So I had to check this place out when I wanted to upgrade from a $20 vape eGo pen. Yelp reviews aside, the shop is a short walk from home. Plus I purchased the $10 for $20 deal. I was tired of the way the eGo worked so sporadically yet I really loved the fact that if I vaped, that's one less cigarette I smoked. My boyfriend and I began to research which upgrade we needed more info. Local vape shop here we come! We walked in and Danny greeted us with a smile. He recommended the subox nano kit. At $85 for it and $15 for the battery, this was about what I expected to spend. The fun part came next: flavor testing! Omg - I'm not going to explain it - go experience the tasty treat yourself. Danny, who helped us, really impressed me here. We tried at least a dozen different kinds and even retried one or two. He was very knowledgeable and super patient. I told him my favor preferences and he took me through the menu. The menu is really good at accurately giving a realistic description of what you try. We each chose a different one, but I've already planned to return for more! On a different note, I found the shop layout and design to be pleasing. The way the store was arranged focused on what Vape-Lot rocks at: customer service. They don't rely on fancy displays or flashy decor, the employees are key. I'm new to Vaping. I actually enjoy hookah a lot, but it can get expensive and you have to go to these spots to do them. So I wanted to try vaping that way I can be at home, or driving or anywhere and just the various flavors that are offered. When I went Victor greeted, he was wrapping up with another customer so I waited less than 5 minutes. I did some research before I went and I kind of knew what I wanted. I ended up getting a KangerTech Subox Mini. The device cost me about $80. Being new to vaping I am not really sure of the flavors or companies who make them. So I was able to try a few different flavors until i found what I wanted. I bought two additional flavors. The total cost was $136.40 for the KangerTech Subox Mini plus 2(two) ml flavors. The people that worked there were down to earth and helpful only when they sensed I needed assistance, which is comforting because I always like to look for myself first without being hassled every other second, and they answered my questions pertaining to my budget. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my visit to this shop. I'm from L.A. And decided to check out several shops during my visit to Houston. This is one of two that really stood out to me. The selection of juices was great. Lots of choices and plenty of well-known and popular brands. The selection of gear was pretty solid. The prices were reasonable. What really stood out though was the customer service. My wife and I were helped out by a gentlemen who appeared to be the owner. Totally took his time with us and was a pleasure to talk with. He let us sample to our heart's content and gave some good recommendations. When he didn't have the nic level I wanted in one of the juices, he even told me where I could go where they would probably have it in stock. Very cool. These guys are the best! I was a noob to the vaping scene and Danny helped me pick a new kit, juice and explained everything top to bottom! He even assembled my drip mod for me and said he would help me troubleshoot any problems I had in the future. The store is a place to come and sample flavors at your leisure with a comfortable leather seating area and bar.
