The kind you wished everyone stumbled into upon arriving in Houston. You get a sense of both a mini bodega and a smoke shop when you walk in. The low hum of a beverage cooler hoarding a variety of interesting drinks is what speaks to you first, then a quick glance around and it seems everything is pulling you towards it to take a look. That's the cool thing about these kind of shops, you don't really know what you'll stumble upon, what your eyes will land on before anyone else. My first time was about 2 years ago, and I came back recently only for the inside to have expanded and now people can enjoy yummy daiquiris as well in a laid back dining room. I've came in while one of the employees was jamming their oldies' mix and it honestly felt like a little break from the world. A little time out. I love places like these in the way they hold space.
