood floors redone, and wanted to add matching hardwood seamlessly into the bedrooms with carpet (and only plywood underneath). We were referred to these guys by a friend who had used them a few times before for different projects. Adam (the owner of Carpet and Flooring Connoisseurs) come out and measured, and showed us a bunch of samples of different finishes, gave us a quote that was very close to the other 3 quotes we received, but between the online reviews, the recommendation from our friend, and finally the option for the natural Woca oil finish (the other quotes were for poly only), we went with Adam. (As far as I understand, Woca is basically a natural wood hardener which isn't as shiny as poly, and actually seals into the wood instead of sitting on top of it - google Woca for more info) They delivered the wood upon deposit, and after it acclimated to our home for a few days, they did the following: Sanded the old floors down, replaced part of the hallway where the old floor had some damage, fixed a big water stain in a main room, tore up the old subfloor top layer and added new hardwood to the 3 bedrooms, and did the Woca oil finish. From the start of the work (not counting delivery and acclimation of wood) they started on a Monday and were out by Thursday night. (Then there were 2 additional days we waited for the finish to set before we could walk on it - didn't want to ruin it!) The final product is beautiful, and you can't even tell where the old floor ends and the new begins. The Woca finish feels a lot different than poly - imagine how a freshly sanded butcher block feels, it's really soft on our feet. See pictures attached here as well. Adam was great, they worked with us on scheduling and returned emails and calls quickly, his crew was totally professional (and super fast), and we would honestly recommend these guys to anyone.

Two workers moved all furniture out and back in systematically, removing moulding and replacing it when room was finished. The project was completed quickly (product was delivered in 5 days and install of 1600 sq ft was done in 4 days). I highly recommend using this company. I couldn't be happier.

After flooring they returned to re do as the matte was too matte, after 4 months I noticed splitting in the cracks of the coating. It took 15 years to see the cracks on the first coating done professionally. I believe they watered down or thinned down the coating. This is why the 3.5 rating. The original crew showed up on time but did a poor job on the steps. Owner had to come back and re-paint the walls on the stairs. Due to rain, they coated in a small foyer where light was very low the walls o the stairs, when looked in daylight very uneven coating. It is now one year since they have been here, and I see the floors deteriorating much faster. I would do more research on the company before hiring them. There price was reasonable, but the project grew from one room to two rooms and then a stairwell, then a hallway and then one more room. All due to color and rooms flowing into each other. The color has to match. They accommodated me well, but I think the quality was on the poor side.

Their guys removed my panel cover and used glorified jumper cables to hook up to my main electrical panel and were tripping breakers while using their equipment. If they need 240 volts for their equipment they should have brought a generator. A month later I started having electrical problems. I called and left voicemails at 2 different numbers and emailed the office, manager, and the owner but no answer. I went to their office and found the manager there. I was told that I need to talk to the owner who conveniently wasn't there and he wouldn't give me the owner's number. The floor looks pretty good but they still didn't come back and fill in holes that they know about. I was told that they've never had a problem like this in 25 years. I work in the trades and I've made plenty of mistakes. I would be wary of anyone who says they've never had a problem. The problem I was having ended up not being related to their work but the fact that I was completely ignored is very unprofessional. To this day no one has answered me. I left a review from another account as well as my wife on Google but both were deleted. I know who NOT to recommend...

While they were shaving my post I watched a worker take chunks out of the wood. I stated it needed to be fixed. the worker used wood filler that wasn't stainable. it's their job to know that not mine. I allowed them to do the work -I come back to a broken storm door completely bent screws missing that I had to fix myself- there was a gash in my wall on my stairs that I had to fix myself as well - no thank you from the company. there was a blemish on my floor right by kitchen- there was a stain in my closet -there was a stain in my dining room and my post going up my stairs was silver in multiple spots. I addressed this with the owner David Habib and he basically said well there's nothing that they could do nor did he offer any type of compensation. He said they would color it or try to blend it. He Didn't want to pay for the post that they ruined - so my husband said we would split it and we didn't have to. I told him the post could not stay like that/ it needs to be changed/ the post was on back order for three months. I told him when he came if he was going to take the post out I don't wanna have to deal with any more problems- he could not guarantee that. I could've been a bitch and said I don't care if it creates more problems if it creates more problems then you resand the stairs and you fix it but instead because I'm a good person I said I'll just leave the post like that after paying $7000 and I'll touch it up as best as I can thinking that I was preventing him from going into a bigger problem which indirectly wasn't my problem. the spindles on my stairs were taken out and never glued back: sent him a message about that got no response . I decided to call his partner Sean and tell his partner that where I come from this is not how people do business if the job is not 100% then I should be offered compensation and I'm not paying 100% of the bill. This wasn't one issue it was multiple. He came to my home clearly wasn't too happy about taking a dollar off the bill- he just wants to have imperfections in a home and not give a shit. offered a credit to the company and I said a credit will not be suffice. If you hire this company you better make sure the work is perfect because he will pretty much tell you to go fuck yourself and not give a shit about fixing it. My husband told him he needs to take $600 off the bill due to stains that I have to look at and live with for the next 15 to 20 years I think that was pretty fair. Both myself & my husband had no problem with anything else but had a problem with them not taking accountability for the multiple stains and markings that were on my floor after the job was done. we thought All was good but since David Habib had to finally move like a real businessman with morals he's mad- four weeks ago a worker dragged a box across my floor. nothing major the floor just needs to be buffed I sent multiple emails multiple text messages/multiple voicemails myself & my husband for five weeks to try to get in touch with them- they both ignored us. They want to appoint blame at the customer for having a reaction to their work the picture speak for themselves. Got a new company that wanted the color bc its custom - so consistently stated we need information & ignored on every attempt - finally Dave answers 6 wks later and says due to circumstances find someoneELSE to fix the job. I all of a sudden don't want to live w stains and markings on my floor and post that can't be fixed - stay tuned David habib I'm just getting started ur a horrible businessman Ps don't listen to anything he has to say in his response - trying to save face - narcissist- is getting mad at others people's reaction to their shit behavior - what I stated is exactly the truth ! Facts on facts - he finally found a customer that he wants r allowed to cut corners - Conversation from my husband to him has been added - no response. Wonder why . Stay away from this company at all cost
