We hired Erica to take photos at our event and it was a nightmare. Her attitude and bad energy throughout the event was very unprofessional, she was not warm or friendly at all. She was snappy with guests/family members that wanted their photo taken and if they asked her to take a photo of something they wanted captured her response was for them to "mind their business." Even when I asked her to take photos of certain things or people during my event her response was "I'm a professional you don't need to tell me this." Excuse me, any event photographer should be considering what their client wants to see. That is not up to you to take photos of what you please and not capture what they actually want for memories. I wish it ended there but Erica gave us our photos heavily edited and filtered. The photos were very dark and completely changed the vibe of the room/event. When I explained our dislike, without any response to our concerns or even an attempt to fix it she instead just left us with the raw images that have such poor quality and lighting, that even an iPhone could've done us better. No edits or retouches at all simply because we didn't like her original edits. Do yourself a favor and don't hire this photographer for your event. She delivers what she wants and doesn't value her customers wishes AT ALL. read more

We booked Erica for our son's 2 year old end of summer photos and first professional photoshoot. I had already viewed Erica's incredible work and heard great things about her, but I was still concerned about the possibility of great outdoor photos for an active toddler. She exceeded my expectations! The entire process was seamless, she was responsive and flexible and took time to ask my thoughts on the vibe for the shoot. She provided insight on his outfit selection, time of day, etc. She did great with my son and captured really great and memorable shots. She took so many photos that we had a very hard time narrowing down what to select. He was engaged, laughing and giggling the entire time! The photographer was rude & unprofessional. She provided no alternative options & refused the deposit refund, which was less than 24hours of it being sent. I was in communication with this photographer for some weeks trying to coordinate my makeup artist and stylist. After finally getting everyone on the same page I checked in to confirm the appointment option was still available. After sending my deposit I asked her about receiving full body shots along with basic headshots. She expressed that the option I chose was only for headshots. Her price list doesn't say the options so I was slightly confused. I am from out of state and don't travel to Seattle often. When I decided to cancel she told me I couldn't receive my deposit back and it was less than 24hours from the time I sent it. She is not a pleasant person to work with especially during these times of trying to rebuild business. It's unprofessional to take peoples money without providing a service!!!!! Holy smokes - I'm SO thrilled I found Erica and Emazing Photography. My husband and I hadn't had a professional photo shoot since we were married in 2012. Almost 8 years and one kiddo later, we decided it was time to actually get dressed, put on makeup (ok that was just me), and hire someone to come out and take pictures. From the get-go, Erica was a dream to work with. Responded to emails quickly, provided pricing and policies up front, and made scheduling ridiculously easy. She made us feel so comfortable, worked so well with our sometimes stubborn 3yr old, and with just a one-hour shoot, we have more photos worthy of a frame and wall space than I have room for!
