It went from awkward to creepy very quickly. On top of that, at the end of the session they had the nerve to practically force a tip on me. The therapist stood there staring at me, then loudly said something like "You pay tip now? How much you give?". It felt aggressive and manipulative, especially after the uncomfortable experience I just had. I was so eager to leave that I ended up giving something just to get out of there, which I immediately regretted. Zero professionalism, zero respect for boundaries, and a sleazy up-sell at the end. Before my appointment, the front desk called and asked if I could come 30 minutes later, and I happily accommodated their request by arriving for a 4:30 PM appointment. My massage therapist, Mike, didn't actually begin my massage until around 4:40 PM and finished at 6:00 PM, so I received only about 80 minutes instead of the full 90 minutes I paid for. When I checked out, the front desk asked how my massage was. I explained that I didn't receive the full 90 minutes. Instead of apologizing or looking into it, she simply asked whether I wanted to pay by cash or credit. Even though I didn't receive the full service, I still left a 15% tip. To my surprise, the front desk then asked if I could tip more. I explained that I hadn't even received the full massage I paid for and was already tipping on the full amount. Being asked to increase my tip under those circumstances was inappropriate and honestly left me speechless. Only after I raised the issue again did she say she would check the cameras and speak with the therapist. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me most wasn't just losing 10 minutes of my massage--it was the lack of accountability and the poor customer service afterward. As someone who has supported this business in the past, I expected much better. I hope management reviews what happened and improves how situations like this are handled because this experience has made me think twice about returning.
